Married For Now-Chapter 169: A DEBT
Chapter 169: A DEBT
"SIHYUK Hyung actually wanted me to ask you if you have any plans to visit Lee Junsu, Sohee-ya. He knew that it would be difficult to approach the Hongs directly, so he actually wanted to use you to get information about Lee Junsu."
Sohee quietly sipped his tea while listening to Lim Garam.
This is getting ridiculous.
"As I said earlier, I saw some documents in Sihyuk Hyung’s desk," Lim Garam continued with his explanation. "The records of the President’s late grandson had huge x marks on them. Then Hyung has also a copy of Jin Taejoon’s phone records. It seems like Hyung tracked down who Jin Taejoon was in contact with around the time that our baby was kidnapped. I didn’t see it clearly, but I think the name that came up a lot in Jin Taejoon’s call history was ’Sangwoo.’"
Oh.
"That’s the name of Lee Junsu’s manager," Sohee said while putting the teacup down on the table. "Well, Sangwoo is a common name, but we don’t even have a full name. But if Sihyuk-ssi is suddenly interested in Lee Junsu, then it won’t be a stretch to conclude that the Sangwoo in the records is the Sangwoo who’s also Lee Junsu’s manager."
Lim Garam paused for a moment, and then he nodded. "Sohee-ya, you know Lee Junsu more than I do. Do you know why he would possibly be involved in my baby’s kidnapping?"
"I can only think about one reason, Hyung-nim— Lee Junsu was probably interested in Sihyuk-ssi’s pheromones."
"Does he want to be an Omega?"
"He wants to be an Omega to get pregnant with Kim Heedo’s baby."
"You should get rid of him, Sohee-ya," Lim Garam said casually before sipping his tea again. "That kind of person will only stop once they’re dead."
Aigoo.
Lim Garam was usually a calm and collected person.
This violent side of Hyung-nim is kind of scaring me.
But, to be honest, Sohee shouldn’t be surprised anymore.
I mean, Garam Hyung-nim couldn’t possibly be completely sane after staying with someone like Sihyuk-ssi for years.
"Sorry, that was violent, wasn’t it?"
"It was, but you have a point, Hyung-nim," Sohee said while nodding. "I can’t kill Lee Junsu since I’m not at the point where I want him dead. But I’d like it if I never see him again. That’s why I’m hoping that the Hongs will do a good job hiding him. At least until I give birth to my baby. I don’t want him to give me more stress."
"Once my husband confirms that Lee Junsu has something to do with our baby’s kidnapping, your source of stress will be gone instantly."
Aigoo.
Yep, Garam Hyung-nim has a few loose screws, too.
Sohee was about to change the topic because Lim Garam’s violent side was scaring him a little, but then he got a call from his husband.
He excused himself before picking up the call.
"Yes, Heedo-ya?"
"Hyung, I’m in the hospital— your half-brother fainted."
Haaah.
Sohee gently rubbed his stomach when he felt a mild cramps, probably because of stress. "What happened?"
***
"GO GUNJOON-ssi manifested as an Alpha."
Oh.
Kim Heedo, for some reason, wasn’t surprised after hearing Seong Kyungmin’s diagnosis.
He went to his doctor’s private office to hear about his brother-in-law’s condition first.
And, honestly, he already expected the result.
It’s as if I’ve always known that the kid is an Alpha?
"Hyung, is Go Gunjoon’s manifestation as an Alpha natural?"
"Yes, he manifested naturally," Seong Kyungmin said while nodding. "I didn’t see anything strange in his records. He’s just a late bloomer like some kids his age."
Heedo was relieved to hear that.
He wasn’t opposed to people who wanted to change their gender of Secondary Gender.
I only have a problem with it when you hurt other people just to achieve your goal.
Just like...
Just like what Lee Junsu tried to do and trying to do...?
Argh.
Heedo clutched his head with one hand when he felt a migraine coming, and it was annoying because he didn’t have that condition.
Damn these headaches...
"What’s wrong, Heedo-ssi?" Seong Kyungmin asked worriedly. "Does your head hurt?"
"I think I got overwhelmed by the things I found out earlier, Hyung. They seem important, but I don’t understand a thing."
Heedo was talking about his conversation with Jung Byeol.
He didn’t want the Omega kid to notice that he had problems with his memories, so he sent him away after the "tip" that he gave.
Actually, Jung Byeol requested to see Park Sohee.
But, of course, Heedo declined firmly.
Why is my husband so popular?
"Don’t force yourself to remember things you can’t," Seong Kyungmin said. "And your pheromones seem unstable. I know I told you to take care of your pregnant Omega. But that doesn’t mean you should be neglecting your own health. Don’t put yourself in stressful situations if you can avoid it."
"I’m fine, Hyung," Heedo assured the doctor. "I’m just irritated that there are a lot of insects around Sohee Hyung."
"Oh, are you jealous?"
"I’m not!"
"Why are you overreacting?"
When Heedo just frowned, Seong Kyungmin chuckled— obviously teasing him.
Fortunately, something diverted his attention.
It was a message from Park Sohee.
"Hyung, Sohee Hyung and Garam Hyung-nim are here," Heedo said while getting up. "Let’s go."
***
"GO GUNJOON manifested as an Alpha."
Oh.
Sohee was relieved to hear that his half-brother only fainted because he awakened and not because he was hurt.
He hurried to the hospital because he was really worried about Go Gunjoon.
Lim Garam didn’t want him to go alone, so he accompanied him there.
To be fair, it’s not like I’d be completely alone since I have my bodyguards with me. But I appreciate Lim Garam’s concern. Plus, the more bodyguards we have, the safer it is.
Anyway, aside from Kim Heedo and the twins, Go Gunjoon’s mother was already there when Sohee and Lim Garam arrived.
Hence, everyone was there when Seong Kyungmin announced his diagnosis.
"Congrats, Gunjoon-ah," Kim Haewon said cheerfully while clapping her hands. "I knew it— you really have Alpha vibes."
Kim Hanhae nodded in agreement. "If you have questions about being an Alpha, you can ask me."
Go Gunjoon smiled as if he was shy. "Thank you. I’ll rely on you then until I get used to my new Secondary Gender."
Aww.
Sohee was happy to see that Go Gunjoon had been good friends with the twins.
"Hyung, can you prepare everything Go Gunjoon will need as newly awakened Alpha?" Kim Heedo asked. "Please make sure that he’ll be comfortable."
Aww.
Once again, Sohee was touched.
Heedo cares about my family even if he doesn’t remember anything.
"Alright, I’ll prepare the necessary arrangements for Go Gunjoon-ssi," Seong Kyungmin said, and then he turned to Go Gunjoon’s mother. "Eomonim, please follow me. We need to discuss things that you’ll need now that your son has awakened as an Alpha."
"I understand, Doctor," Go Gunjoon’s mother said, and then he turned to Sohee. "Can we talk later."
Oh?
Sohee was surprised, but he found himself nodding in the end. "I’ll wait here then, ma’am."

"FATHER-IN-LAW, you really hired people to kill Lee Junsu in the past?" Kang Nari asked in disbelief. "How could you do that?"
She stormed into her father-in-law’s office as soon as she could to confront him.
To be honest, she could do it alone.
But when Kim Dohan found out that he was in the chairman’s office, her husband immediately followed her there.
Hence, the three of them were now having that heavy discussion.
"Is it because my son didn’t want to break up with Lee Junsu back then?" Kim Dohan asked through gritted teeth. "Abeoji, you tried to kill a child just because of your personal greed?"
"I just told you that my brain tumor has recurred, and yet you don’t seem to care," Chairman Kim Hyungsik said bitterly. "Yes, I hired people to kill that brat before. But what does it matter? That bastard survived. Even if he files a complaint, I can easily bury it. It’s not like he has the luxury to do that since he’s already busy with the Hongs."
As expected, Kang Nari’s father-in-law was updated.
He knows what’s happening even if he’s not directly involved.
"Do you not care about my health at all?" Chairman Kim Hyungsik complained, and then he turned to Kim Dohan. "Do you want me to die early so you could get your inheritance and the chairman position?"
"Abeoji, I’m not as greedy as you are," Kim Dohan said firmly. "I care more about my family than your wealth. But, right now, I can’t see you as a member of my family that I want to care about. Because of what you did in the past, my son has to suffer an ill fate."
Kang Nari could only agree with her husband.
After all, the two of them had already talked with Shaman Jung.
Our Heedo has to pay for his grandfather’s sins this time.
