Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 539: It’s Not A Dream
"You should have told me first, Your Highness! You had no idea how much I was worried about you! Every time I ate, I always thought, were you eating too? Was your food nutritious or not? Was your food good or not? And when I was about to sleep, I always wondered did you sleep well? Did you use a warm blanket? Was your bed comfortable? And every time I wanted to do activities, I would always wonder, were you okay? What if you were sick? When would you come home? There was still a lot I was worried about. I didn’t even have time to worry about myself..."
"Tania... I’m sorry..." Arielle said as she hugged Tania again.
Tania, who was still in tears, returned Arielle’s hug no less tightly. However, when she hugged the princess, Tania realized that the clothes Arielle was wearing were very thin with some parts ripped and burned. The girl also felt thinner.
Tania held Arielle’s face then shook her head.
"It shouldn’t be like this."
Tania pushed Arielle’s body to release her arms, then got off the bed. Aimee and Arielle forbid the woman to move, but they got scolded instead.
"Don’t you see how dirty you are?! Besides, your body is only bones! Where did all your nutrients go!?" Tania asked in a high tone that made Arielle and Aimee fall silent.
Tania pulled Arielle’s hand to go to the princess’s room. She also prepared warm water as well as liquid soap and shampoo to clean the princess’s body from dust, mud, and others.
"Tania ... I can do it myself," said Arielle when Tania’s hand tried to take off her clothes. However, Tania pushed Arielle’s hand away.
"No, I have to do it myself to make sure you take a clean bath so I can rest peacefully."
"Tania, please don’t be like this. You’re still sick..."
Tania turned to Arielle, then smiled. "Seeing you have come back gives me a new energy. Let me do it so that I don’t need to worry anymore," said the woman, making Arielle’s heart touched.
Arielle held Tania’s hand and soaked her body into the bathtub filled with warm water. The girl let out a long sigh because it felt like it had been a long time since she had felt this comfortable and relieved sensation. The last time Arielle took a warm bath, she felt like she was about to become chicken soup because Maxieno didn’t stop heating the water until it boiled her body.
The gentle massage on her hair with a soothing fragrance of the shampoo made Arielle finally feel at home. After cleaning her body, Aimee helped Arielle choose a dress. The girl picked a grey dress which was quite thick to warm the princess’ body.
It had been a long time since Arielle had worn a dress because during her stay in Birwick, she had been in and out of the forest which required her to wear shabby pants and shirts. If she wore a skirt or dress, it was certain that she would fall in the middle of the forest.
Now, Arielle had dressed neatly. Aimee offered to bring her some food, but she refused it because she wanted to visit Ronan’s treatment room once again. However, Tania forced Arielle to eat first.
"Alright, I’ll just eat there. Now, you go back to your room and rest again..." Arielle said then told Tania to return to her room. The old woman had helped her a lot this morning. She didn’t want to make Tania, who was not fully recovered, sick again from exhaustion.
Arielle left her room to go to Ronan’s treatment room. She looked at the palace courtyard that had been messed up by Maxieno’s actions earlier.
"Arielle," someone called out in a breathless voice.
Arielle turned back to the front and found Ronan who was holding onto the wall, trying to stand up straight. The man was out of breath, and his face was still pale. A long coat draped over his shoulders. Behind Ronan, William was following him. The man looked annoyed and confused.
"Ronan," Arielle replied in surprise.
The man ran again with limp steps and bumped his body on Arielle’s quite hard. It made her almost fall backwards, but two strong hands held Arielle’s body tightly.
"Where have you been?!" Ronan shouted frustratedly.
Arielle returned her husband’s hug and patted him on the back many times. Ronan then buried his face in Arielle’s shoulder, inhaling the sweet scent he had longed for. He continued to tighten his embrace, making Arielle feel suffocated. However, she didn’t say anything. Arielle knew that Ronan was like this because of her stupidity in always delaying the communication with him.
"Don’t go again. This time, I won’t make you go alone again."
Arielle nodded, still trying to calm Ronan’s body, which was shaking in fright.
Something wet hit her shoulder. Arielle then heard Ronan starting to sob.
"I was worried about you... I missed you...."
"Ronan..."
"You... I am not dreaming, am I?"
Arielle shook her head. "No, I’m real, and I’m hugging you right now."
Ronan lifted his face, and Arielle gave him a sweet smile. Gently, Arielle wiped every tear falling from the man’s eyes.
"I’m sorry," she said, feeling sad because her husband’s face was not as bright as before.
Ronan rubbed his face on Arielle’s palm while confirming that it was really Arielle in front of him.
"Hm, this time, you are indeed at fault," he replied in a lower tone now.
"Sorry." Arielle apologized once again.
Ronan nodded, then hugged the girl once more while kissing the top of his wife’s head countless times.
"As a punishment, you can’t leave me again."
Arielle nodded her head. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Forever?" Ronan asked affectionately, tightening his arms around Arielle’s body.
"Yeah, forever," replied Arielle while returning Ronan’s hug no less tightly.
Ronan continued to hug Arielle. The girl tried to release her husband’s hands from her body several times, but all his efforts were always in vain. Arielle wanted Ronan to go back to rest because the man hadn’t fully recovered yet.
