Gu Qibao was even more embarrassed now, saying animatedly, "Oh, come on, it doesn’t matter when I took it, can’t you just come with me to get another?"

"Are you insane!" exclaimed Nangong Ran, glaring at her, "Didn’t you just eat not long ago? Eating again? Do you want to die!"

"Can’t I take it?" Gu Qibao furrowed her brows, "So, what should I do?"

"Of course, you can’t," replied Nangong Ran, "The thing can’t be taken twice a month, don’t worry, it’s not that easy to get pregnant. Think about how many people want to but can’t. You’re not that unlucky. Besides, isn’t your period due in a couple of days?"

Gu Qibao’s menstrual cycle was similar to that of Nangong Ran’s, so Nangong Ran knew when it was supposed to arrive.

"Yeah," Gu Qibao frowned, suddenly becoming nervous, and held Nangong Ran’s hand tightly, "What if I am feeling anxious?"

She would never forgive Di Mingjue if she was really pregnant, not even if she were to die!

"Don’t worry, it’s really not that easy," Nangong Ran quickly reassured her, "After all, didn’t you take the contraceptive pill? You’ll be fine."

Feeling helpless, Gu Qibao could only nod, although she was still a bit skeptical about Nangong Ran, as he was known to be a bit of a joker.

But what could she do, even if she didn’t trust him? Taking the contraceptive pill twice a month was said to be highly risky. Now all she could do was pray that she wouldn’t be that unlucky.

While they were chatting on the balcony, Bo Chenghe ran over and asked Gu Qibao, "Qibao, what’s going on between you and Di Mingjue now? Are you dating?"

Looking at his serious expression, Gu Qibao nodded, "It seems we are."

"What do you mean by ’seems to be’?" Bo Chenghe widened his eyes, "Are you or are you not?"

"I don’t know." Gu Qibao scratched her head, "He said he wants to marry me, I suggested we date first, but I’m not sure if he agrees."

Marrying already? Bo Chenghe frowned, the matter seemed to be getting more complicated.

"Do you like him?" Bo Chenghe asked again.

"I don’t think so." Gu Qibao pouted and shook her head, how could she possibly like such a terrible guy? However, did her feelings even matter?

"Then, does he like you?" Bo Chenghe continued.

"No, he doesn’t." Gu Qibao shook her head again, he probably just wanted to be with her because they had slept together.

Bo Chenghe held his forehead, barely holding back his comment, "What are you guys even doing? You don’t like him, he doesn’t like you, and yet, you’re dating and planning to get married?"

Gu Qibao frowned, indeed, they didn’t like each other, but hadn’t they already slept together? So, was this like a trial run?

Anyway, whether it was a trial or not, it seemed Di Mingjue had no intention of letting her go.

Nangong Ran casually commented while lounging, "My analysis is that people like Di Mingjue are typically like this – if you like me, you’re mine, if you don’t like me, you’re still mine. As long as I like you, you have to be mine. So in my opinion, Di Mingjue likes Gu Xiaoqi, while Gu Xiaoqi doesn’t like Di Mingjue."

"Who told you he likes me?" Gu Qibao shot Nangong Ran a disdainful look, "Stop talking nonsense."

How could he possibly like her? If he did, could his attitude towards her be so terrible? He was just someone with an extremely possessive personality.
