Chapter 564: Chapter 564: The Crimson Rose

Selah Sutton stood up and walked towards Dawn Sutherland, her tone carrying a warning, her eyes cold and sharp: "Dawn, don’t overestimate yourself by coveting things that aren’t yours! Whether it’s the Sutherland Clan or----" Selah glared at Dawn, speaking coldly: "Are you getting too close to Daisy? Dawn, she’s about to become your sister-in-law! Don’t think you are truly the second young master of the Sutherland Family! You don’t have the right to take Aidan’s things!"

"I’ve never wanted anything from the Sutherland Family," Dawn replied calmly, continuing to walk outside.

"Daisy Grant is your sister-in-law! Dawn, do you understand shame?! You’re uncle and niece-in-law!" Selah shouted from behind.

Dawn stopped but didn’t turn back, his voice still calm: "Daisy and I are friends, there’s nothing you’re imagining, she’s Aidan’s fiancée. Are you saying this because you think Aidan can’t compare to me, is that it? Aunt Selah, you’re worrying too much."

Dawn didn’t pause again, grabbing his suitcase and continuing to walk outside.

Selah’s brow furrowed slightly as she watched Dawn’s tall and indifferent figure, her gaze deepening.

Really, am I overthinking? Maybe that’s true, Aidan and Dawn—in terms of background, Aidan will inherit the Sutherland enterprise in the future. In terms of looks and abilities, Aidan doesn’t lag behind Dawn; even if Dawn has feelings for Daisy, the Grant Family wouldn’t choose Dawn, this illegitimate child!

Thinking like this, Selah’s heart instantly calmed, and she turned back to continue eating her breakfast.

When Dawn came out with his suitcase, he saw Daisy sitting in the driver’s seat, smiling brightly as she greeted him: "Morning, second brother."

"Morning." Dawn opened the trunk and placed his luggage inside.

Daisy pushed open the car door and got out, "Second brother, you drive. I didn’t sleep well last night, so it’ll be safer with you driving."

"Alright." Dawn smiled gently and got into the driver’s seat.

Daisy walked to the passenger seat, picked up the bouquet placed there, and handed it cheerfully to Dawn in the driver’s seat, "Second brother, I wish you happiness in your new life, success in your career, and a lifetime of joy."

Dawn turned his head, about to say thank you, but when his gaze fell on the bouquet Daisy gave him, he paused, and the words froze in his mouth.

Roses—deep red roses.

Dawn’s eyes deepened as he looked at Daisy’s warm smile, yet there was contemplation in his eyes, "Daisy, you’re giving me deep red roses?"

Daisy nodded, her bright eyes looking at Dawn, her expression radiant and beautiful, "Yes, when I returned to the country, second brother gave me deep red roses. Today, I saw them when passing a flower shop, so I bought a bouquet to congratulate you on moving to your new home."

She found it quite difficult choosing flowers early in the morning at the flower shop, wanting to give second brother red roses because roses symbolize love.

But she’s a girl, and considering her relationship with second brother as uncle and niece-in-law, she couldn’t truly give roses.

Her eyes brightened when she caught sight of the roses in the flower shop, immediately asking the shopkeeper for them, simply because second brother had once gifted her these flowers.

Dawn’s gaze momentarily deepened, and after hesitating for several seconds, he gave Daisy a gentle smile, kindly saying: "Thank you, Daisy. Hold it for me; I’ll take it with me into the house after we get out."

"Okay." Daisy smiled softly, lowered her head to smell the flowers in her hands, her smile beautifully radiant, "Second brother, the fragrance of rose flowers is truly pleasant, no wonder you gave me roses back then."

Dawn’s hand gripping the steering wheel paused for a moment, then he smiled faintly, his gaze focused ahead as he drove without replying.
