Married For Now-Chapter 212: WORK VISIT
Chapter 212: WORK VISIT
"YOU’RE HERE, Heedo-ssi?"
Ah.
Kim Heedo immediately felt the awkwardness in the air.
Mr. Choi, his boss, was suddenly talking to him formally.
His co-workers, including Jang Yeonwoo, were obviously walking on eggshells around him.
Those blabbermouths probably spilled the beans already...
"Yes, sir. I just got here," Heedo said politely. Since he couldn’t stand the awkwardness, he decided to address the issue right away. "I don’t know what exactly you’ve heard from my former colleagues, but you can just treat me like you normally do."
"W-What do you mean by that, Heedo-ssi?" Mr. Choi asked nervously. "It’s not like we’re acting strangely. We’re just happy to see our youngest member."
Aigoo.
"And the boss is here," Mr. Choi said, clearing his throat. "He’d like to see you, Heedo-ssi."
Haaah.
"How about work, sir?" Heedo asked worriedly. "I thought I was supposed to join the team of movers this morning." ƒreewebηoveℓ.com
"Don’t worry about that," Mr. Choi said while patting Jang Yeonwoo’s shoulder. "Your sunbae here will take over your shift."
"Oh, I’ll feel bad then," Heedo said. "Can I finish my shift before meeting the boss, sir?"
He knew that he was putting Mr. Choi in a tight spot.
But he also didn’t like how Mr. Choi put his workload on Jang Yeonwoo without consulting him first.
I guess this will make us even then.
"Then let me call the boss first, Heedo-ssi," Mr. Choi said awkwardly. "Can you wait for a moment?"
Heedo nodded politely. "Yes, sir."

"SO, are you really the oldest grandson of the Ilsung Group?"
Oh.
Honestly, Kim Heedo didn’t expect Jang Yeonwoo to ask him that directly as soon as they left the company premises.
Today, only the two of them were dispatched.
After all, they were only going to the client’s apartment to check their possessions before giving them an estimate.
Hence, Heedo and Jang Yeonwoo were enough for the job.
"The idiots who beat you up almost spammed our old group chat with messages claiming that you were a chaebol," Jang Yeonwoo continued, his eyes glued to the road as he was driving the delivery truck. "Apparently, they heard from your lawyers that you are the oldest grandson of the Ilsung Group’s chairman."
I knew it.
"They were telling the truth, Sunbae-nim," Heedo said. There was no point in lying anyway. "I’m the oldest grandson of the Ilsung Group."
"Should I start talking politely to you?"
"Why would you do that, Sunbae-nim? You’re older than me, and you’re my sunbae. Please feel free to continue speaking comfortably with me."
"This is my first time meeting a real chaebol," Jang Yeonwoo said as if he were amazed. "I’ve met a lot of rich guys from my previous jobs. But you’re the first chaebol I’ve encountered. You were born with everything, huh? As expected, Alphas are definitely a different breed."
"Are you being sarcastic, Sunbae-nim?"
"No, not really. If you had a bad attitude, I would have resented you for being born with a diamond spoon. But you’re a good kid, so I’ll just think that you saved the country in your past life."
"Thank you, Sunbae-nim."
"So, why are you cosplaying as a commoner?" Jang Yeonwoo asked, pausing for a moment. "Is this some kind of immersion? Like experiencing what it’s like to live as a poor person?"
"No, it’s not like that, Sunbae-nim," Heedo said while shaking his head. "My doctor advised me to get a manual job to suppress my upcoming rut. As you know, my husband is pregnant. I can’t spend my rut with him, and I wouldn’t even dream of doing so since I don’t want to hurt him and our babies. So, I’m following my doctor’s advice diligently."
"Suppressants don’t work on you?"
"They barely work on Dominant Alphas."
"Oh, you’re a Dominant Alpha."
It wasn’t like Heedo was lying.
I’m not just telling the entire truth since I have to keep the fact that I’m a Hyper-Dominant Alpha a secret.
"Thank you for being honest with me, Heedo-ssi," Jang Yeonwoo said. "Honestly, I didn’t expect you to answer my questions. I’m curious, yes. But you have no obligation to share things with me."
"It’s alright. I trust you, Sunbae-nim," Heedo said, and then he added: "I don’t think you’d use the things I shared with you against me. But even if you did, I can just sue you. And we both know I’d win."
"Aigoo. Is that a threat?"
"I won’t hesitate to do anything and everything to protect my family."
Jang Yeonwoo chuckled. "I don’t have a reason and the means to go against a chaebol, so I’ll make sure to remain on your good side, Heedo-ssi."
"I know Sunbae-nim is a good person," Heedo said confidently. "I actually think Sunbae-nim and my husband will get along well because both of you are strong and resilient Omegas."

SOHEE hired three food trucks for Kim Heedo’s colleagues.
The first one was a food truck that served traditional box lunches.
The second one served tteokbokki, fishcake, and soup.
The third one served coffee.
Yes, I went all out.
"You said you are Kim Heedo-ssi’s husband, sir?"
Sohee smiled at Kwon Hyukjae, the owner of the moving company where Kim Heedo was currently working.
I’m glad the boss is here.
After the big boss sent his colleagues to have lunch, Kwon Hyukjae invited Sohee to his private office.
Of course, he didn’t come alone.
Shin Kang— Kim Heedo’s right-hand man— stood behind him quietly.
"First of all, I’d like to thank you for treating my employees to a nice lunch," Kwon Hyukjae, a man in his early fifties, said politely. "I actually wanted to speak with Kim Heedo-ssi, but he was dispatched this morning with his sunbae."
"I see," Sohee said while nodding, and then he smiled at the CEO. "Sir, I believe I know why you wanted to talk to my husband. It’s about your son, isn’t it?"
Kwon Hyukjae flinched, but he didn’t deny it.
To be honest, Sohee wondered all night if he should step in.
It was his husband’s business, and Kim Heedo was capable of standing up for himself.
But after we made up, I wanted to do something for my husband.
Hence, here he was now.
"Sir, we both know that your former employees who beat up my husband did that under your son’s order," Sohee said, politely but firmly. "Let’s not make a big deal out of this, so I’d like to settle this matter privately."
Kwon Hyukjae fell silent for a moment, and then he sighed before asking: "How would you like to settle this matter, Park Sohee-ssi?"
"Bring your son here, sir."
"..."
"Don’t worry, I’m not capable of hurting your son."
Kwon Hyukjae’s gaze fell on Shin Kang.
"Mr. Shin won’t get involved unless I’m in danger," Sohee said, gently patting his baby bump. "I’ll only talk to your son, sir..."
Oh.
He winced when he felt it— a strong kick in the womb.
My babies... moved?
"Young Madam, is everything alright?" Shin Kang asked, kneeling beside Sohee while looking up at him with a worried look on his face. "You look pale."
"I’m fine," Sohee assured the ahjussi. "But can you call Heedo for me?"
