Love Across the Light Years -The Devil CEO Indulges My Lies.-Chapter 63: Do you think he has suddenly fallen for her?
Placing his hands over his hips, Karl looked at his brothers.
"Of course, favorite," he said with a smug face. "Didn’t you just see? An offense that would have cost someone else their life; I was only charged with a six-month allowance cut. If I weren’t his favorite, would I have been let off the hook so easily?"
Jasper rolled his eyes.
And Felix couldn’t help but shake his head at his younger brother’s delusion.
"What? You don’t believe me?" Karl asked when noticed their expressions.
Felix placed a hand on his shoulder and patted it gently.
"Now even I think we have more important matters to focus on," he said calmly. "Let’s decide this another time. Okay?"
Karl understood the underlying meaning of his words and opened his mouth to argue.
But once again, he found himself at the loss for words.
"Fine. Let’s focus on what’s important," he said at last.
Then crossing his arm over his chest, he added stubbornly, "That woman cannot be out sister-in-law. I refuse to accept it."
Felix and Jasper both sighed before turning on their heels to leave.
Seeing this, Karl quickly raised a hand to stop them. "Hey! Where are you guys going? Weren’t we supposed to discuss what’s important?"
"What’s there to discuss?" Jasper said, pausing before glancing back over his shoulder. "If Big Brother has decided something, we’ll agree to it."
"You ..." Karl nearly panicked. "How can you even say that? That woman ... we don’t even know her!"
Felix turned around.
And for a moment, Karl thought his brother would understand at least a part of his concern.
Instead, Felix said calmly,
"We don’t know any woman well enough to consider making her our sister-in-law."
Karl opened his mouth to retort. But no words came out.
"Still ... that woman ..." he insisted weakly. "How can you trust her? What if yesterday wasn’t a coincidence at all? What if she approached Big Brother with a purpose?"
Felix paused at that, his brows furrowing slightly.
Seeing this, Karl felt a flicker of relief.
Internally, he praised himself.
If not for him, who would have made his brothers consider such a possibility?
However, just as he was congratulating himself, Jasper turned back from the other side and spoke.
"And even if she approached Big Brother with a purpose ... so what?"
Karl stared at him in disbelief.
Pointing a finger at him, he scolded, "How can you say that? That’s our Big Brother! How can we just watch someone try to harm him?"
"Harm?" Jasper repeated, almost amused. "Listen to yourself. Do you really think anyone is capable of harming Big Brother? The Dylan Warren?"
Karl frowned.
"Kiddo," Jasper continued calmly, "instead of worrying about things you shouldn’t, worry about something you actually should."
"What do you mean?"
Jasper gave him a wicked smile —one that only made Karl frown even more.
"Even if Big Brother let you off the hook today, he hasn’t changed the rules for you," Jasper said, slipping his hands into his pockets.
"With your six-month allowance cut, you won’t just lose financial support. You also won’t be able to use any of the Warren family’s privileges for free."
"And as far as I know you," he added dryly, seemingly enjoying it, "even after getting a million every month, you probably don’t even have enough savings to survive."
Jasper knew his brother too well.
"After all, aren’t you infamous across Ashvale for being the most extravagant spender?"
Karl’s expression immediately changed.
He swallowed before forcing out a laugh.
"Haha ... Jasper, you must be joking." He shrugged casually, pretending to be at ease. But his expression betrayed him.
"So what if Big Brother suspended my allowance for six months?" he continued quickly. "Don’t I still have my two brothers? You guys can support me, right?"
His gaze shifted hopefully between Felix and Jasper.
Felix didn’t respond.
And Jasper simply shook his head.
"But why?" Karl nearly burst, desperation clear on his face. "This isn’t the first time I’ve been punished like this! Haven’t you always helped me before?"
"It’s different," Jasper replied calmly. "We firmly disapprove of what you did. So ... you need to learn your lesson this time. If it’s through hardship, we have no complaint."
Karl wanted to argue again, but before he could, Felix spoke.
"Karl, I agree with Jasper this time. You need to understand your mistake."
"Felix ... you too?"
Just moments ago, he had been relieved that his punishment wasn’t severe.
He thought he could easily manage.
If he had known his brothers would suddenly become this heartless, he would have happily agreed to go abroad for training instead.
"Now that you know what you should actually be worried about," Jasper said, turning away, "don’t let your focus wander."
With that, he walked out.
Felix also gave Karl one last glance before following behind.
Left alone, Karl slowly slumped onto the floor, wondering how he was supposed to survive the coming days.

As Jasper and Felix stepped out of the suite, Jasper suddenly stopped.
Felix turned to look at him.
Jasper seemed to be thinking about something deeply.
"Jasper —"
Jasper suddenly looked up and asked, "Big Brother called her our sister-in-law so confidently ... Do you think he has suddenly fallen for her?"
Felix paused.
The idea of their Big Brother falling is love was as impossible as Heaven touching the Earth.
But when he recalled what he had witnessed earlier that morning, he couldn’t dismiss the possibility entirely.
How could he?
The way Big Brother had behaved around Ms. Grace had been so gentle ... so different ... that it had already crossed all the boundary of impossibility.
"Maybe," Felix finally said.
When Jasper stared at him with thought, Felix added,
"He does treat her very differently."

Outside the hotel —
Ford brought the car to the entrance and stepped out to open the door.
With Eira in his arms, Dylan got into the car before helping her settle beside him.
The little girl didn’t resist his movements.
She simply hugged the bag in her arms and allowed her father to help her sit comfortably.
Once settled, she leaned over the bag and inhaled deeply.
But in the next second —
Her brows furrowed.
