Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 259: The Start Of The War
"Eh? Your Majesty?" the guard was dumbfounded when he heard the king’s orders. "But what about Prince Archie?"
King Hugo glanced at his guards with clenched jaws. The man immediately bowed and conveyed the command from King Hugo as quickly as possible. The squad leaders ordered the arrow group to turn around immediately. They couldn’t change the position of the cannons quickly.
"Father! Don’t you want to welcome my success?"
"Take off your hoodie, and I will come down to hug you, my son," said King Hugo coldly.
Archie chuckled and ordered the man beside him to take off his hood.
The man slowly lowered the cloth covering his face and smiled at King Hugo, who was now looking at him with anger.
"Nice to meet you, father-in-law," said Ronan with a big smile.
"RONAAANNNN!!!"
BOOM!

Alexis was already on his spot. He lowered his binoculars and then raised his hand to signal his troops to get ready.
The gate had closed again after Archie’s group entered the palace. Now was the time for him to finish off Ronan’s group, who would arrive in a few moments.
His heart was beating fast as time passed. The nighttime was very advantageous for them because it would hide them in the darkness of the forest. According to the information he got, Ronan came with thirty escort horses and a hundred soldiers walking.
There were enough of them to slay the group in a matter of seconds. From where he was, he began to hear the galloping of the horses accelerating. Just one command and Alexis would surround the Northern soldiers in an instant.
Alexis was holding the reins of his horse, as were several soldiers behind him. His lips formed a smile as he watched the green fireworks explode in the sky.
He then lowered his hand towards the front, followed by the other team leaders to immediately move to the main gate to enter the palace.
Alexis spurred his horse fast and stopped right in front of the masked man’s horse. His cavalry squad was already standing behind him. In the next instant, the northern group was surrounded by a thousand mounted groups of Nieverdell knights.
William, who rode in front with Lucas, who was wearing Ronan’s mask, immediately came forward.
"We came peacefully to pick up Princess Arielle," he said politely.
"Arielle belongs to Nieverdell," Alexis replied loudly.
Alexis raised his hand without hearing William’s words. Once again, he gave the command, and the Northern troops advanced, led by Kael to counter the attack from Nieverdell.
The battle broke out. Horses chased each other with their rider’s swords swung wide. The sound of metal meeting metal and the screams of thousands of people in front of the palace gates got muffled by the roar of the fireworks from the capital.
William took out his sword. Lucas was still sitting alone on his horse, waiting for William and Kael to finish off a thousand Nieverdell troops with his two hundred soldiers.
When William wanted to lunge at Alexis, three Nieverdell knights immediately restrained him, making William growl in anger.
Alexis and Lucas were now facing each other, surrounded by their troops with blood gushing in the background. But Northendell’s army was still holding out as many of Nieverdell’s soldiers fell one by one.
Alexis ignored that. He stared intently at the masked man in front of him. Maybe because it was night, he couldn’t see the king’s red eyes. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Alexis pulled out his sword. He pulled the reins of his horse to lunge swiftly at the masked man. But before Lucas could come forward, he stretched out his right hand and instantly...

BOOM!
Arielle squirmed slowly. Her head felt very heavy. It was as if she heard an explosion from a short distance away. She batted her eyes slowly to regain consciousness.
After realizing where she was, Arielle panicked and felt a cloth covering her mouth tightly, making Arielle unable to make any sound. Her hands were tightly tied behind her back. So were her legs.
Arielle screamed as best as she could, but her voice was muffled by the cloth covering her mouth.
She was being held in a small warehouse. Around her were piles of wooden basins, brooms and ladders. Arielle knew this place. It was at the back end of the palace near the abandoned tower. Arielle often took the equipment to clean from here. This room was only as wide as a grown man’s spread arm.
She couldn’t stay here forever. Arielle had a fear of being in a narrow dark room. Her head was getting dizzy. Her breath hitched, and sweat started to trickle down her temples. Arielle was scared. The dark room reminded her of something, but Arielle couldn’t remember!
Both of her feet pounded on the door many times, but no one came to help her.
BOOM!
"Aahhhh...!!" Arielle screamed in surprise, but her voice was covered by the explosion just now.
There was no window there, which made Arielle even more panicked. She had heard two explosions from different directions. She folded her knees and moved to the end of the room.
Arielle was scared. That place and the sound of the explosion just now made Arielle unable to think. She bit the cloth covering her until her teeth hurt. Her body shook violently when she heard a series of gunshots.
The voices of the men’s shouts and the clash of swords were clearly heard from where Arielle was. Arielle continued to cry alone from the chaos out there.
What happened?
No one knew how long Arielle squatted at the end of the room when suddenly the door opened wide. She was even more frightened to see Duke Pellington appear in front of her.
"You come with me!!!"
Duke Pellington pulled Arielle’s tied arm violently, causing the girl to fall off her balance. Her body hit a pile of wooden buckets, causing her pain. Duke Pellington seemed to ignore Arielle, who was in pain, and continued to drag her.
