Chapter 215: Archie’s Advise

"I see now, but I don’t think it will be easy to beat someone who has once defeated a dragon," Archie said as he looked at the map in front of him.

"That is the purpose of our meeting this time. Devise a strategy to make the Northerners unable to fight back. And I invited you so you can be a part of this historic event with Alexis, Archie." King Hugo clenched his fists and laughed heartily. "We’re going to kill Ronan here! We will kill the northern wolves with our sharp thorns! And we will prove that Nieverdell can never be underestimated!"

Archie’s mouth fell open. He was very impressed by his father. Archie got up and clapped loudly.

"Father! I’m honored to have been allowed to join this event! I will make Nieverdell’s name written beautifully in history!"

Alexis just silently watched Archie’s face blush with joy. Of course, he was happy, because then, he could bring out his psychopathic side at will. Archie glanced at Alexis, then smiled broadly.

"This is our chance to show our worth, my brother."

Alexis’s fists clenched tightly. He felt annoyed when he heard Archie’s words just now. Archie, who received a glare from Alexis immediately waved his hand to correct his sentence.

"I mean, YOU will look even more worthy of being a king," Archie’s correction quickly made King Hugo laugh.

King Hugo ordered Archie to sit in front of him again. "Relax, I intend after we massacre the Northerners, we will immediately marry Arielle to Duke Pellington so that Alexis can immediately replace me as the king."

"I agree, Father!" Archie said, making King Hugo smile happily.

Even so, a feeling of discomfort enveloped Alexis again. Somehow he had a bad feeling ever since Archie opened his mouth.

"Then let’s start talking seriously," said King Hugo.

The strategy meeting for the festival night had been completed, and all the top military officers, as well as royal advisors, had left the king’s study. King Hugo told Alexis to go back first. He still wanted to talk to Archie a little longer.

Even so, Alexis still couldn’t leave Archie alone. He was willing to stand waiting for his brother at the door of his father’s study. And it wasn’t until the door opened that Alexis stood up straight again.

"What were you talking about in there?" asked Alexis when Archie had just come out of King Hugo’s study.

"Nothing serious. Father asked me to be serious in carrying out my duties because I have to deal with one of the pillars of Northendell later."

"And what are you going to do now?"

Archie hummed quietly in thought. "I don’t have much on the agenda in the palace. Maybe I’ll go to the harbor area for a few days to check the conditions there before being assigned by father."

"You’re leaving tomorrow?"

"I do not know. If I get bored, maybe I’ll just leave tonight. I will leave depending on what my heart says. Why ask? Do you want to join me and have a look around the harbor area?" Archie asked kindly.

Alexis snorted at his question.

"No need. I was just asking," he said, then turned away, leaving Archie still standing watching his brother leave. The friendly smile he had been holding on for so long disappeared, and he turned in the opposite direction.

Arielle was sewing an old torn garment. Probably chewed by a rat while she was away. Sasha had fallen asleep on her bed, and Tania went to get their dinner.

The door to her room was open. Arielle thought that Tania had returned, but it was Archie who came back with a bag of medicine for bruises and a bandage and then gave it to Arielle.

"What is this for, Archie?" asked Arielle who was confused to see Archie carrying this much stuff.

"Don’t be complacent and watch out, don’t let yourself get tortured by Andrea or the other siblings."

"Huh?"

"I’m going away for a few days due to important business, so no one can protect you anymore like what happened earlier."

Arielle saw all the medicine given by Archie, and she became sad. Archie said there was a possibility that her other siblings would bully her again. If he gave this much medicine, then it meant they would beat Arielle more often.

She kept the medicines besides the salve the doctor gave her this afternoon. She received the same medicine to speed up the healing of her wounds. She was also surprised to find out that the doctor who treated her was a dispatch from Alexis.

Arielle smiled crookedly at Archie.

"Thank you very much, Brother! I’ll keep it well," said Arielle.

Archie was still expressionless. He watched Arielle from top to bottom.

"Do you want to know why you’ve been the main object of bullying by the other siblings?" Archie asked.

Arielle tilted her head, confused.

"Because you didn’t retaliate, Arielle. Weak people tend to flock to gather strength. And they will bully someone to feel better. To feel that they are stronger than the weak."

Archie turned and walked away. But before he left Arielle’s room, he spoke again.

"So, it would be better if you fought them."

"But if I fight, they will punish me even more."

Archie shook his head disapprovingly. "Then you need to punish them even harder," he said before leaving Arielle’s room.

Archie put on his coat and called a guard to get his horse ready. He would go to the border area to meet someone there and then spend some time in the harbor.

From the corner of his eye, he could see Alexis, who had just returned from the library, but he pretended not to see his brother.

"He’s leaving tonight?" murmured Alexis, who saw Archie’s departure.

Alexis immediately called his assistant. "Send someone to follow the kid. And don’t let Archie know he’s being followed," he ordered.

"Very well, Your Highness. I will do it soon."

Alexis closed his book and left the palace grounds to head for his room. Archie... it felt like the boy had become a little different, and Alexis didn’t like it.
