I might have never had said this before but Ezekiel Lorenzo, you’re the only right in my life and even in the next lifetimes to come. I want to do forever with you". Yvette completed amidst the cheers and screams, before leaning forward to peck the stunned Zeke’s lips.
"Indeed, a married daughter is a spilled water . Of course, only he matters, nobody else does". Angelo complained .
The warm summer evening sun had dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the quiet campsite.
The air was alive with the savory aromas of the newly roasted sizzling barbecue and the sound of laughter.
"Shall we now continue, ladies and gentlemens?". Angelo asked merrily as he wioed his hands with a clean napkin as he took his seat and the others all cheered excitedly in anticipation and he eagerly grasped the bottle before giving it a vigorous spin, the glass rotating rapidly as the group watched with bated breath.
And finally, the bottle slowed , teetered and finally came to a stop, pointing directly at Eriq, the most quiet member of the night.
"So, it’s our popular playboy turn". Angelo exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with mischief and Eriq glowered at him warningly.
"So, have you ever been in love or experienced love ?". Angelo asked , chuckling at Eriq’s expression.
Eriq face turned beet red before he then answered. "The answer is obviously no ". He shrugged his shoulder nonchalantly. "Odiette already dwelled on this earlier so no more questions please".
"Yeah, I didn’t expect much from you rather than changing ladies everyday". Angelo chuckled playfully and everyone roared in laughter.
"I saw what you did there darling". Eriq also clapped along mischeviously. "Just you wait and see. I don’t even know why your questions is all about relationship and the sort when you’re not even in a relationship yourself ".
"That’s what makes it fun, my love. Solace for my soul I’ll say". Angelo responded and everyone burst into any round of intense laughter.
Angelo grabbed the bottle again and spined and this time , it landed directly upon Zeke for the first time in the evening since this game began.
"So, do you have a crush or love someone who’s here in our midst?". Angelo asked.
"That’s unjust". Eriq cried before Zeke could even reply. "When will you ever be straight and just".
"Easy there darling". Angelo laughed. "A step at a time ". He said to Eriq and then turned to Zeke questioningly.
"Everyone already knows my answer, it’s a YES". Zeke replied before scooping the blushing Yvette in his embrace.
"Enough of the public display of affection please. I’ve had enough all evening". Odiette grumbled and they all laughed.
"I second that, please". Angelo supported Odiette words immediately and then spined the bottle which eventually landed before Zeke again.
"So . ." Angelo clapped slowly, his eyes filled with mischevious intents . "Zeke, have you ever been in love or let me say how long haev you been in love, who’s your first love and . . Just answer those".
"Okay". Zeke cleared his throat , his ears tinged pink as he answered. "Yes, surely I’ve been in love and I have to say I am lucky to eventually get her, to eventually get to spend the rest of my life with her after all the unending uncertainties . And my first love, she’s right here with us , my dearest Yvie. My first and last, till death do part us . ."
"We just agreed that we’ve had enough of public display of affection, dude". Angelo spat out bitterly, cutting his words short.
"Single people are always angered even with the slightest move, touch or word". Zeke taunted and laughed.
"It’ll be better if you move fast and get someone quickly. You’re older than waiting for the Miss right dude, or you’ll have my childrens calling you . ."
Yvette added but was interrupted by Angelo. "Yeah, I’ve heared earful this evening".
"All in one, just like me I’ve thought of grabbing the Mr wrong and dragging him to the right instead of waiting forever or how’s it said so you should let the same apply to you". Odiette laughed.
"You all are after my life, right?". Angelo chuckled and spined the bottle, more vigorously, with much more force than intended this time around.
The bottle spinned and spined and spined and finally, it landed right before Angelo himself and everyone burst into laughter.
"Touchwood". Eriq laughed. "Guys, let me ". He added and after a while of argument, they agreed to let Eriq take Angelo’s position this time.
"Time for payback sweetie". Eriq laughed. "So , my dearest sweetheart, please tell us about your love life and don’t tell me know cause I know Mabel still certainly exist in your heart or else you still won’t be stuck in country P when you have nothing in particular doing there, when you could come right back home to your families. You’re still being stuck onto her, you’re unable to move on , right?".
"What". Olivia exclaimed, her mouth wide open. "Our dearest Angelo had such history?".
"I thought he was anti love or something like that". Leila added curiously.
"Of course. We were in college back then in country P but I shouldn’t steal my dearest shine. Should I?".
"I’m all ears, dude c’mon out with it ". Yvette said after settling her comfortably on the lush carpet and grabbing a cushion.
"We all are ready". Knox clapped his hands excitedly.
"Should I help you begin dear?". Zeke chuckled and asked when Angelo didn’t say anything. "So, it all began a long time ago.. ."
"You bastard". Angelo roared angrily as he threw Knox a nearby cushion. Glancing at Zeke, he then scoffed. "Are we exposing each other’s dark secrets now , guys?".
"C’mon, we’re all waiting to hear your love story". Odiette urged him and finally, Angelo cleared his throat and began after a while of fiddling with his hands and collecting his thoughts.
"So, it all began a long time ago when we all went to country P to study. I met this girl and it was love at first sight, she was also in my department but she was so meek, always easygoing or what you would call a nerd . . ."
