Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 151: Siblings bond
Dragons with dark hearts were capable of transforming into mindless beasts at a certain point in their lives. Dragons with dark hearts were usually imprisoned in portal dungeons, which were terrifying and gruesomely dark.
Sage felt cursed knowing that her brother would one day turn into a mindless beast.
She had only recently discovered she had a brother, but he was going to leave her sooner or later.
"How is this possible? You are supposed to be protected from that because your mother was a mage and your father was a dragon... The magical genes are meant to be shields right?" Sage asked, stunned, as she took a shaky step away from him.
"It is very possible, but no one else will know. You do not need to be concerned." Stefan assured her.
Sage pursed her lips and nodded. "Is there something going on between you and Ashton?" She asked with interest.
Ashton’s eyes widened in surprise, then narrowed as he became agitated by her unexpected question. "What makes you think that?" He asked, nervously scratching the back of his neck.
Sage smiled brightly and poked Stefan’s bare chest, and he gasped, slapping her hand away. "Stop it!" He raised his voice, still flustered by her question, and Sage burst out laughing.
"Get dressed and accompany me out of the castle." She told him and moved towards him, poking his chest once more.
"Sage!" He yelled and turned away.
Sage laughed even louder and dashed to the door, opened it, and walked out, closing it loudly behind her.
Instead of Ava, Ashton was right in front of her. She wasn’t stunned, but she kept laughing at Stefan and tapping Ashton on the shoulder.
He looked at her, wondering if she had drank something or if she had hit her head somewhere.
Suddenly, her expression became solemn, and her grip on the demon’s broad shoulder tightened, causing him to widen his eyes at her.
"I haven’t given you my permission to approach my brother, so do not even think about approaching him until Cyrus returns to his normal state." She spoke in a threatening tone.
Ashton’s brow furrowed in surprise. "Are you threatening me?" In disbelief, he inquired.
"I am, and if I were you, Ashton Petrov, second prince of hell, I would be terrified of Sage Dragos." Ashton laughed as she ended her words with a deep hiss.
"I was correct; you are absorbing some of his personalities." Sage scoffed as he chuckled. "By the way, I haven’t seen you in a week, and seeing you all dressed up, I am glad you are going to meet him." He added as she pouted, her arms crossed across her chest.
"Do not get involved in my and my husband’s relationship." She mumbled.
Ashton nodded. "All right," he said, chuckling.
Suddenly, the door opened, revealing Stefan, who was neatly dressed and ready to accompany his sister out of the castle. When he saw Ashton, he blinked quickly and looked at Sage, who was now grinning at him teasingly.
"Good morning.." Stefan greeted the demon with trepidation.
Ashton was taken aback and looked at the Lord with a mischievous smile. "A very good morning." He stated. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
"All right, let’s go!" Sage groaned and grabbed Stefan’s arm, prompting him to close the door and follow her.
Ashton stood there staring at the siblings as they walked away. "Is Cyrus contagious?" He inquired, rubbing his chin. "Impressive," he said as he followed Sage and Stefan.
"How come you didn’t go with Cyrus?" Sage inquired as she walked down the hallway between the men.
"He left without telling anyone, to be honest." Unexpectedly, Ashton informed.
"What? Why?!" Sage inquired, surprised.
"Who knows what is going on in his dark, devious mind? Even I, Ashton Petrov, am unaware." Ashton spoke with pride.
Sage sighed as she fiddled with her fingers. "You, too, are unpredictable." She mumbled something.
"By the way fire mage, are you sure that you can resurrect Cyrus’ normal state?" Sage abruptly halted her steps and lowered her head in response to Ashton’s question.
Both Ashton and Stefan came to a halt, their gazes fixed on her, and they could feel her anguish.
"Does that mean you do not know how to resurrect him?" She inquired slowly.
"Unfortunately, It is not possible." Ashton replied and Stefan glared at him murderously.
Ashton laughed when he saw this. "What? I am telling her the truth, and you, righteous lord Stefan, should be proud of me." He winked at Stefan, who rolled his eyes and turned away.
"You should occasionally tell a lie to make someone feel better. Someone similar to my sister." Stefan growled through his teeth before turning to face Sage and walking towards her.
Sage smiled and raised her head to meet his gaze. "There is no need to lie to me, and I appreciate your concern for me." She stated.
"What is the purpose of siblings?" Sage teared up as Stefan asked with a chuckle.
"I.." She stumbled and wrapped her arms around him tightly.
Stefan was taken aback when Sage suddenly embraced him, and his eyes widened in surprise, welling up with tears.
It was an experience he would never forget.
Having Sage hug him at that moment made him feel relieved and convinced him that their bond as siblings was building. He wanted the bond to be strong, he wanted Sage to trust her but then again, the only person occupying his sister’s mind and soul was the ice dragon, Cyrus Dragos.
Stefan didn’t know what do as he couldn’t stop her.
’As long as he makes her happy,’ he thought to himself and smiled.
He stiffly turned his gaze to Ashton, who unexpectedly kissed him on the lips and pulled away with a bright smile, making his heart skip a beat and wrapping his arms tightly around Sage.
When Ashton saw the Lord’s face turn bright red, almost like his sister’s hair, he burst out laughing and turned to see Mirabella standing there, stunned.
