Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 591: Arlo Seys’s Indifference
The people around all watched Ariel Morris cry and shout, discussing among themselves. Ariel stood on the street, unabashedly crying her heart out.
"Miss, there’s nothing wrong with a breakup. Isn’t there always another guy somewhere in the world? Don’t be sad!"
"Wow, there’re still such devoted girls these days. I wonder if my girlfriend would cry this hard if I disappeared one day?!"
"Girl, did you meet a jerk? Be more cautious. If he doesn’t want you, just find someone else!"
"Crying like this over someone who abandoned you is really not worth it! There are plenty of good men out there! Girl, don’t cry anymore!"
The people around tried to console Ariel, who was sobbing uncontrollably, her shoulders shaking with heartbreaking distress.
Just then, a tall figure parted the crowd and walked straight up to Ariel, his expression cold and indifferent.
"Arlo—" Ariel’s cries abruptly stopped when she saw the figure approaching her, but the tears in her eyes continued to flow.
Arlo Seys took Ariel’s hand without saying a word, leading her out of the crowd towards his car parked by the roadside.
Arlo opened the passenger door and said in a cold tone, "Get in."
Ariel saw the displeasure in his expression and dared not speak, obediently getting into the car, docile and submissive.
Arlo walked around to the driver’s seat, got in, started the car, and hit the gas pedal, the entire action swift and decisive, his face remaining icy and unchanged.
The atmosphere inside the car was heavy and oppressive. Ariel sat in the passenger seat, glancing at Arlo’s expression from the corner of her eye. Seeing the indifference between his brows, Ariel didn’t dare to breathe loudly, her fingers tightly clenched in her palm.
Arlo was really angry. What should she do? Would he really not forgive her deception?
Ariel’s heart was a mess, deeply uneasy.
In the driver’s seat, Arlo stared coldly ahead, seemingly focused on driving, yet the corner of his eye couldn’t help drifting towards her, taking in every expression she made.
His grip on the steering wheel tightened, rigid and cold.
Remembering how earlier, while driving back to Royal View City, stopped at a red light, he had heard her familiar voice from the street beside, crying and calling his name, so helpless and frightened. It had instantly wrenched his heart with pain.
So, his gaze darkened, and he immediately pulled over the car illegally by the roadside, heading towards the sound surrounded by people.
Her crying words, every single one, struck his heart with clarity, each word vicious as if intending to take his life by piercing his soul.
She said, Arlo, can you please not abandon me.
She said, Arlo, what will I do if you don’t want me.
He stood outside the circle of people, listening to these words, his heart sinking like a weight of a thousand pounds. He pressed his thin lips together, unable to resist anymore, parting the crowd and directly taking her hand back to the car.
They hadn’t exchanged a word in the car. It was so quiet they could hear each other’s breathing, Ariel turned her head to look out the window, while Arlo’s cold demeanor made her heartache.
An hour later, when they arrived at Royal View City, the sun had already set, and night was beginning to fall.
Arlo parked the car, turned off the ignition, and with a cold face, pushed open the car door and got out.
Ariel immediately, sensibly got out of the car herself, quietly and obediently.
They entered the house.
Arlo, with his long legs, went straight upstairs.
Ariel pressed her lips together, watching Arlo’s cold back, and followed him upstairs.
