Chapter 284: Weapon Creation

=====

[Duplicate]

—Create a replica of any object, but the quality of whatever you duplicate will be halved.

=====

’Wow... a skill to replicate any object, how cool!’ Harry thought, nodding to himself.

Although the system included that whatever he duplicated would have its quality halved, meaning, it wouldn’t be as effective as the original, it was still an amazing skill.

He was sure that after he levelled up the skill, the efficiency of the duplicate would increase also, until it became an exact replica of the original!

All he had to do was practice... and the skill would eventually reach unimaginable levels of power.

’Weapon Creation.’ He thought, moving on the next skill.

There were some skills he skipped over for now, deciding to check them out later as he focused first on the ones which interested him the most.

=====

[Weapon Creation]

—Create any weapon of your choice using your energy. The quality of the weapon depends on your imagination and amount of energy poured into it.

=====

The name of this particular skill was already self-explanatory, but seeing the description directly from the system still amazed Harry.

He still found it hard to believe that he was able to get so many awesome skills from his evolution, feeling all the more glad that he didn’t fail in comprehending the element.

However, while the skill description sounded quite simple, Harry could tell it was more complex than that.

’With this skill... I’ll really be moulding a weapon from the scratch.’ He mused, placing a hand on his chin.

Since the system said the quality of whatever weapon he created depended on his imagination, it meant he had to have a standard image of whatever he wanted to create.

If the image in his mind was weak, then the weapon wouldn’t come out the way he wanted, even if he poured all the energy in the world into it.

That was actually the most important part about using the skill, while the channelling of energy was more secondary; something mainly done to increase its power output.

Nonetheless, him having a high understanding of weapons didn’t matter much in this case.

As long as he didn’t cross his boundaries and try creating something that was too complex, he should be able to craft a simple, yet standard weapon good enough for him.

’Weapon Creation.’

’Energy Manipulation.’

Without wasting any time, he simultaneously activated the two skills, already having an idea of what kind of weapon he wanted to create.

Though he could have just utilised [Weapon Creation] for whatever he wanted to do, he still decided to activate [Energy Manipulation] along with it.

He did this in order to make the channelling of energy even smoother.

Since he had zero experience when it came to crafting with his raw energy, he didn’t plan on relying on his skill alone, to prevent himself from making any mistakes.

Swoosh!

His energy bloomed above his hands, burning like a flame as they could around each other.

The blue and golden streaks also swirled along with it, weaving together in a beautiful motion.

’Now... let’s do this.’ Harry thought, his lips curling into a light smirk.

He already had a solid image of the weapon he wanted to create, deciding to go along with a simple dagger.

It was the weapon he was familiar with the most, especially since it was what he used during his expeditions in the beast forest.

He could also choose short swords, since he personally experienced Leon using them, but he still decided to go with daggers, as they were simpler in nature.

He quickly poured his will into the energy on his palms, causing them to condense, rapidly moulding into the weapon of his choice.

The energy swirled around themselves like tendrils, sticking tightly to one another as they started forming the handle of the daggers.

Above each of his palm, a dagger was being form, at relatively same speeds.

Thanks to the help of [Energy Manipulation], he didn’t have to divide his mind into two to do this.

All he had to do was focus on the formation of one dagger, while commanding the energy on his other palm to match whatever he did.

The sensation was a little difficult to get used to at first, but he eventually got the hang of it, and crafting the daggers only became easier.

With each passing second, the rate at which they formed rapidly increased, and before long, two short daggers fully materialised over his hands.

’Finally...’ Harry thought, exhaling in relief.

He gently gripped the daggers, examining their appearances with his eyes shining in excitement.

Their blades had a shiny golden colour, along with thick, dark blue handles.

However, what stood out the most on the blades were the thin white sparks trialing from their handles to the tip of the blade.

The sparks coiled around the blade like lightning, shimmering with a soft, beautiful glow.

The two daggers had similar white patterns, however, the one on his right hand had sparks which coiled towards the right, while the second was the opposite.

This odd design created a beautiful contrast between the blades, which put him in a trance-like state.

’Probe.’ He quickly scanned them, eager to see the stats of the weapon.

====

[Name: ....]

[Rank: ¿¿¿]

[Durability: 100%]

[Power: 3000]

[Defence: 1000]

[Description: A pair of nameless daggers crafted by a manaless mage. A weapon with great elemental affinity, and increases the effectiveness of elemental attacks by over 300%.]

===

When Harry saw the stats, his eyes widened slightly, a little taken aback at the huge power contained within such a small blade.

He remembered when he scanned Nathan’s bastard sword, a rank four artefact.

The sword only had a power level of 500, and a defence of a little over 400, yet it couldn’t compare to the daggers he just created, possessing a staggering power of 3000 each!

’A power level of 3000... what artefact rank would that be?’ Harry wondered, smiling to himself in pride.

If he were to roughly gauge, it would be classified as a rank six artefact at least, one of the rarest artefacts in the world!

He couldn’t help but be proud of the work he had just created, feeling a wave of accomplishment wash over his heart.

’But why... doesn’t it have a rank?’ Harry thought, staring at the three upside-down questions marks placed in front of the rank.

He wasn’t too surprised that it didn’t have a name. Since he created the artefacts, he would be the one also to name it.

As he hadn’t given them a name yet, it wasn’t surprising the system considered them ’nameless’ at the moment.

What really puzzled him were those three questions marks... was it because he created them using his energy?

While he was still thinking, a panel suddenly popped up in front of him, causing his eyes to brighten.

[Congratulations Host, on creating your first weapon!]

[What would Host like to name this weapon?]

"A name for the daggers..." Harry muttered, a smirk slowly spreading across his face. "Twin golden blades."

I edited something in his skills and abilities in Chapter 282 and 283. It’s not really a major change, but kindly check it out, so you won’t get confused later on. And I’m very sorry for the inconvenience.
