" Are you considering on taking him soon enough?"

He said after there was a pause for a while.

"I don’t know but then, that’s the only think that I could i think about. My father needs adequate care and as of this moment, my father would only be able to receive the treatment that he needs when the money for his treatment is at my budget."

"So taking him to the country side was your best option."

"That’s the only think I could think of," there was once again, a shot of a bullet golf ball of silent int he atmosphere.

Vixen his sight directed at something unusual like he was in thoughts for a while.

" So you want to see your father? " he said and then he directed his gaze to her as she simply nodded.

" What about Arthur? " in a calm tone, for some reasons Abi felt like his gaze at her was trying to eat her whole if she gave him an answer that was contrary to what he’s expecting.

" Actually, Vixen, if is about Arthur—"

"Don’t worry, I get it, if you really want to see your father then you can get to see him."

"Can it be this week?" He gave her a straight look and just in an answer,, he nodded.

"I wouldn’t oppose to that," the corner of Abi raised a bit in excitement, she was so happy for sure she felt like giving Vixen a tight hug.

All of a sudden, he cares to listen to what she wants to say, probably she could say that this was the first time they had a normal discussion without a disagreement of an argument.

"Thank you, Vixen," she said in a soft tone as her smile extended.

"Common, lay on the bed, you have to sleep now."

He said in a doting attitude as he held the edges of the bed while Abi laid on the bed, just when her back on the surface of the bed, he placed the sheet on her.

"Vixen, what are you going to do? Is going to take you a while to get home, right?"

"I had to rush over here and I’m sure that I must have passed the regular speed for a car on the road."

He said in a jested as Abi chuckled.

" I’ll have to pay the fine later. "

" I’m so sorry, because of me you have to face that. "

" Is the consequences of what I’ve done but if you come to think of it, I think getting a ticket and paying the fine for passing the highway limit, I just have to go along with that, " he said with a gentle smile but inwardly, he knew that all matters that has to do with that was not going to be a problem for him since all that was going to be done before he was out of the hospital.

" So how are you going to sleep? "

" You seem to worry about me, you know what, you took your medicine and you need energy for tomorrow, you’ll probably have to carry your little baby boy, so I think is best that you sleep so you would be able to get that big one into your arms. "

" Arthur isn’t big, he’s just little and cute, " she said with a pouted lip and this time Vixen scrowled in amazement.

" Okay then, you just have to get to sleep now. "

" Okay, good night, Vixen. "

" Good night, " he stated in a whisper, before any second further, it didn’t take Abi any thing for her to get her eyes shut.

Vixen stayed on his feet watching her sleep peacefully, his mind clouded with so many things.

He gave Abi the permission to go but then the truth was that he actually didn’t want her to go.

He actually wanted to admit to himself that he felt like he didn’t want her to go all because of Arthur but then another thought reminded him of the fact that it wasn’t about Arthur this time.

He denied it within.

There was nothing that he felt for Abi, maybe because she looked a lot like Prudence but then there was nothing different about this.

She was just like the other women, the same way treats other women was the same way he approaching towards her but then his mind couldn’t help but slap him like he was some fool who was deceiving himself that he had enough period to eat his cake and have itt again whole.

Who the hell was he trying to convince?

His mind told him that he was falling in love with the woman that was sleeping peacefully on the bed but then his other thoughts reminded him that there was actually no way he was going to fall for her.

All he had was a concerned and that was all.

But then, his thought was thinking to play tricks with him so his heart could win the battle about his mind.

He was happy reminding the time Abi had embraced him because they had won the game.

True, the game was just a silly one but then he felt attached to her because she had actually done something that made him smile and feel like his family was actually, complete.

Arthur.

Abi

No, no, he shook his head, there was no way he was going to think of that.

Abi deserved someone that was better and incomparable to him, she was young and from the looks of it, she was going to do well without him.

Essentially well without him around.

Maybe because of her kindness towards Arthur attracted him to her but then, he gazed at her serene face.

He held his breath, just that peaceful look of her was like his world stopped all of a sudden and his breath, was all risked to even pass through its supposed passage. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

She was in no comparison to him, she wasn’t accountable to be with him.

How the hell was she going to trust someone who’s not willing to trust her.

Someone who’s heart was broken because of a letter from his wife just at the time of her death.

Anything could have happened and he knew that, he was unable to retrieve the footage of what had actually happened before she died but then from what the people around had witnessed.

She didn’t give a glimpse of committing suicide, so why must he hate her for something that he knew nothing about, the matter could be that he read the letter but has he ever thought of waiting for the footage of the camera, at least then he could know the reason why she decided to kill herself.

And as for the matter, he tried his best to sustain it within his heart that Enim must have not done it.

For some reason, he was unable to accept the fact that she would actually kill herself but then, another thought made him so hardened by the fact that Enim left him.

And the letter.

The letter may have said something but then, his heart was trying to tell him another.

He stared at Abi like a movie he couldn’t take his time off, the clock on the wall shifted it’s hand clockwise as hours passed by.

Before a moment could be counted, the time of the hour clock had passed by and when Vixen could be set view, he had his head laid on Abi’s shoulder his eyes closed as the two slept peacefully.

The two eyes of Abi dazzled to the sudden lightness in the room, she stirred a bit a frown occured on her face, raising her hand high, she used it to shield herself from the ray of light that had penetrated from the window reflecting on her.

She stiffed a bit and just as she opened her eyes turning to the side to see her environment, she was surprised by the fact that Vixen was on her lap.

She frowned as she slowly sat up trying her best not to disturb him from his sleep.

She slowly sat up watching him sleep comfortably on her laps, for some reasons, she wondered why she thought he was cute and handsome at the same time.

She stretched out her hand to him gently lingering her finger tip on the surface of his skin so she could remove the hair if his that laid on his face.

Just as she continued to do so, Vixen stirred a bit and then she immediately retracted her hand so he wouldn’t be able to wake up.

He gently blinked his eyes affected by the sight of the ray of light just like her, his face twitched but then as Abi watched him, he looked damn handsome.

He yawned stretching his arms out, she giggled watching his gentle movement.

"Vixen—" she called out to him in a soft hoarse tone as he immediately shifted his head to him.

"Good morning," she said with a smile on.
