Married For Now-Chapter 167: GREEN-EYED MONSTER
Chapter 167: GREEN-EYED MONSTER
SOHEE WOKE up late the next day, so it was already lunch when he joined his in-laws in the dining hall.
It was the weekend, and it seemed like everyone was free.
President Kang Nari and Vice Chairman Kim Dohan didn’t have weekend meetings or whatever.
Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae didn’t have extra classes.
And, of course, Kim Heedo had nowhere to go since Dr. Seong Kyungmin advised him to just stay at home in the meantime.
It’s nice to finally have lunch with the family.
"Sohee-ya, you’re not eating as much as you usually do. And you’re only having the side dishes," President Kang Nari commented, worried. "Do you not have the appetite?"
"Ah, it’s not like that, Mother-in-law," Sohee said while shaking his head. And then he decided to be honest. "To be honest, I don’t feel like having chicken these days..."
Most of the main dishes served were chicken dishes.
Yeong gye baeksuk (Korean chicken soup).
Korean fried chicken with soy glaze.
Dakgalbi (Korean spicy chicken stir-fry).
Chicken bulgogi.
Chicken katsu.
"Aigoo. You should have said so earlier," Vice Chairman Kim Dohan said, and then he paused before shaking his head. "No, I take that back. We should have asked you first. I’m sorry for being inconsiderate, Sohee-ya."
"No, not at all, Father-in-law," Sohee said, waving his hands— feeling a bit embarrassed. "It’s my appetite that’s weird these days."
To be honest, he didn’t say anything because he heard Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae planned the menu for their lunch.
The twins like chicken dishes.
"What do you want to eat, Hyung?" Kim Heedo asked, already pushing away the plates of chicken dishes in front of Sohee. "We can ask the chef to make anything you’re craving."
"Hanwoo beef," Sohee said almost immediately. It was an expensive meat. But it was something that was a staple in that household. Hence, he didn’t hesitate to ask for Hanwoo beef. "Can I have Hanwoo beef steak?"
"Of course."
After Kim Heedo said that, he asked the waiting staff to inform the chef to cook Hanwoo beef steak for Sohee.
"Is there anything else you’d like to eat, Hyung?"
Sohee shook his head in response to Kim Heedo’s question. "No, just beef is fine."
"Alright. Tell me if you want to eat something, Hyung. I’ll get it for you."
Aww.
Sohee was touched because even though Kim Heedo had lost his memories, he was still busy taking care of him.
I thought he would neglect me, but it didn’t happen.
The worst thing Kim Heedo did so far was to sleep in a different room.
But that it’s okay. I’m sure he’ll kick himself once he recovers his memories later.
"What’s wrong, Oppa? You can’t eat chicken? But we had fried chicken last time," Kim Haewon commented after the adults were done talking. "Are you sick?"
Oh, right.
The twins don’t know yet that I’m pregnant.
Sohee already informed their closest friends about his pregnancy, so he thought it was fine to let the twins know.
I wanted to keep my pregnancy a secret from Chairman Kim, but I was forced to reveal it since the chairman was having stupid thoughts. Wouldn’t be okay to inform the twins? I need them to be on my side, too.
But, first of all...
Sohee looked at his mother-in-law.
Fortunately, President Kang Nari immediately realized what Sohee wanted and asked the waiting staff to leave the dining hall.
And now that only their family was there...
"Haewon-ah, Hanhae-ya, congratulations," Sohee said, smiling at the confused twins. "You’re going to be an aunt and an uncle soon."
The twins blinked rapidly at first, and then the two gasped at the same time.
Oh, they’re really twins.
"Congratulations, Sohee Oppa and Heedo Oppa," Kim Haewon said, grinning. "I can’t believe I’m going to be an aunt soon!"
"Sohee Hyung-nim, do you not like the smell of chicken?" Kim Hanhae asked worriedly. "What else do you not like? Tell us. We want you to be as comfortable as possible. Thank you for giving us a niece or a nephew."
Aww.
Haewon and Hanhae are both sweet.
"Thank you, Haewon-ah, Hanhae-ya," Sohee said, smiling. He was glad that his siblings-in-law cared about him and his baby. "So far, the only thing I don’t like is chicken dishes."
The twins nodded as if they were keeping a mental note.
Then, a few moments later, the chef finally brought out the Hanwoo beef steak that Sohee had been craving.
I think one steak won’t be enough...

KIM HEEDO frowned after tucking Park Sohee in bed.
His husband had an indigestion after having three plates of Hanwoo beef steak.
Who’s going to take care of this hyung if not for me?
Of course, it was the Alpha in Heedo talking.
It’s my duty to protect and take care of my pregnant Omega.
"Oppa, how’s Sohee Oppa?"
Heedo knitted his eyebrows when Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae greeted him after leaving Park Sohee’s room. He didn’t want his (contract) husband’s sleep to be disturbed, so he asked the twins to follow him into the guest room that he was currently using.
Once they got there...
"You’ve been wanting to talk to Sohee Hyung since last night," Heedo said, crossing his arms over his chest. "What do you want from him? Tell me."
"But it’s Sohee Oppa’s business," Kim Haewon said awkwardly. "Is it alright if we tell you without telling him first, Oppa?"
"Kyungmin Hyung said Sohee Hyung can’t be stressed," Heedo insisted. "I’m Sohee Hyung’s husband, so I’ll let decide whether the matter you wish to discuss with him will be stressful or not."
Of course, he was just spouting bullshit.
Even if Sohee Hyung and I are married, we’re not obliged to share every little thing with each other. In fact, I even said the exact same thing to Hyung.
Hence, Heedo couldn’t help but feel like he was being a hypocrite at the moment.
"I guess it won’t hurt if we tell Heedo Hyung first," Kim Hanhae said to Kim Haewon. "I don’t want Sohee Hyung-nim to be stressed. It’s bad for the baby."
Kim Haewon nodded in agreement.
Whew.
"Oppa, you don’t remember Go Gunjoon, but he’s Sohee Oppa’s half-brother," Kim Haewon explained, pausing for a moment. "It’s hard to explain because you don’t remember anything related to Sohee Oppa. So, let’s just say that Go Gunjoon has a bad sunbae who keeps bothering him. Of course, the bodyguards that we assigned to keep Go Gunjoon safe are there to ward off that bad sunbae."
"But there are places where the bodyguards can’t follow Go Gunjoon without disturbing other people," Kim Hanhae added. "Fortunately, for some reason, Go Gunjoon is receiving help from Sohee Hyung-nim’s ex-boyfriend..."
Kim Hanhae trailed off when Kim Haewon nudged him.
It was too late, though.
I heard it from the twins last night, but it’s true, huh?
"Sohee Hyung’s ex-boyfriend?"
"Oppa, it hasn’t been confirmed yet," Kim Haewon said in an attempt to calm him down. "We’re just assuming that that oppa is Sohee Oppa’s ex-boyfriend."
"Even so, why is he taking care of someone else’s husband’s brother, huh?" Heedo complained. He didn’t know why, but he was seriously pissed. "If he’s an ex, he should stay out of Sohee Hyung’s business."
Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae gave him a weird look and asked at the same time:
"Why are you getting heated, Oppa?"
"Why are you mad, Hyung?"
Tsk.
Thankfully, Heedo didn’t have to answer the twins’ questions because he got a call.
It was a call from an unexpected person, but it was a call that he couldn’t ignore.
"Yes, Garam Hyung-nim?"
<"Heedo-ya, can my son and I visit Sohee today?">
Tsk.
Heedo was annoyed.
Why is my husband so popular?
***
IT WAS already afternoon when Sohee woke up.
He had to hurry because the twins informed him that Lim Garam and Baby Gunwoo were coming to visit him.
And he barely made it in time.
He had just finished preparing when Lim Garam arrived.
Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae knew that Sohee had something important to discuss with Lim Garam, so the twins volunteered to babysit Gunwoo.
On the other hand, Kim Heedo was preparing to leave the house.
He said he had something important to do. His parents allowed him to leave the house, but they sent a few bodyguards to keep an eye on Heedo.
"How are you, Sohee-ya?"
Oh.
Sohee knew that Lim Garam was worried about him because Kim Heedo lost his memories.
It was something he already shared with this hyung-nim on the phone.
But there’s still one thing that I want to share with Lim Garam.
Yes, he trusted this hyung-nim that much.
"Garam Hyung-nim, I’m pregnant."
Lim Garam gasped out loud. "Congratulations, Sohee-ya."
"Thank you, Hyung-nim."
"It must have been hard for you since Heedo lost his memories."
"Yes, Hyung-nim. That’s why I asked for your advice before."
"Didn’t I already tell you that helping Kim Heedo recover his memories is easy if you put your mind to it?" Lim Garam said, sighing while shaking his head. "You just have to make your husband so jealous that it will trigger a new wave of Pheromones Overload."
"But it’s too childish to make your partner jealous, Hyung-nim," Sohee said, his cheeks burning because the idea was too embarrassing for him. "Plus, I don’t think there’s someone in my life that could make Heedo jealous madly."
***
IT WAS an objectively handsome Alpha.
Kim Heedo clenched his hands tight while looking sharply at Ahn Yujae— Park Sohee’s one and only ex-boyfriend.
I’m already done with my investigation.
And Heedo wasn’t happy with the things he found out.
This Alpha is dangerous.
