Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 134: Fire mage must die
At that moment, Ashton and Victor arrived, also looking ready for battle, and Cyrus’s lips twitched as his eyes turned into their silver reptile-like form, narrowing at the army below and appearing to be waiting for someone.
He sighed, his fingers caressing the hard roof, and chuckled when he saw Ashton raise his head and look in his direction, mouthing, "I will have my eyes on you, Cyrus Dragos," before looking away.
"It is absurd, you can not stop." Cyrus hissed and stood on the roof with ease.
His hands were clenched, his knuckles whiter than they should have been.
"Where have you gone?" He asked slowly, and then there was a loud roar.
Cyrus scoffed and turned to see a massive black dragon with sharp golden reptile-like eyes flying towards him.
Cyrus put his hands in his pockets as the dragon came to a halt in front of him. "Do you want me to fly with you or climb on?" He inquired, but River continued to stare at him with hostility.
The army below was all focused on Cyrus and River, who were staring at each other.
"I am not being paranoid." Cyrus scoffed, and River turned, allowing Cyrus to jump onto his back.
River took off into the clouds, and everyone below began transforming and lifting off in the direction of Cyrus and River.
Ashton and Arthur remained on the ground, and Arthur immediately transformed, signaling Ashton to climb onto his back.
"I am looking for Stefan." Ashton gave the dragon a friendly smile.
Stefan arrived at the location, unsheathing his sword. "Am I running late?" He enquired of the demon and the dragon.
"Yes." Ashton scoffed and jumped onto the back of the dragon.
Stefan stared for a moment before attempting to transform, but Ashton threw a small rock at him.
"Arugh?!" Even though there was no sign of blood, Stefan exclaimed in pain.
He rubbed his chin and looked at the gleeful demon. "You are going to kill me!" He yelled.
"Trust me when I say I will make you scream if you give me permission." Ashton stated this solemnly.
Stefan was stunned by the demon’s unexpected words, and Arthur groaned in disbelief.
Ashton burst out laughing. "Climb on," he said to Stefan, who slowly nodded and jumped onto the dragon’s back.
Arthur immediately took off and vanished into the clouds.
...
The cloud quickly became completely dark, and the full moon could be seen reflecting through the dark clouds.
Sage’s unconscious body reflected some moonlight into the room.
Her eyes fluttered open, and she swallowed as the events leading up to Cyrus knocking her out flashed through her mind.
Cyrus was acting strangely, which concerned her.
Her gaze was drawn to the fireplace, and she smiled faintly, noticing that Cyrus had taken care of her after he had made her pass out.
She couldn’t help but be concerned and wanted to find him right away to prevent him from leaving without her.
It was late at night, which meant she had been unconscious for nearly a full day.
"Oh my," She sighed and rubbed her brow.
She sat herself down, looking at the side of the bed to see the nine-tailed fox, who was now black and asleep, and rubbed her tired eyes.
"Where is he? Has he already left for the battle?" She jumped out of bed and dressed in a thick yet comfortable dark green gown appropriate for the weather.
She inhaled deeply and proceeded to the door, which suddenly opened, causing her to jolt and throw the coat to the bed.
Mirabella was there, and despite her fake smile, she appeared tense.
"Where has Cyrus gone?" Sage immediately inquired.
"I know you are aware." Mirabella scoffs and shakes her head in disbelief.
"I have to join him; this is my fight, not his, and if you’re here to stop me, you’re making a huge mistake." Sage grumbled angrily.
"How powerful are the statkus mages?" Mirabella burst out laughing, clearly nervous.
Sage’s brow furrowed. "I can not say exactly, but they are strong." She spoke slowly.
"I will not stop you; I will accompany you." Mirabella said unexpectedly, and Sage nodded.
"Very well." She agreed, and they both exited the room.
The door softly closed behind them, and the eyes of the nine-tailed fox opened. The fox was completely black, but his blue slit eyes remained.
Snowflake got out of bed, jumped off, and walked all the way to the balcony.
Sage was hurrying down the hallway when she remembered Katherine and stopped. "Wait! Katherine must accompany us. She is a powerful water mage." She couldn’t help but sigh after saying that.
She’d always hung out with Katherine and Darren. Her water mage friends were always teased for having a fire mage as a friend.
It was still unbelievable to her that Darren was half Statkus mage and half water mage.
Sage turned in the opposite direction, aiming for Katherine’s room, and Mirabella, eager to join the fight, chased her down and grabbed her arm.
"There is no reason, come on!"
Sage yanked her arm back. "There is a need, and you can go without me if you do not want to come with me." She said this without caring to hide her dislike for Mirabella.
"Very well," Mirabella said, awkwardly clearing her throat, shrugging her shoulders, and turning away. "I am not hoping for your death, and you shouldn’t be hoping for mine." She added in hushed tones. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"You are never in my thoughts, Mirabella Soldan," Sage growled, walking away, leaving Mirabella speechless and undeniably hurt.
Sage quickly approached the door and grasped the handle. "Katherine!" She called out before bending and pushing.
"Sage?!" She opened the door after hearing Katherine’s panicked call and seeing Katherine covered in blood and staring at her insanity.
Sage was in complete shock as she watched blood pour out from Katherine’s nose holes and ears. "Katherine!"
Katherine blasted a full force of water at her, and she was flung out of the room and felt her back hit the wall.
As she landed on her buttocks, groaning in pain, she looked up to see Katherine walking towards her life as a zombie and extended her hand towards her face.
"Fire mage, you must die; your fire core is mine!" Sage was certain that she could hear two voices when Katherine screamed.
Katherine’s and another... "Inkadon?!" Sage let out a stunned gasp.
