Chapter 551: The Day After

The next day, Ronan accompanied Arielle to explain everything regarding all the mysteries that have never been written in the history books to Priest Elis. One of them was about Amadea’s curse. Arielle also explained that her power was different from Priest Elis or Priest Louise. She even showed her blue flames.

After that, Arielle wrote a letter to be sent to Archie to inform the man that she had returned to Northendell and would hold the coronation ceremony again within a week.

Ronan left the letter to the courier along with an invitation of Arielle’s coronation procession for Archie, as well as Duke Ambrose, Archie’s grandfather who also promised to visit the north later.

Ronan was busy finishing up a lot of his work, which he had neglected for the past month. Of course, on one condition that Arielle would accompany him. He still didn’t want to be separated from his wife. Ronan even asked Arielle to go with him every time he took a bath. Of course, they didn’t forget to do some steamy activities behind the bathroom door.

Then, Arielle also sent someone to invite Sasha. Aimee said that Sasha had sent several letters to the palace, but she sent a reply that the princess couldn’t be disturbed at the moment.

William was also busy informing the higher-ups and citizens that Arielle’s health was getting better. During the last month, they used the excuse that the princess was sick so that no one could visit her on Ronan’s orders. Thus, the good news caused great joy for all the people in Northendell.

Arielle had another task she had to do. It was about explaining the thing that had happened to ten people from Birwick Village who had come back alive with her power.

In the end, Arielle couldn’t do that anymore. Although it was possible to do the same thing again, Lord Otis forbade her to use her power in that way because bringing back a dead human was against the laws of nature.

Death was the greatest blessing a human could have from the God of Life. If Arielle did it again, it was likely that the person who should have died would become another variable that could disrupt the balance of other lives in the future. If something that shouldn’t exist suddenly occurred, it would certainly cause chaos.

Arielle had prepared a reason if someone asked her to do it again, and she also had to refuse the requests of several people who were whining to meet her just to ask to revive one of her family members.

Out of the ten people that Arielle had brought back to life, only four people had registered and became part of the apprentice priest in the cathedral. The rest were elderly people and a baby boy.

They didn’t apply to become a priest because they were very old, while the baby would be given the opportunity until the age of ten to decide whether he wanted to use the mana power within his body to become a priest or not.

Arielle folded the last letter to give to one of the officers in the chapel where the former queen was buried. It stated that Arielle would take some of the inventory owned by Queen Zoe that were well kept there. She wanted to give it to Arthur as well as Irene. Ronan had also given his permission.

Ronan still looked worried. Whenever they were resting, the man would look up at the sky, waiting for a dragon he didn’t really expect. However, the dragon’s arrival meant that he would meet his father and sister again, the people he had considered dead.

Ronan had a hard time accepting this fact. He didn’t know what to do because he had never had a younger sister and it had been such a long time since he met his father. Even though Arielle had explained everything that happened on the night of the tragedy, it was still hard for Ronan to forgive the man. His father had done a lot of things.

When he was a little kid, his father tortured him to hid his animal side. Every time he changed to a wolf, his father will beat him and starve him. Those memories made him lost interest to had his own babies.

Because of that tragedy, Ronan had lost everything, his sister, father, mother. It also left a deep scar on his face. It was natural that Ronan was still hesitating to accept them back. However, Arielle repeatedly reminded him of what really happened that night. That was why, even if Ronan still had doubts, she asked the man to meet them first.

The status of Arthur and Irene, who were still alive, was still a secret to some people. Only Arielle, Ronan, William, Kael, Lazarus, and Priest Elis knew about it. Ronan was worried that it would cause another conflict if anyone found out that his father was still alive, especially the elders in the palace.

They might not like the way Ronan managed the entire kingdom by discarding the incompetent people and replacing them with new people who were sometimes not from the royal family.

They might try to make Arthur a king again, considering that his father and mother were very close to the royal nobles, not like Ronan who always kept his distance from them.

Ronan shook his head. nah, he shouldn’t had a negative thoughts. His father once was a king but now those reign already over. Now was his time to proof himself that he was also the rightful king. Northendell belong to him not his father again.

Ronan tried to approached his wife to get some fresh air. Arielle’ presence always made him calm.

"How’s your job? Are you tired?" Ronan asked Arielle.

The man put down his pen then stood up to approach his wife. Both of his hands massaged Arielle’s shoulders, which felt stiff. He gently massaged them until Arielle groaned.

"You want to eat again?" Ronan’s offer made Arielle chuckle.
