Chapter 93: Ezekiel’s painful action

Phoebe was sweating profusely, what was the use of his drama now, he was dropped on the floor unconscious, Phoebe’s eyes were red out of tears, and she felt shaken as she reached out for her phone, she called an ambulance.

"Please, please there’s an emergency, he’s he’s bleeding," she quivered trying her best to give the necessary information.

She held unto Ezekiel with shaken hands.

"Ezekiel, please," she trembled as she held his hand looking around for a piece of cloth she could use to cover the wounded area.

She called for her secretary who came into the room surprised to see her Madame on the ground with the man she recently allowed into her office.

"Ma’am," she was about to speak but she was interrupted by Phoebe’s quick tone.

"C’mon, come help me," she begged as the woman came in to carry Ezekiel, she knew it was just going to be a few minutes before the ambulance arrived so the best option was to take him to the front of the building before the ambulance arrives, but then she had to reconsider the thought thinking about the crowd, there might be some people who were thirsty for information to twist and make an income out of it.

If she got to take Ezekiel outside, it would only twist things for her, and she didn’t want that.

"C’mon help me, I’ll take him to my car."

"But ma’am, what about the media outlet."

"I know what I’m going to do, there’s nothing to panic about it," she stated even if she was the one who was worried because of the situation.

After all, she had to place that confidence and later when she saw the ambulance she was going to drop Ezekiel in the ambulance.

Making sure that the injury around his wrist was properly wrapped around his wrist, her secretary helped her to carry Ezekiel on one arm and then she used the other arm to carry him.

Getting into the elevator, Phoebe pressed the underground layer button, she waited minutes looking at Ezekiel’s unconscious body.

She couldn’t help but blame herself for wanting to come back to Ezekiel, why couldn’t she just tell him that he was someone she didn’t want and she didn’t want to accept him?

She couldn’t help but blame herself but then she comforted herself thinking the situation would have gotten worse if she had sent him away after all he did it because he wanted her to answer his question about his obsessed love.

She looked at Ezekiel once more anticipating the door of the elevators to open and once she saw the doors were opened, she once again rebooted her lost strength to carry him.

She placed him gently behind her car, her driver couldn’t come since she came alone so without any other option she knew she had to take the car.

She reached for her phone calling the ambulance to wait for her and pick him up at a pickup site which she was assured would be far from where the crowd was.

Her sight on the cloth she used to wrap around his wrist made her recognize the cloth was soaked, her panic rushed in as she turned to her secretary.

"Do you have any clothing I could use to tie around his wrist?"

"Ma’am, this is what I have," she presented a handkerchief and without any option, she removed the soaked cloth and then wrapped the handkerchief around his wrist.

She got behind the wheels of the car as her secretary sat on the passenger seat.

Placing her foot on the accelerator of the car, she pressed the pedal and then in a quick movement she was out of place.

She stopped in front of the informed area as the ambulance came in they transferred Ezekiel to the other car.

Phoebe protested within herself in thought if she would go along with the ambulance or just stay away from him. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

This was her chance to send him away once and for all and if she could, she could use the cops to get him arrested for his obsessed manner.

As much as she wanted to deny the matter, she felt Zayn was right.

Who was better?

She knew Zayn was much more better even if she wanted to deny the fact.

She felt comfortable with Zayn and she felt a whole new person with Zayn but when it came to Ezekiel, he wasn’t bad but his obsessed addiction towards her scared her so much.

What was his cause for this?

He was only trying to get her but then she was scared that he might be insane enough to get her family injured or risk the life of her family, as much as she felt she should tell Enim about what had happened despite the circumstances they were facing, she felt it was best if she told Enim after all this problems were away, at least then she would be able to get rid of him properly.

Phoebe entered the ambulance as her secretary took her car back to the building, she called her mother on the way telling her about what was happening.

From her mother’s tone on the other side of the line, she knew her mother was so worried.

Phoebe had no other choice but to lie about the matter, after all the lie wasn’t based on a full lie, it was just a white lie so her mother wouldn’t cause the situation a huge problem if she told her mother about why Ezekiel was with her in the first place and the reason for his actions she couldn’t imagine herself doing it so she had no other choice but to tell her mother he had an injury when he came into her office.

It was best to tell her like that, but even with the white lie, her mother had a worried tone.

Laurence hurriedly came out of the building of the house into her car assisted by her driver who took the wheels and then she was already on her way to the hospital listening to Phoebe’s worried voice.

"Mum, I feel so scared at the moment, I don’t know why but somehow I feel scared that I don’t want him to die, maybe if I had seen what was going to happen earlier then I could have stopped him from getting injured," Phoebe stated as she stood in front of the glass door which revealed Ezekiel who was being operated on.

"Phoebe, all I need for you is to be relaxed, just calm down, it wasn’t your fault after all, I want you to think calmly, don’t be in a rush to make decisions, everything is going to be alright, okay?" Her mother eased Phoebe as she did as her mother had implied, taking a deep breath, she became uneasy after a while placing her nails in her teeth as she ate it worriedly, she was panicking and with the thoughts everything could go down the drain if he dies.

She just wanted him to come back alive without a scratch or something that could make his situation hectic.

She waited for minutes as she kept an eye on the bulb light outside the theatre which indicated if the patient’s operation was completed or not.

As she watched the bulb hoping for the bulb light to change its color, she felt a touch on her shoulder which made her startle in fear.

Turning around to see who it was she was shaken for a bit but when she saw who it was she embraced the person wholeheartedly.

"I feel so scared," she stated in fear as she was pattered on the back.

"Mother, I don’t want this to happen again, I feel so scared, why is it happening to me? I don’t want to lose anyone again, I can’t bear the burden anymore, Mother," she whimpered in tears as her mother gently caressed her back, kissing her on her forehead she cleansed the tears which were on her cheeks.

"Shh, dear, don’t worry he’s going to be alright, trust me, just close your eyes for a bit and you’ll see, everything is going to be fine, okay?"

She nodded as she gulped her saliva trying her best to place a smile on.

She was taken to her VIP private waiting room waiting for the bulb light which was placed in the room to change its color but then she fell asleep while waiting for the change of color.

Phoebe placed her head on her mother’s shoulder as her mother used her hand to caress her forehead, she knew she must have felt a bit worried and had a headache but it was going to be fine since she was going to be alright once she woke up.

After hours, the bulb finally had a change of color.

Laurence had no idea how she was going to wake the serene Phoebe but before she could even make an action, Phoebe’s eyes opened as a nurse came into the room.

"Ma’am, the patient is okay now," Phoebe’s eyes unfurled like she was given news of happiness

Even if it felt a bit like a dispatch of bliss, she also felt a bit disturbed by the situation.

"Okay, can I come to see the patient?" Phoebe questioned and then she was led by the nurse who directed her to Ezekiel’s room.

Ezekiel lay on the ward bed, with closed eyes, as she opened the door of the room, his eyes opened in a jiffy turning his head towards her, she couldn’t help but gulp her saliva feeling a bit uneasy.
