Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming!-Chapter 269: Mrs. Seys, Have You No Shame?
Ariel Morris sighed with emotion.
Beside her, Arlo Seys smiled, "Mrs. Seys, on our wedding day, what are you sighing about!"
Ariel’s cheeks flushed, "What wedding day? You haven’t proposed to me yet!"
Arlo gave a slight smile, "Eight years ago, you accepted my token of love, and now we have our marriage certificate; do you still want to back out?"
Ariel turned her head to look at Arlo, "Eight years ago, when did I accept your token of love?"
Arlo’s gaze fell on Ariel’s necklace, "The EX necklace was my token of love to you. I claimed you eight years ago."
"...Alright," Ariel lowered her eyes with a soft laugh, her face brimming with happiness.
The two got into the car, and Arlo started the engine heading towards Era Tower.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Ariel held onto the two red booklets, giggling foolishly, "I never thought we’d actually get our certificate. Our photo really is in these booklets."
Arlo chuckled teasingly, "Back in school, you said if we took a photo together, my looks wouldn’t match yours. You even said you’d only appear with my photo on these booklets. Now your wish is fulfilled, take a look at the photo, how does it rate?"
Ariel opened the marriage certificate. In the formal photo, she and Arlo were close together, her eyes smiling with deep dimples. While Arlo’s expression was cool, on closer look, there was a gentle twinkle in his eyes.
Ariel shamelessly appraised the photo, "I think I’m slightly better."
"...." Arlo glanced at her, "Mrs. Seys, are you shameless now?"
"Do you think I’d catch the cold aloof male god otherwise?" Ariel smiled with a mischievous glint.
"Mrs. Seys, you win." Arlo laughed, his eyes filled with affection and tenderness.
"Admit it, Mr. Seys."
The sweet interaction between the two filled the entire car with warmth and happiness.
----
On the weekend, Daisy Grant received a call from Mother Sutherland, her future mother-in-law, inviting her to a meal at their home.
She arrived early at the Sutherland Mansion, a place steeped in history. It was said that the Sutherland Family had moved here during the Republic of China era and had lived here for several generations.
She walked lightly behind the Sutherland’s housekeeper, her lips carrying a smile, though there was a hint of gloom in her eyes.
As she approached the house, she glanced up, intending to take a look at the building she hadn’t seen for a long time, but her gaze was drawn to the figure seated in front of the second-floor window.
Upstairs, Dawn Sutherland sat leisurely in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, holding a laptop, his expression focused, his slender fingers flying over the keyboard. The sunlight bathed him, as if adding a layer of brilliance to him, making his gentle features even more tender, causing her heart to race.
She had never seen him work so seriously before. Daisy was captivated, standing still with a faint smile on her lips.
Perhaps sensing her gaze, Dawn suddenly looked downstairs, catching sight of Daisy, her fair skin illuminated by the sun seemed to glow. Her chestnut curls were tied high at the back of her head, revealing a delicate and elegant face. Her white knee-length dress fluttered in the wind, exuding a dynamic beauty.
The familiar sight prompted memories of elementary and middle school, where she would dress like this, stand against the wind, and mischievously call out to him as "Second Brother."
Dawn’s gaze briefly rested on her before he nodded slightly, offering a polite smile, then returned his attention to the computer.
Daisy’s eyes, filled with laughter and playfulness, turned somber, yet her gaze remained fixed, unable to look away from the second-floor window.
