Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 193: Ronan Is Looking For Arielle With Lazarus
Priest Elis’ words made William and Lazarus breathe a sigh of relief. William had expected that Priest Elis wouldn’t be able to lie. At least with Lazarus initiating, Priest Elis’ confirmation should have been quite helpful.
"Then where is Arielle now?’ Ronan asked Priest Elis.
Again Priest Elis just smiled, and Lazarus answered on his behalf. "The princess went out of the palace a while ago."
"What are you saying!?" asked Ronan in disbelief.
William glanced at Lazarus, hoping the man would not turn nervous. Maybe if it was him in Lazarus’s shoes, William would immediately lower his head and reveal the true story. He had a lot of respect for Arielle. But he wasn’t crazy to have Ronan beat him on the spot.
Priest Elis touched Ronan’s hand, which already grabbed Lazarus’ collar.
"Your Majesty. Princess Arielle only took the things she bought yesterday. She was accompanied by Lucas and some of the guards. I saw it myself," said Priest Elis making Ronan take his hand off Lazarus’ collar.
Ronan glared at Lazarus. "Didn’t you guys go out to buy painting equipment yesterday?" asked Ronan suspiciously.
"Right. But the stock of paint that Princess Arielle was looking for had run out. It just came today, that’s why I heard they were going to take it," Lazarus answered while holding his neck, which was almost choking just now.
"And you let Lucas take Arielle?"
"No-no. I clearly heard that Princess Arielle forced Lucas to go with her. Lucas had refused several times. He even suggested asking your permission first, but Princess Arielle said that she didn’t want to disturb your sleep," Lazarus replied.
He made William cheer in his heart. He shook his head in disbelief. He admitted that Lazarus’ mouth was very venomous. But he didn’t expect that he could lie so smoothly under Ronan’s emotional pressure.
Ronan watched Lazarus closely. Priest Elis again mediate the atmosphere.
"Your Majesty, if you are so worried about Princess Arielle, why not just follow her? I think hearing the reason from Princess Arielle directly is something wise. Because releasing anger towards someone who doesn’t know anything is just a waste of time and harms others," Priest Elis said to him tenderly.
Ronan just listened and then pulled Lazarus by the collar to come with him.
"You will accompany me to find Arielle. If I don’t find Arielle there, I will kill you," the man threatened, making Lazarus swallow his saliva with difficulty. He glanced back at where William and Priest Elis were. The two men looked at him with pity.
"Help me," said Lazarus quietly, but William just shrugged his shoulders. He watched Lazarus go, dragged away by the king from the Cathedral.

Ronan rode with Lazarus towards the capital city square. They stopped at the same shop, but there was a closed sign on it.
"You said Arielle was here? Then why is the shop closed?" Ronan growled. He gritted his teeth in anger as he pulled his horse to face Lazarus.
"I really don’t know anything, but you heard what Priest Elis said, right? M-maybe this shop is closed, but Lucas and Princess Arielle made an appointment beforehand to pick up the items they ordered yesterday."
Lazarus’ explanation was completely ignored by the man.
"You said maybe? Didn’t you go with them yesterday? Why are you not sure about your answer just now? You’re hiding something, Lazarus?"
Lazarus shook his head quickly. "No, Ronan. I’ll tell you the truth. I did accompany Princess Arielle here yesterday, but I’m not on guard here because I have other business."
"What business made you leave Arielle alone?"
"Not alone, Ronan. There’s still Lucas, and some of the other guards," answered Lazarus, trying to calm Ronan’s growing anger.
"So, before we came here. We stopped by a jewelry store to pick up Lucas’ package. Princess Arielle and I went inside. At the jewelry shop over there, I noticed Princess Arielle was looking at a jewelry set, and I offered to buy it for her, but she refused. Therefore, I returned them to the shop to ask the shop owner to keep the jewelry. I intend to tell you to buy them for Princess Arielle."
"I told you, I will kill you if you lie, Lazarus," Ronan threatened Lazarus.
The king touched his sword to show his seriousness, and Lazarus immediately turned away.
"Give me one last chance. Let’s go to the jewelry store. If I lie to you this time, you can kill me there..."
’At least I can die in a shiny place’, Lazarus thought.
Ronan didn’t protest much. He wanted to find Arielle’s whereabouts but his anger for Lazarus was greater. He left with the man and arrived at a fairly large jewelry store.
Lazarus’ presence was greeted by a man. He was the owner of the jewelry shop as well as the craftsman who made the items sold there. He greeted Lazarus because he recognized the man. But the presence of Ronan made his tongue numb.
The man then immediately lowered his head to welcome Ronan’s presence.
"W-welcome, Your Majesty the King," the man greeted nervously.
"Sir, could you show me the jewelry set I asked you to keep yesterday?" asked Lazarus, who told the man to hurry to his feet. His life was at stake. Ronan was still faithfully holding the tip of his sword, ready to slash Lazarus if the man was caught lying.
The man who owned the shop ran quickly into the room where he kept some of the other jewelry. He brought out a jewelry box and showed it to Ronan. The king’s eyes fell on a pair of earrings in the shape of a drop of water with a deep red color. Likewise, the necklace was made of gold.
"Princess Arielle looked at this jewel for a long time yesterday. She didn’t say anything, but I knew right away that the red diamond reminded Princess Arielle of you, Ronan."
Ronan closed the jewelry box again and looked at the shop owner, who immediately lowered his head, not daring to look at the king.
