Chapter 51: Vixen’s actions

Candles were lit in the house having petals of flowers fluttered around the house to project a romantic mood in the house.

When Phoebe questioned Enim on how she was going to question Vixen she had no idea but she could remember how she got Vixen to come for her at night.

So it was the only option she had to use and came to her mind.

Besides, what was she going to do other than that?

All she hoped for was that her plan was only going to be a success and she was going to gain what she wanted from Vixen.

She could hear the screeching sound of the tires on Vixen’s driver’s arrival at the entrance of the house.

The door of Vixen’s seat was opened and then the aura of Vixen’s footstep was felt.

Behind him was his bodyguard and an extra bodyguard who joined him in the house.

Enim also wanted to create a mood for what she had planned wearing just her lingerie pieces and using a robe to cover herself in the meanwhile.

"He’s around, everybody out," Enim commanded as the helpers and those around excused the space leaving Enim the only one in the dim light.

She casually walked to a couch taking her phone pretending to be all bored as she lay her legs on the hand of the chair scrolling through her phone.

Just her long shiny legs showing.

The doors of the house opened as Vixen entered the house making Enim shift her her head to take a look at who had entered.

Vixen walked into the house with a commanding aura as his foot settled goosebumps on those around except Enim.

His eyes told the story of what he was keeping within him, a burning fire that needed to know who his woman was.

Her alluring yet strange actions made him think to himself again, who she was.

With a seductive poker face he walked towards the house as Enim stood up locking her eyes into his gaze she could sense he had a question to say but she needed to get her question first.

She needed answers as well.

"Vixen, oh my why did you come so late?"

"Starting from now you’ll be having a bodyguard around you twenty-four seven."

"Vixen—"

"You’ll not be arguing with me Enim, whatever I say then you have to go with it."

"I wasn’t thinking of arguing with you, I just wanted to ask you why you were out so early and then you came back so late?"

She didn’t just want to ask him about that, she wanted to ask him why he came back just for her to perceive the cigarette smoke of the piece he took.

She just couldn’t understand Vixen that much any longer.

"Why? Is not like we’re married."

"Vixen, no one is pushing it to the concept of marriage, is just a matter of questions, I also have measures of taking my step, if I want to then I also could leave as early as I want and then come back so late in the night. I’m just asking the reason why you were out before I could see you, I was so worried about you."

Vixen heaved a deep breath in distress, Enim did state the words in concern, he couldn’t just take out his anger on her just because she was worried about him.

Besides, there might be some intentions which may have other reason that explains why she did it.

He couldn’t just take an argument on her just because of what the silver-masked woman had said.

But even with the fact he knew she had other intentions, he still couldn’t help but be suspicious about her.

He couldn’t just forget about the recording where she tried inquiring about what had happened.

Vixen killing Prudence.

"You’re going to answer my question and I want it sincerely, Enim. What was your relationship with the Lane Marvel family?"

Just with the question Enim already knew Vixen was suspicious of her, it was certain that he had inquired about a piece of information that had to do with her and Phoebe and it might be crucial.

Thankfully she knew about all these things and so, she opened her mouth to state her reason.

"I know both you and Prudence were so close to each other but trust me when I say that’s all I know. I feel guilty thinking I may be the cause of the separation between you and her. I feel like I may be the reason why all this happened."

Vixen heaved a deep breath in frustration pinching the skin between his eyebrows, he couldn’t believe Enim’s decency made her think she was the cause of what had happened.

"Enim listen to me, you were not involved in any of these and I’m telling you, just don’t meet with them, meeting them would only cause you trouble."

"But I was only trying to be nice to them and make a friendship bond."

"There’s no need to make friends with them."

If that was enough to convince Vixen then she was wrong but she convinced him a little.

He was still suspicious about Enim since she spoke just more than what she was saying in the recorder.

"So are we clear about this, Vixen? There’s nothing except trying to be close to them just to create friendship."

"Okay," he said with a poker face as he nodded.

"So I was making a juice, fruit juice for me to take as a refreshing drink this afternoon when I came back from the shopping mall and I thought when don’t I reserve a drink for you also? And you know me, I did so," she walked towards the counter of the bar longue bringing out a ready-made bottle of wine that could be washable. Bringing it from the freezer by one of the maids, she walked towards him with two glasses of wine cup.

Filled with apple, pineapple, and orange extracted juice in the bottle.

"So you must drink it, as a bonus for being late outside," she said with a smile approaching him.

"Do I have to take from it?"

"You have to Vixen, consider this as a sweet punishment and I’m going to do a cocktail with this drink."

"Can we take it together?"

Enim had a delighted smile on her face.

"Do you think I was going to make you drink all of this, Mr. Hubby?" She questioned with a mischievous smile pouring it into the glass cups and then she handed one of the cups to him.

As she took one also.

Taking a sip from the drink, a bright smile shone on her lips with a little dimple on her cheeks.

"Hmm, it tastes good," Enim complimented taking another cup as Vixen gulped his own.

"Isn’t it okay?" Vixen encircled his thumb and second finger as a gesture of saying it was good.

"You see, it’s refreshing, you know what I’m going to do, I think we should be having this as a refreshing drink, right?" Enim questioned with a chuckle but then her words made Vixen suspicious of her words.

What was the drink about?

He didn’t want to say a thing yet since he didn’t want Enim to be suspicious of him likewise but Enim had gotten the information in his strange reaction because he wasn’t that seductive towards her.

He was aware of something and she needed to find out about it.

"Vixen are suspicious of anything?"

Vixen shook his head but after he began to feel a bit dizzy the echo of her voice began to resound in his ear as he mistook his step about to fall when Enim held onto him and then she pulled him closer to her.

"Are you alright?" She questioned with a concerned voice as Vixen once again shook his head.

"Is nothing, is just that I can’t -"

He couldn’t see clearly, his eyes became dull but he wasn’t ready to say it.

"Vixen are you sure you’re okay?" Enim walked towards him feeling a bit disturbed by his attitude but Vixen shook his head with a smile.

"There’s nothing wrong with me, I thought my eyes were dull for a moment but it must be because of stress, that’s why," he calmly stated heading for a seat.

Vixen went to take a seat and so, since Enim heard him say he was alright she took this opportunity to question him about the woman.

"Vixen?"

"Hmmm," he raised his head to see Enim had loosely removed the robe on her just for him to take a view.

His eyes were dizzy but Enim’s face was right in front of him, she bent her upper body a little so he could set his eyes on her exposed body tracing the jawline of Vixen seductively.

"Vixen, I’d like to ask you a question."

"What question do you want to ask?" He questioned with a cunning smile.

"The silver-masked woman, could you tell me who the woman is?"

Vixen stared into her eyes for a while like he was trying to recognize if she was actually asking or not, with a poker look that sent chills and then he drunkenly chuckled.

"The woman, she, she, she is-"

"Okay," Enim started waiting for him to complete his sentence as he paused, and then his gaze into her eyes became a boring piece like a took for piercing a wood and yet it created a mixture of danger and coldness.

Raising one of his hands it ended up on her neck, strangling her neck Enim tried her best to get his hand off her but then he was strong enough that she began to cough.

"Vixen," she whimpered in a soft cry as he wouldn’t let go of her neck she was feeling she was on the edge of dying if he didn’t let go.
