Laurence frowned at the sight of Enim’s call, why was she calling her again? Feeling irritated by her call, she answered the call anyways.

"I thought we were done with what ever you want, haven’t you proved what you want?"

"Oh, I thought that I should tell you something that has to do with your daughter but don’t worry, I’m going to end the call now."

"What? Wait, what do you want to tell me?"

"Phoebe, do you know what your darling so-called daughter’s fiancee was planning to do? I know that you have the best technology in doing things, why couldn’t you check on him?"

" Wait, what are you saying? "

" Your daughter, Phoebe is with me, soon enough I’m sure you’ll be getting a message soon but you should be grateful to me because I helped you out here? "

" What are you saying? You speak in riddles. "

" Phoebe was kidnapped and eventually the planner of the kidnap operation was the person you sent your daughter to, you’re indirectly endangering the life of your daughter, you should be grateful I’m around."

" You said Phoebe is with you, then give her the phone I want to see her."

" Hmm, Ma’am, when a person is kidnapped and is to be taken for ransom, so you expect the person to be conscious? She’s asleep at the moment."

" Oh really? "

" You still have time to get her, I’m at the venue with my men, I don’t have much time, just come and pick her, okay? "

" But-" Laurence had a frown on her face realizing the girl had ended the call.

Laurence couldn’t believe this girl, why was she behaving just like Prudence does? They were so alike in ways and her tone.

She didn’t want to believe that it could be Prudence.

She immediately stood up from her bed mindless that she was dressed in a night gown, heading toward her walk-in closet she took a long jacket and then she pulled the drawer to take her car keys, she got out of the house without the driver driving to the place.

Enim heaved a deep breath as she began to scroll through her phone looking through a social media app as she twitched her face.

Her eyebrows arched as she thought of something, since the time she had Britney with her, she hadn’t bothered about checking on Mia.

Besides, how was her social media life?

She was so lucky that Vixen asked her to stay away from her and let him handle her because she would have given her the worst treatment, she wouldn’t even be able to create pictures or even do reels for all her social media posts.

Her eyes gazed at the pictures of her profile page with uncertainty staring at her smiley faces, if only everyone got to knew the truth behind those smiley faces.

A devil clothed in the form of a naive woman.

Just as she was scrolling through the pages she found something unusual but quite surprising.

She hadn’t been on social media for days now and what she was discovering was something which she didn’t expect, it wasn’t from Mia’s page but then the video popped up because it was related to Mia.

Mia and a strange guy, she furrowed her eyebrows trying to recall where she’d seen the guy before for a while and then she realized it, wasn’t he the same guy who was doing the autopsy of her.

Of Prudence actually.

She scrolled through the pictures taken and her mind wondered about what kind of tricks she was up to.

Mia was a cunning girl and getting the guy with her, could they be planning for something once again?

Ahhh, she couldn’t believe how many tiny devil’s she had to deal with and the more they came the more they made her stressed, she felt she was on the verge of losing it with them even if it was fun playing with them.

She heaved a deep breath, she was waiting for two people, first it was Vixen and the other was Laurence.

She knew she couldn’t be seen outside so for the meanwhile she was in the car scrolling through her phone.

She saw a bright light head towards the van and then it stopped when it reached the side of the car.

She frowned, she didn’t tell anyone what car she was in.

The person in the other car pressed the button to lower his window and then it was Vixen’s sight.

"What are you planning on?" Enim also rolled down the window knowing that he could identify the car since it was his own van.

With a smirk on her face, she chuckled a bit.

"What do you think I’m doing? Mr. Vixen?"

"Well, seeing that you’re dressed for the event and you didn’t enter the event centre even if it’s right in front of you, I think you came here to get something done."

"Okay, but can you listen, Laurence hasn’t yet arrived, can you stay just for a bit till the time Laurence arrives."

"Okay, I’ll be waiting for you ahead, how many minutes is she supposed to be around," Enim raised her hand to check the time.

"I think she would be here within the next-" she was interrupted when she saw a car drive into the parking lot.

" I’m sure she must be the one, I’ll be with you in a bit, " Enim stated as she got down the car heading towards where Laurence parked her car.

When she got there Laurence had parked and then Enim stood beside the tint window of the driver’s seat gesturing for her to lower the window.

" Where’s Phoebe? " Laurence questioned sternly when she obliged.

" She’s there, " Enim stated as her eyes turned in direction looking at her men who brought Phoebe like a fragile cup.

" What happened to her? "

" I advise you take care of her, there are many wild animals in the jungle, don’t just trust anybody without looking at the person’s information, that’s my advise to you," Enim stated and then her men gently placed her in the car.

"To be true Phoebe requested me of something, she asked I protect her from the dangerous people around her and that’s what I’m going to do, whether you don’t want to believe it I’m sure Ezekiel is not the best, someone else is better but he can be a little bit bad for her but the truth is that he’s ready to safe her, even if it means that he has to placed himself in fire just to save her, he’s ready to do it. You want prove for what I’m saying then I’m going to send everything before it’s tomorrow. Okay, bye now," Enim stated and then she walked away entering Vixen’s car.

Laurence turned to Phoebe staring at her at the backseat, what could Enim mean?

She took her phone trying to call Ezekiel but he wasn’t answering her calls, why was he declining her calls.

After a while, he finally accepted the call.

" Ezekiel, Phoebe isn’t answering her calls, could you give her the phone, I’ll like to speak with her."

" Hmmm mother that wouldn’t be possible at the moment, Phoebe is talking with some guest presently. "

" Oh, okay then, just tell her that she should answer her call when she’s done. "

" Okay, I’ll give her your message. "

" Bye, " Laurence stated and then ended the call.

She found the whole thing suspicious, why did Ezekiel lie to her? She turned around knowing she had to take Phoebe home, she took a turn moving out of the parking lot.

Enim walked into the room as Vixen followed behind, just tomorrow Britney was going to commence with her plan but before she does with hers, they also had to commence with theirs and they needed Britney to be part.

Enim walked into the room, seeing Britney’s unconscious body on the floor, Enim smirked her hands pocketed and then she turned to Vixen.

"Are we really going to make her pay, I feel kind of pity for her, she was planning on abolishing us using Ezra and now, both her and Ezra would be fighting, so a pitiful being," Enim stated out of sarcasm.

" C’mon, let’s do this quick," Enim stated and then her men walked towards her picking her from the chair so she could sit.

Her hands on the arm on the chair tied she had a tap around her mouth and then Enim poured water on her face.

Britney’s eyes fluttered dazzled by the sight of the bright light that was reflected on her.

"What, what are you guys!!" Britney yelled out of shock.
