Chapter 38: Spellbound

Phoebe drove back to the house when her mind debated once again if she was going to meet Zayn or just let him be.

Her thoughts were arguing inwardly just to make a decision and now, she felt devastated, why did she want to give him a piece of her mind?

The kid was venting her that was all, and as someone who was so mature, there was no use in confronting him but then, her heart lied big time as she found herself out of the car and like she was placed in a spell or kind of trance, she walked in direction of Zayn’s house.

As she stood in front of his gate, she hesitated inwardly if she was going to ring the bell or not, as she was about to reach for the doorbell, this time she got hold of herself and was able to stop what she was doing finally taking control she turned around to leave but then she heard a feminine voice of mixed with a chuckle coming from inside the house.

She turned around to see that there was one of the windows which was opened, he must have forgotten to get it closed so he could display his naughty act as he tried to flirt with a woman.

It seems veins popped in Phoebe’s body but what could she do?

The boy had his own life to live besides he was good at flirting with women, she couldn’t get distracted by him.

Phoebe walked straight ahead to look for something suitable, she texted Mia but she couldn’t attend since she had something important to do.

She moved away from where she was heading somewhere else.

Phoebe took a big sigh in satisfaction as she eyes wondered around, she couldn’t believe she’d forgotten her phone and the only thing she could use to buy was her credit card.

Taking a chocolate smoothie with lime and cream on top, she was satisfied, bored because was just sitting, she subconsciously looked around for a while and then she decided to leave.

Just as she was about to move out from the café she ended up at, someone sat in front of her seat unconcerned about her reaction and then ordered two coffee for both of them.

Phoebe looked at him in disgust wondering what he was doing in front of her seat.

"Is your hangover over? It seems you drank too much last night," Phoebe stood up about to leave but then when he spoke it gave her no chance but to sit.

"I saw you passed by my house a while ago, I didn’t think you wouldn’t try to come to my house and see me," Phoebe sat on her seat to vent her anger on him.

"Who told you I was coming to your house to see you? I came to your house so I could know if the proposal was done well."

"Well, I don’t think it would be about that."

"What?"

"Okay if you say so then where is your laptop?"

"I just came to talk about it orally and not logically," Zayn smirked, and then their coffee which he ordered was placed on the table.

"You don’t seem to be professional, are you?"

"Says the boy who kissed me last night without my permission."

"Wait, wait, please don’t get me wrong," he sat up on his chair.

"Before I kissed you, I asked if you wanted water or not."

"What are you saying? I don’t remember saying it and why would I-" She stopped as a clip of memory appeared, how Zayn told her about the remaining water was left and how she accepted his condition.

"Hey, why did you stop? You’ve remembered?" Phoebe who pursed her lips for a moment shut her lips as she gulped her saliva and then she stood up to leave.

"I’m going."

"You can’t leave, you haven’t even taken your coffee."

"I don’t need it."

Phoebe left the café as Zayn ran after her with the cup of coffee in his hands, he ran ahead of her to stop her.

"Why are you leaving?"

"What do you mean?"

"Listen, I bought two coffees for both you and I."

"Did I request you to buy it?"

"But that’s not the case, I had to buy two coffees because I needed someone extra."

"What?"

Zayn looked at her for a while as he brought his eyebrows together thinking of how he was going to tell her without making her annoyed.

"Hmmm, I bought tickets for an arcade, but the thing is that is two tickets."

"Then look for someone to go with," Phoebe nonchalantly said as she moved forward but Zayn headed in front of her to explain.

"I couldn’t find someone to go with, and besides, you sat at the café, so I thought you’ll be great to go with."

"Seriously?"

He nodded.

If he was going to lie about not finding someone then how could she confront him?

If she tells him about seeing him with that girl in his house then it’s going to sound like she was stalling him.

"I’m leaving," she declared but then he obstructed her.

"I bought coffee also for you, I want you to follow me," he stated with passion in his eyes as he was determined to bring her to the arcade.

"Fine, I’ll go."

"Oh my, thank you so much, I didn’t think you’ll be easily convinced but I-"

He stopped seeing her eyes which gave an expression asking if any of what he was stating was her business so he decided to keep shut and let go of what he wanted to say.

"Let’s go," she softly stated and then he handed her her coffee, he held her spare hand and then took her to his car.

The boy was living in luxury despite being alone, it seemed his parents were willing to embowed him with wealth so he wouldn’t feel lonely.

Phoebe gently placed her head on the head of the chair as she closed her eyes.

Without a word said, she slept and Zayn couldn’t help but notice her glowing face as the driver drove, her face was full of serene beauty.

Zayn stared still unsatisfied as he watched her facial movement.

As Phoebe opened her eyes, she figured out Zayn was staring at her.

"Why are you staring at me?" She questioned as Zayn couldn’t say a word though he could feel Phoebe was feeling irritated so he spoke.

"We’re at the arcade," he calmly stated as Phoebe turned to the window to see he was saying the truth.

She fluttered her eyes unable to say a word but then she got down from the car.
