Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 536: The Crowd
Maxieno flew really high above the clouds so that no one could see them. Besides, the grey clouds also camouflaged their shadow as Maxieno passed the houses of the residents in Birwick Village. He glided with full power through the forest. It only took a few minutes for Maxieno to pass through the dense of Birwick forest. If they used a carriage, it usually took hours to pass through the forest.
"Maxieno, thank you."
"Shut up, I don’t want to have an emotional bond with a human," Maxieno said irritably.
Arielle smiled. Maxieno did have a terrible attitude. However, without that man, she would never have been able to get this far. Maybe Arielle would still learn to control the amount of mana that came out of her body from Otis. Although several times she felt that training under Maxieno was really torturous, Arielle had no regrets at all. She could be this far because of all the torture that the red dragon had done.
Arielle couldn’t wait to see Ronan again. She wanted to see the curse lifted from him. Now Ronan didn’t have to worry and be afraid of his past anymore. He didn’t have to doubt himself again, and felt anxious every time the full moon came.
Ronan was free!
Maxieno slid down and landed with a booming thud, destroying the statue and garden in Northendell’s Palace. Everyone screamed, and the whole army and all the priests instantly surrounded Arielle and Maxieno.
"It’s me!" shouted Arielle while raising her hand as hundreds of arrows and bows aimed at them.
"KAEL!!! IT’S ME!!!" Arielle shouted then jumped down from Maxieno’s back.
Kael widened his eyes after seeing the princess in such a disheveled condition. He barely recognized Arielle with her short hair. If it weren’t for the white hair and the girl’s voice, Kael would still attack the dragon.
Kael jumped from the balcony of the second floor palace to approach the princess.
"Your Highness! Where were you all this time?"
"Ronan! Where is Ronan now? I can’t hear his voice," Arielle asked frantically. She was in a panic so she didn’t have time to answer Kael’s question.
"Please come with me," Kael said and took Arielle’s hand. They were running towards the room where Ronan stayed.
Maxieno gritted his teeth in annoyance because Arielle left him just like that. Did the girl forget that he was willing to smell the rotten humans around him because he had other goal? Maxieno growled at the knights that had not lowered their weapons yet. He then changed into a human and sat alone on the statue of a wolf that fell to the snowy ground.
Maxieno sat with his arms folded in front of his chest while waiting for Arielle to come back with part of his brother’s body that the girl had promised.
Arielle ran with Kael. Aimee, who was preparing cold water for Ronan, dropped the iron basin after seeing the princess, spilling all the water she had brought. Aimee gasped to see the figure of Arielle that she never thought she would see again. Without thinking, Aimee ran after Arielle.
Lucas, who had just appeared in the palace hallway with the five rabbits, was also surprised to see Arielle’s figure running past him. The five rabbits also saw their master and jumped from the basket held by Lucas. They ran after Arielle as well, while Lucas panicked. He was afraid the rabbits would accidentally be trampled by others.
Lazarus, who had just cleaned his face and came out of a room, frowned at seeing Aimee running around the hallway. He then turned to the side and squinted his eyes. Lazarus also saw the figure of a woman with short white hair? Princess Arielle? But, why was her hair short and dull? Or maybe it was someone else? Lazarus had to confirm it directly. He then ran after them.
William who was talking to Priest Elis in the hallway was surprised to see a familiar figure. Arielle didn’t even have time to say hello to William and just walked past the man. The surprised William also ran to make sure that the person he saw earlier was really Arielle.
Priest Elis suddenly felt goosebumps after feeling an incredible power brushed past him. He was burned with curiosity, so he also ran with the group that was chasing Arielle to determine the power just now.
Kael pointed to a door in the treatment room.
"There, Your Highness," he said.
Arielle rushed into the room and closed the door behind her, ignoring the crowd that had been following her.
She was out of breath, and her heart was beating very fast. Her throat felt tight after seeing the unconscious figure lying helplessly on the bed. His legs and arms were tied by iron on the bed in the treatment room.
A doctor was surprised to find someone unexpected visiting the room.
"What happened?" Arielle asked, walking closer to Ronan’s unconscious body.
The doctor fixed his glasses and then explained the strange things that had happened to the king.
Arielle touched Ronan’s forehead and absorbed all the heat in her husband’s body. However, every time Arielle absorbed it, the man’s body heated up again.
"What are these injuries?" she asked while pointing to the numerous wounds on her husband’s hands and neck that were still bleeding profusely.
The doctor explained about the abnormal conditions that had happened to Ronan the night before. Last night, during the full moon, Ronan didn’t turn into a wolf. The king still maintained his human body, but he felt an intense heat until he screamed for help many times. The wounds on his body and neck were the result of his own claws.
The doctors then agreed to give three times the dose of anesthetic. Finally, after suffering for a long time, Ronan fell asleep even though his body was still burning.
Arielle continued to touch Ronan’s forehead and absorb the heat that the man emitted. She looked at her husband’s face. Ronan looked very messy. His hair was already much longer than the last time they met. The fine hair on his face also grew like he never shaved or cleaned it again. Arielle also smelled alcohol.
Besides, the man’s hands were much thinner than she had remembered.
"Ronan ... sorry," said Arielle who could not hold back her sadness anymore. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
