Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 135: Controlled by an elder mage
Sage couldn’t help but panic as she couldn’t believe what was happening right in front of her eyes.
Katherine wasn’t thinking clearly, and Sage was sure that she didn’t want to kill her with her correct senses.
The statkus mages had done something to Katherine that appeared to be possession.
Katherine tightened her grip on Sage’s neck, causing her to gasp in surprise.
Sage’s glowing lava veins on her neck became visible, and as Katherine smiled insanely, the blood pouring out of her nose and ears increased.
"The energy, yes.. yes.. I can feel it." Katherine spoke in hushed tones.
"No!" Sage blasted Katherine with full force, but she quickly covered herself in water before the blast flung her back into the room.
Sage coughed and rose to her feet. "It is time to put the spells I have learned to use."
She didn’t want to be made to feel weak simply because Katherine was her friend. At the time, Katherine was being controlled by Inkadon, making her a threat, and Sage was ready to break her free from that control.
Her boot echoed as she took slow, careful steps into the room.
Katherine, who was on the ground, narrowed her eyes and screamed. "Sage, please help me!" Before standing up and reaching out her hands to Sage.
Swirls of water flowed from her palms, and she gripped them tightly, intent on killing Sage right then and there.
She slashed the whip directly at Sage, who dodged the attack, and the whip landed hard on the ground, causing a large crack.
Was Katherine going to kill her?
Sage vowed to destroy Inkadon for manipulating Katherine.
Katherine was dying of blood loss because blood was pouring out of her like a river and if it didn’t stop, she would die.
As soon as Katherine directed the water whip at her, Sage sighed deeply, her eyes turned fiery red, and her entire body was engulfed in fire.
Katherine was still inside, indicating that it wasn’t possession. Something was wrong, and it was obvious.
Sage screamed and dashed up to Katherine, catching her off guard.
"Sorry," Sage squeaked, slapping Katherine’s forehead hard, and a strong fiery glow blasted into her head, causing her to scream in pain.
Sage swallowed hard, closing her eyes shut, and didn’t stop as Katherine tried to yank her arm off her brow.
Sage shrugged her shoulders in discomfort as the glow brightened and Katherine’s scream of pain became louder.
Katherine’s grip on Sage’s arm loosened as she felt weak, and she became completely immobile, her eyes widening.
Sage slowly opened her eyes, removed her hand from Katherine’s forehead, and took a step back, hoping that she was okay and back to normal.
There was complete silence. The silence made her heart tighten with fear because she didn’t want to lose Katherine or, worse, kill Katherine with her own hands.
The blood that was pouring out of her nose and ears suddenly stopped.
Sage’s eyes widened and her mouth curled into a smile. "Katherine!" she exclaimed in hushed tones.
When Katherine blinked, her brown eyes began to swirl with a sky blue glow, which shocked Sage.
"What the..." Sage paused with a gasp as the glow faded, but her eyes had changed completely.
"Sage?" Katherine inquired, her brow furrowed.
Sage directed her attention to her. "Look at your eyes!" She exclaimed, her eyes widening with confusion.
Katherine’s eyes had changed completely, appearing to be made of sky blue transparent glass.
They were stunning and glistened in complete bewilderment.
Katherine, who was visibly perplexed, was about to speak when she became dizzy and collapsed on the ground.
"Katherine!" Sage yelled in fear and dashed over to Katherine.
She carried her to the bed, pushed her hair away from her face. Her clothes were soaked in blood, as was nearly all of her face.
"Oh no! She has lost a significant amount of blood." Sage sniffed and muttered in fear.
She stood up and turned to see Mirabella standing at the door, staring at the bloody trail on the ground and the large crack.
"I do not have time to argue with you." Sage frowned slightly as she spoke.
"But, you are speaking to me, which will undoubtedly lead to an argument." Mirabella shook her head and smiled.
Sage sighed and returned her gaze to her unconscious friend, then to Mirabella.
.
Ava and Amelia were cleaning the room, the floor was already spotless, while Sage and Mirabella sat next to Katherine, who was already clean and dressed.
Sage looked at her worriedly, her glowing fingers trailing on her brow, while Mirabella looked at the water mage with interest.
"Controlled by an elder mage, but you severed the link?" Mirabella asked, surprised.
"I am fairly certain it is hypnosis." Sage muttered and twitched her lips. "It is hypnosis."
"This is nothing but madness," Mirabella muttered.
"It is." Sage pretended to smile. "Katherine appeared so confused that she didn’t realize she was completely soaked in her own blood."
Mirabella exclaimed and turned to face Sage. "Do you think..."
"I think so, and I will blame myself." Sage interjected with a deep sigh.
"What? why would you?" Mirabella inquired, perplexed.
"I.."
Katherine abruptly opened her glass sky blue eyes, which were still glimmering in confusion, and cut Sage.
"Where am I, Sage?" She unexpectedly inquired.
Sage stood up and took a few steps away from the bed, while Mirabella sat down, groaning and rubbing her brow.
When she saw Mirabella, she immediately came to a halt and asked, "Who on earth are you?"
Mirabella nodded slowly and rose from her bed to stand beside Sage.
Katherine looked around the room, her eyes widening in fear. "What am I doing here? This is not Fireria’s castle!" She screamed and then looked at Sage. "Sage!" She screamed, jumped off the bed, and grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Do not let him find me! I have to save Credia from Esteban! You have to accompany me! Our home is in extreme danger, mother.. your father.. everyone in danger! Sage come with me!" Katherine screamed in fear, and Sage looked at her in disbelief.
"What are you talking about?" Sage inquired, perplexed.
Could it be...
"Esteban was talking about attacking Credia when I overheard him! We must save our home from those heartless dragons before they take everything and everyone away from us! Do not let mas.. prince River find me!" Katherine continued to scream.
