Love at First Sight? Mr. Harrison Has Been Scheming All Along-Chapter 100: "I’m younger than him, I guarantee I’ll satisfy you more.
The video ended abruptly.
The screen froze on the frame of Nadia Willow standing on her toes to kiss Sean Harrison.
Miles Harrison stared intently at Rory Linden’s face, waiting for a reaction.
But Rory felt surprisingly calm.
She looked up at Miles Harrison, her expression placid as she asked, "Young Master Harrison, when you had dinner with Miss Willow the other day, you weren’t planning this, were you?"
"No way!"
Miles Harrison was completely taken aback.
When they were together before, he had been intimate with other women.
Naturally, a few of those indiscreet women had sent videos of their intimate moments to Rory Linden.
Every time, Rory would throw a fit.
She would confront him with the video and demand to know what was going on.
She would demand an explanation.
But now, seeing this video, Rory’s expression hadn’t changed one bit!
"My mom arranged that dinner with Nadia Willow! She wants Nadia to work at my company!" Miles Harrison explained, then immediately asked, "Rory, aren’t you angry?"
"Why would I be angry?"
Rory Linden looked baffled.
Miles Harrison looked as if he’d found some proof. "Rory, you and my uncle are faking it, right?"
Rory Linden was even more confused.
She had no idea why he was still so insistent on this.
"Back then, whenever you got those videos of me, you always confronted me about them. But now, with a video showing the same thing, you don’t care at all. Doesn’t that prove you don’t actually care about my uncle?"
Miles Harrison’s voice changed as he spoke.
But Rory Linden’s attitude was completely different from his.
She looked down, played the video again, and then looked up at him. "This video is edited, isn’t it? If I’m not mistaken, just one more second would show a completely different story."
"This is how it was sent to me. Besides, isn’t that just your speculation?" Miles Harrison stuck to his script. "My uncle only got with you because you look like Nadia Willow in the first place."
Rory Linden pushed the phone back toward him and said:
"Young Master Harrison, I don’t need anyone else to tell me what kind of person my boyfriend is."
A brief silence fell over the private room.
Miles Harrison had imagined many ways she might react to seeing this video.
She might call Sean Harrison on the spot.
She might loudly accuse him of the video being fake.
He never expected Rory Linden to be so calm!
"Rory, you trust him that much?!"
Miles Harrison found it unbelievable.
"Yes."
As Rory Linden said the word, she realized she wasn’t the least bit flustered.
She trusted Sean Harrison from the bottom of her heart.
Miles Harrison still didn’t believe it. "Rory, you can’t fool yourself. You got so worked up over the videos and recordings of me back then, but you have no reaction to this video of him. Doesn’t that prove you cared about me then, and you don’t care about him now?"
"Young Master Harrison, I trust him. As for you..." Rory Linden looked coldly at the man across from her. "You are completely unworthy of that trust."
At this point, Rory Linden didn’t even care if he gave her the phone number anymore.
"Young Master Harrison, think about all the things you’ve done. How could I possibly believe you?"
"Am I supposed to believe you spent the night in a room with a woman and nothing happened?"
"Or that all the lipstick marks on your chest were just ’accidental smudges’?"
"Or that your hand just ’slipped’ onto that woman’s breast and then ’accidentally’ groped her repeatedly?!"
Word by word.
These were all things Rory Linden had silently endured over the years.
Unless she was a complete fool, she knew exactly what had really happened.
"My uncle, he..."
"I’m finished eating."
Rory Linden didn’t want to hear Miles Harrison slander Sean Harrison.
A man whose romantic life was a complete mess had no right to talk about Sean Harrison.
In truth, Miles Harrison had lost his appetite as well.
He’d prepared a trump card, but it had turned into a boomerang.
It had come right back and hit him.
But he couldn’t refute anything Rory Linden had said.
He knew perfectly well how many shitty things he’d done during the four years they were dating.
It wasn’t that he had no sex drive; he just hadn’t been interested in Rory Linden back then.
He used to think she was a boring and headstrong woman.
’She probably wouldn’t even make a sound in bed.’
’It’d be like sleeping with a corpse.’
’Let alone trying anything kinky.’
Thinking back on it now, so what if he’d slept with those women and gotten his rocks off? 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
He had to spend the rest of his life with someone.
And Rory Linden was the most suitable one.
Rory Linden picked up her bag, stood up, and gave a slight bow. "Young Master Harrison, I apologize for saying so many things that upset you today. If, because of all this, you’re unwilling to give me Auntie Vincent’s number, then so be it."
After speaking, she turned and walked out.
"Rory!"
Miles Harrison quickly chased after her.
Rory Linden stood in the restaurant lobby, pulling out her phone to call a rideshare.
She looked up and realized it had started raining at some point.
The rideshare app showed she was in a queue.
After paying the bill, Miles Harrison followed her out and offered, "Let me give you a ride home."
"No, thanks. I’ve already got a car."
Rory Linden was lying.
Her rideshare app still showed her in a queue, with over thirty passengers ahead of her.
The rain outside was coming down hard and fast, a continuous, roaring downpour.
Miles Harrison asked tentatively, "You’re not going to call my uncle?"
Rory Linden: "He’s busy. I can just get a cab myself."
Before dinner, Sean Harrison had offered to pick her up when she was done.
Rory Linden had refused.
Miles Harrison’s gaze fell on her neck.
Even after so many days, a very faint trace of the previous hickey remained.
If you looked closely, you could still spot it.
Staring intently at that faint mark, Miles Harrison spoke as if possessed:
"Rory, did sleeping with my uncle change your attitude? Why don’t you try it with me? I’m younger than him. I guarantee I’ll satisfy you more."
Rory Linden had been looking down at her phone, checking her place in the rideshare queue.
When she registered what the man was saying, she couldn’t hide the astonishment on her face.
Before she could say anything...
An arm wrapped around her from behind, pulling her in another direction as a familiar scent filled her senses.
"Uncle?!"
Miles Harrison froze.
He had been so focused on the hickey on Rory Linden’s neck that he hadn’t even noticed when Sean Harrison arrived!
Sean Harrison draped his arm over Rory’s shoulder and asked, "Miles, since you know you’re still young, you should try out a few more things. Starting today, your company will no longer be involved in any of the Harrison Group’s head office business."
Miles Harrison was stunned. He immediately shot back, "On what grounds!"
Sean Harrison lowered his gaze and said only three words: "Because you’re young."
