Chapter 80: Audition

The first scene of the commercial shoot was swiftly completed, so the photography team immediately reassembled at the next location while the duo went to get changed.

The second scene was of the couple running towards the chapel and this time, Yvette gets to wear a wedding dress and Zeke, a white custom-made tuxedo.

Inside the changing room, with the assistance of the makeup artist and Leila , Yvette immediately got changed.

She was donning a stunning mermaid floor length, strapless gown made of ivory silk.

The fitted, mermaid-style bodice featuring a delicate lace embroidery and a sweetheart neckline. The full, flowing skirt falls in soft folds to the floor, with a dramatic train trailing behind.

A delicate veil frames her oval shaped face, adding a touch of romance and innocence to the overall look.

"You are so beautiful". Leila gushed, examining Yvette who stood before the full length mirror, looking so much like a lovely bride with a bashful expression.

"I agree. The wedding dress is quite normal, but the person wearing it is gorgeous which makes it more outstanding" . Even the makeup artist couldn’t help but compliment her.

After helping her position the dramatic hem of her dress neatly, the makeup artist left the room leaving the two ladies to themselves.

"I know what you’re doing". Leila huddled closer with a smile, a hands on her chin and she whispered in Yvette’s ears.

"And I can see you’re making great use of this opportunity. Taking advantage of work for personal gains and making up for what you’ve missed with your dearest husband. I’m right. Aren’t I?".

Yvette smiled but didn’t deny. " You caught me already".

"You’re so lucky, the first time you’re doing bridal fashion show, you’re pairing with your man ". Leila gushed.

Yvette took a final glance at herself in the mirror, the jelweries and accessories and her inky black hair which was held up by a crystal tiara and a long veil which flowed down her back.

She walked out of the changing room with this look as everyone admired her in amazement.

Zeke who had already finished changing was standing not too far away decked in a classic, white peak lapel style, perfectly custom-made to fit his frame.

The single breasted jacket features a subtle sheen, with a matching polka dotted bow tie and cummerbund adding a touch of sophistication and giving him a debonair, wedding day look .

He couldn’t help but feel his eyes were glued to her body, no matter how many image popped up in his head when he imagined how she’ll look, he never expected it , he’d never imagined she’ll be so breathtaking in real life and he had to use all his will to stop himself from pulling her into his embrace.

Mr Logan who was ever the spot, noticed their expression and lowered his head without saying a word, giving them some moments more.

"Okay, it’s time for the second scene". Mr Rogers announced and the couple immediately put away all feeling upon his order and slowly began .

In the scene, the duo were an engaged couple rushing to get married and were thus running hands in hands and then there was a peck at the end after they sat before the flowing beach after which was the wedding shot.

The duo began and the director wasn’t left out in capturing the natural, flawless and emotion stirring moment.

The scene began with the couple running and then they ended up sitting on a wooden bridge with a lush green forest in the distance. The duo gave a loving view with their back to the camera as they enjoyed the scenery.

Zeke’s left hand was holding tightly onto Yvette’s right hand, displaying the delicate wedding rings to the camera and at that moment, Yvette leaned over and placed a head in Zeke’s shoulder with a calm and peaceful stance. . .

"Terrific, terrific. This is absolutely perfect. It’s just too beautiful". The director praised excitedly as he declared an end to the scene.

He looked at everyone else and they were still immersed in the feelings between the couple as they tried to savor the moment...

And it wasn’t until the moment the two moved away from each other that everyone finally snapped out of their daze; it was only a commercial and yet this breathtaking, then they couldn’t wait until it was realeased, everyone would be blown up.

Everyone immediately applauded from their hearts. Some even screamed in excitement and the duo returned to themselves creating the distinct able distance once again amidst them.

"That was so amazing Yvette. And of course, we must also thank you CEO Lorenzo for making a guest appearance. Everything was perfect all thanks to your aid". Mr Rogers exclaimed cheerfully.

Zeke nodded with a smile as he glanced at Yvette. "I’m glad to have helped."

"You’ve done us a huge favor! And honestly, we are so thankful to you, CEO Lorenzo". Mr Logan quickly bowed to show his gratefulness.

"Remember what you promised about keeping my identity a secret also." Zeke nodded and replied.

"Don’t worry, it will not be an issue," . Mr Logan nodded.

"If you are busy you should hurry back to the office since we’re done". Yvette turned to Zeke and suggested.

Zeke didn’t say anything but simply nodded after casting a meaningful glance at her.

The garage was dimly lit, the overhead light casting a faint glow over the sleek black car parked at the far end.

Yvette, now donning a casual dress walked briskly across the space towards the car with Leila by her side.

"Then I’ll get going and take the car" . Leila said upon noticing the black car still parked further away in the garage.

Yvette merely smiled and approached the car, her heels clicking again the cement floor, the sound echoing in the quiet.

"Hello". She smiled as she opened the car door revealing Zeke who was scrolling through his phone idly.

Zeke looked up and as soon as he saw her , his face broke into a wide smile.

" Here comes the bride". Zeke murmured with a smile as he stepped out of the car, leaving the door ajar.

He crossed the short distance to her, wrapping his arms around her waist. "I wanted to tell you earlier that you look absolutely breathtaking. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone wear a wedding dress quite like you do but I was just afraid I might with my actions and blow up the cover".

Yvette blushed, pressing her face against his chest. "Flattery will get you everywhere". She teased, her voice muffled. Then she tilted her head back to look at him. "You looked pretty dashing yourself earlier, the best groom ever seen in history. Did you notice how the assistant director, Ms Brown was staring at you earlier, she almost had a nosebleed ". Yvette grinned as she recounted the scene from earlier.

He chuckled softly, brushing a loose strand of hair from her face. "Well, I only have eyes for my woman".

Yvette smiled and leaned up to kiss him lightly on the cheeks but Zeke however reciprocated, turning the slight peck into an intimate exchange of affection.

After a moment, he pulled back his expression shifting to something more thoughtful. "I was thinking,". He began, his tone casual but laced with purpose, "How about joining me for dinner tonight? Remember my friend, the screenwriter I told you about earlier, the writer if the script you chooses, he invited me for dinner and I was thinking you can take it as an audition.

Yvette raised an eyebrow in surprise. "An audition?" she echoed for confirmation and Zeke nodded positively.

"Then isn’t this considered as taking shortcuts, taking previledges of our relationship ". She giggled.

"Nope, since you’re going to have the audition yourself. You can just consider this a . . . A chance". Zeke flickered her forehead playfully.

"Yes boss". She bowed playfully. "I shall not let this chance go to waste then , I promise to bring the role back home".

"Sure". He nodded and helped her into the car before driving off towards their location, Mr Dan’s house, a sprawling estate perched on a quiet hill.

The driveway was lined with neatly trimmed hedges, and the house itself was a blend of modern architecture and timeless charm, illuminated warmly against the night sky.

The screenwriter, Mr Dan’s greeted them at the door, a genial man in his late 40s with an easy smile and sharp eyes.

He exchanged pleasantries and a hearty shake with Zeke who then gestured to her.

"Dan, this is my wife and remember I told you she’s an actress. So it happens she’s interested in your script and would like to audition". Zeke introduced, pride evident in his tone.

Mr Dan turned to her, his gaze accessing but kind. "My pleasure meeting you, I mean it’s nice to finally have a face to put on the name in my mind". He chuckled as he extended a hand.

"But the role’s a bit of a challenge, with hard character. But looking at you..." He hesitated, then smiled wryly. "You look like an angel. Can you pull off as a male?"
