49 Badur's Gate

"Is that meant to be a joke?"

In the very center of the tamlin group's camp, a small banquet was being held In front of a bonfire. Among the people present for this event were the most prestigious people in the camp.

There was the commander, Alaric, Kilian and several elders of the tamlin group, like protector Talsi, the chain wielding elder and the three main elders.

"I'm afraid not sire....but I can try to verify" Beside the commander, Alaric, a guard knelt and whispered into his ear with some caution. He didn't want to spoil the mood because of an unsubstantiated rumor from a normal guard. But this was too sensitive.

"Hmp!! There's no need. She's already here" the commander said with a visible look of annoyance.

From the corner of a tent not too far away, he could see a lady with white hair moving towards them abet being surrounded by numerous spears and guards.

A moment later, more people noticed the new arrival. Of course, this was because of the peculiarity of her situation. Surrounded by spears, but still, she rode in like she owned the place.

"neigh!!!!" The horse Arian was on soon came to an abrupt stop just before the bonfire.

"Is that?" For those who knew Arian, they were quickly able to recognize her. The amour was the same, the sword was the same and the face was the same. The only difference in her appearance was her hair, but just this served to magnify her beauty by several folds.

"You survived....." Alaric stared into Arians eyes with pure, unadulterated Anger. This b*tch was the reason his cousin was currently laying in a bed in the camp struggling for his life, and she dared show herself here again?

"Of course I did. What? Did you think I would let myself die before seeking justice ?" Arian's expression remained cold and unfeeling, more like that of a Robot. Her words were clearly filled with threat, but her tone showed no interest?

"Oh you've come to kill me? You must have gone crazy after watching me shatter your filthy bitch of a mother's soul" Alaric responded with Mockery.

Arian coming here was the stupidest thing that she could have done. He had failed to kill her because of the battlefield was chaotic, but even then, he had her hanging off a thread. Now there was no battle, he would definitely kill her no matter what.

"Yes I might have gone crazy....." Arian said before slowly turning her gaze to the sky where a cloud of black smoke had formed in the sky.

"Hm?" The commander and several others followed her line of sight and their gaze landed on the smokey cloud.

The camp had suddenly caught fire.

"Fire!!!!" A guard screamed, and immediately after a host of guards rushed in the direction of the smoke.

"You did this?" Alaric turned to Arian and frowned. Coming here by herself would have been a mistake, and he knew Arian wasn't stupid, so what card did she have under her sleeve?

"Wait for it...." Arian said with a smirk and almost immediately.

"Yeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!" From the distance, a screech that could only be described as ear-piercing sounded from the distance.

"Shit!!! Who let her out?" the commander looked in the direction of the death squad encampment with dread.

That sound....it was from the blood Demon Liana. Someone had freed that crazy monster.

"Kilian, make sure she stays behind!!" Grinding his teeth, Alaric commanded before flashing into the sky.

"We have to go too" several other Elders flashed in the same direction of Alaric. Liana wasn't the only level 3 warlock that was caged in the death camps encampment. They were expected to meet massive resistance.

One by one, the elders and members of the Tamlin group spread back into the camp.

They had to avert this disaster.

They had family members in the main camp, forget the escaped prisoners. They didn't want their family to die in the blaze.

"Hmp!! You don't know what's good for you!!" Kilian looked over at Arian with annoyance.

He was the one who allowed the first elder to escape with Leon and her. If they eventually nip this Chaos in the bud, he would be blamed for all this.

"Hmm, I have no problem with you Kilian, just step out of the way" Arian voiced

Kilian was ruthless but logical, he knew when to step back when matters were getting out of hand.

"Hmp!! Your coming back here has made it my problem now Surrender or else I'll come over there and make you Surrender"

Arian was but a level 2 mage, he didn't need too much to take her down before going to help his comrades.

—shing

He pulled out his sword and —woosh

—Clang!!!!

Arian pulled out her sword and clashed with him, dust picked up, and the bonfire quenched like it was a candle.

The sheer power behind this clash indicated one simple fact

Arian was no weakling.

"So that's why…" Kilian frowned and jumped backwards.

They had made two assumptions. Firstly, They had assumed that Arian was here alone, they were wrong. Secondly, they had assumed that she came here while still being a level 2 mage. They were wrong again. She was, in fact, a level 3 mage, just like him.

If he made the assumption that he would win against Arian in a full-fledged battle and still make it back on time to help Alaric, it would be overkill.

"Even if we fight, you won't be able to stop me from leaving" Arian said with confidence. Before slowly floating off her horse and into the sky.

It is the nature of level 3 Warlocks to gain the ability of flight, but this also depends on their attributes.

Someone like Kilian who used an earth-attribute mage had the ability to fly but would find it difficult to keep flying for a long time. However, for Arian, a wind attribute mage? She could fly got hours.

"Hmp!! If you escape me, then it won't be from a lack of trying" Kilian shook his head.

He knew Arian was as good as gone, but he had to try. He, too, floated into the sky.

"Hmm, I will accompany you then" Arian nodded and prepared for battle.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Meanwhile,

"Here you go, kid." An elderly warlock floating above Leon's horse said as he threw a body bag onto Leon's horse.

"Thank you old man, enjoy your new-found freedom" Leon nodded at the old man and turned his horse around.

He had noticed a foul aura when he came to the death squad camp before. At first, he thought it was from Alaric. But then he realized that he had felt this aura before.

It was from when he was in the gray salamander clan encampment. This aura was one he had felt from the Winged Devil when he appeared. From then He understood, that the death camp was the location where the level 3 Warlocks were being kept.

At least those that were captured.

"Haha, young lad, we appreciate, but there's still a score to be settled here" the old WingedDevil commented while his eyes slowly fell onto a group of silhouettes flying over.

Alaric and the other Elders of the tamlin group had arrived.

"Go on kid, I'm sure with Warlocks like you still roaming around we will still see a raise in your blood serpent clan" the Winged Devil praised before turning to fly into the sky.

15:23

Soon he was joined by several other Warlocks, including the now crazy Liana.

"Boss, I think this is the last of them" gunta appeared before Leon and spoke. He, too, had several body bags and corpses on his horse.

"Hm, let's go" Leon nodded and rode off with gunta following behind.

,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

A few hours later

On a mountain, a few kilometers away from the camp….

Leon could be observed seated cross-legged in front of a fire.

—woop

Behind him, a stack of dead bodies could be observed arranged in a pyramid structure.

"Hmmm, this is enough." Leon nodded, then turned to the fire. He then began chanting.

"In the darkest of nights, the moon shines Bright

Fu shu

Everything grows and everything perishes

Fu shu

From the darkness we were born to the darkness we return

Fu shu

Death is a release and life is a cage....

Badur's gates

"

As soon as these words lefts his mouth, an ominous metal Door the size of a castle's gate appeared right behind him.

"Form" Leon began creating hand signs in the lotus position. And from the corpses, an ominous dark purple energy began to sip out and started floating into the gate.

It was like a hungry monster swallowing its favorite meal.

Not long after.....

—Boom

The gate swung open, and a suction force erupted from inside it.

—woo-hoo

It soon began swallowing all the corpses.

Beside a tree not too far away from Leon, Arian and Gunta stood observing this occurrence with caution.

Even Arian couldn't help but feel somewhat shaken by the gate. The energy it emitted was one that even her a level 3 warlock couldn't help but fear.

It was incredible, if the gate were to turn this energy on her, she didn't think she could take it. She couldn't understand how a level 1 warlock could create such a thing.

"Bring the boy" While they were all revelling In their shock and amazement. Leon called forward.

"Hm," Arian nodded and began pulling a young man Leon's age towards Leon.

The young man looked bruised and beaten, with bandages all over his body. Whatever had happened to him was brutal.

Of course, this young man was Anan.

Even though Leon had stabbed in all over his body, he made sure that he missed all his vital organs. And that was the only reason he was still alive.

Because Leon wanted it to be so.

Leon stood up from his lotus position and grabbed Anan by the arm, then proceeded to drag him into Badurs gates.

What followed were a series of wails and screams that shook both Arian and Gunta. It was not only disturbing to hear, it was also painful.

But with all said and done, Leon was the only one to emerge from the gate, but this time he emerged different.

He no longer had the eyes he was born with. He had Anan's blue supernova eyes now.
