Lord of Pets-Chapter 36
Chapter 36: Second Time Blood Burning
Hostility soared to the skies above the short slope.
The Demon Ape leader’s body skyrocketed a notch, and its eyes were scarlet as it pounced on the Sword Wolf king with incomparable tyranny. 𝘧𝚛𝗲𝘦𝚠𝙚𝙗𝙣o𝙫𝗲𝚕.𝐜o𝓂
It was like it had gone completely mad, all but ignoring defense between arm swings, and only attacking.
Fists, teeth, horns, head, elbows, knees… all that could be used became its weapons.
The Sword Wolf king was losing ground, and seemed to know that the Demon Ape Leader in this state was not to be messed with. It was simply unwilling to engage it head-on, instead using its sensitive speed to evade the Demon Ape Leader time and time again.
Even so, the Sword Wolf king still struggled extremely hard to fight because the speed of the Demon Ape Leader had also increased, and the slightest slap would split the skin and flesh at the lightest.
The wolves circled around, not knowing what to do and powerless to intervene in such a battle. They could only feign howls here and there to cheer on their wolf king.
Second Blood Burning… It’s planning to take the enemy with it… The corners of Bai Wushang’s mouth twitched and revealed a pitiful look.
The Demon Ape was different from ordinary creatures in that it had two hearts, one located in the left chest cavity, and one in the right chest cavity.
Turning on the Blood Burning once was equivalent to burning an entire heart’s worth of blood, and it couldn’t be turned off midway, and would inevitably burn to the end.
The heart which had been burned out of blood would temporarily “die”, and would take a certain period of time to recover.
During this period, the Demon Ape would live with only one heart, and its strength, speed, and reactions wouldn’t fluctuate much, except for its recovery ability, which would drop to half of its average level, losing the ability to regenerate flesh and blood, and regressing to a slower Rapid Healing.
This stage belonged to the Demon Ape’s special period of weakness, and in principle, it was unable to activate its only heart and use the skill Blood Burning again; the self-protection mechanism that existed in the organism did not allow for such an act.
However, if the Second Blood Burning was really triggered, like with the Demon Ape leader in front of him, then there was only one possibility…
With absolute toughness, tenacity, and fearlessness of death, it broke through the limits of its body, and in the midst of the immense pain it endured, it activated the other heart, and started the Second Blood Burning.
This also meant that the Demon Ape leader would go straight into a near-death state after burning its second heart!
On the battlefield, the Sword Wolf king was momentarily lax and hit in the head by an elbow strike and slapped consecutively. After trying its best to pull away a few meters, it gasped for air, a hint of cowardice finally showing in its dark green eyes.
The Swift Wind Sword Wolf king didn’t have a pretentious and warlike character. It cherished its life. Otherwise, it would not have schemed in advance, not to mention hiding in the shadows for so long just to launch a surprise attack.
However, it never expected that the Demon Ape leader would actually turn on Blood Burning for the second time and fight so desperately, either exchanging wounds for wounds or attempting to die with it. This caused the Sword Wolf king to remain fearful, dodging most of the time, and not daring to attack at all.
“Ahwoo!”
In the midst of the lightning paced battle, the Sword Wolf king found a gap, and howled a few times quickly.
The surrounding pack of wolves hesitated, but finally obeyed the order, and pounced on the Demon Ape leader.
“Hou!”
The Demon Ape leader, surrounded by the blood mist, seemingly crazy and having lost its mind, still had a trace of sanity. Its eyes only had the wolf king, so when the ordinary sword wolves attacked, it directly smashed two wolves with a fierce and unparalleled stance, scaring the ordinary sword wolves off. They constantly growled in a low voice, no longer daring to approach the Demon Ape leader.
The Sword Wolf king gave a low grunt, as if anticipating something.
It didn’t expect its subordinates to be of much use, and needed just a little help to stall for time.
As long as they lasted two to three minutes, when the Demon Ape leader’s second heart fell into exhaustion, it would be the winner!
The tangle continued, and by now the Demon Ape leader had already turned into a blood ape, with no part of its body intact from head to toe, and with its Second Blood Burning turned on, it had lost even its Rapid Healing ability, and was bleeding crazily.
At a certain moment, after a very ordinary swing, the Demon Ape leader suddenly showed pain on its face, its feet trembled, and its movements were completely out of sync.
A light flashed across the wolf king’s eyes. It naturally wouldn’t let go of such a great opportunity, raising its left paw and attacking with a swipe.
“Hiss!”
The sharp claws sliced through the Demon Ape’s chest with what should have been a beautiful sound, but the king of the Swift Wind Sword Wolves instinctively sensed a hint of something wrong. The Demon Ape leader leaned forward a bit as if on purpose.
This also resulted in its claws plunging into the flesh deeper by so much as four or five centimeters!
Just that slight misstep, plus with its claws being snagged going too deep into the flesh, let a large bloody hand clutch the wolf’s paw. free𝒘ℯ𝗯𝙣𝗼ν𝑒𝗹.𝒄o𝒎
Lifting its head, the Sword Wolf king saw blood-red eyes that furiously wished for its death, and couldn’t help but shiver and struggle desperately, trying to retract its front paw.
The Demon Ape leader grinned.
In the next moment, the Sword Wolf king took to the clouds as if it had flown.
Hong! Hong! Hong!
Over-the-shoulder slam!!!
Tarzan Crusher!!!
Iron Head Hammer!!!

The Demon Ape leader’s series of moves of luring the enemy deep was too amazing, and the various follow-up moves were more powerful and fiercer than the previous. The purest and fiercest romance of men was just like this!
So, Bai Wushang couldn’t hold back for a moment, and silently called out the Demon Ape Leader’s skills in his mind.
On the battlefield, the loud clashing sounds no longer rang out, and when the dusty sky cleared, Bai Wushang saw the conclusion on the battlefield clearly.
At this moment, the Swift Wind Sword Wolf king was swollen like a pig’s head, and its body was covered in blood and dirt.
Two of its claws were broken, the broken blades on its back were mostly destroyed, and a large hole was opened in its abdomen. Its appearance could be described as miserable.
However, it wasn’t dead yet, still hanging on for dear life, and tangling with the Demon Ape leader.
On the bottom was the Demon Ape leader, and on top was the Swift Wind Sword Wolf king, both in a supine position with their bellies facing the sky.
The Demon Ape leader’s legs were strangling the lower half of the Sword Wolf king’s body in a deadly grip, and its only right arm had locked around the Sword Wolf king’s throat, the bulging and swollen muscles indicating that it had used all its strength, and was just that close to breaking the Sword Wolf king’s neck.
Before the deadly crisis, the Sword Wolf king, with its desire for life, exploded with tremendous strength beyond its limits, and its fangs pressed against the Demon Ape leader’s only arm with deadly force, pushing outward continuously.
The two beasts were just frozen in a very awkward tussle.
If either side failed, death would greet them!
The eight or nine surviving wolves were hiding 40-50 meters away from the two kings due to the overwhelming battle earlier.
They were still hesitant, not daring to go forward for support immediately.
On the one hand, they had long been shaken by the powerful enemy and harbored great fear.
On the other hand, it was in the blood of Sword Wolves to worship the strong, and they desired their king to win alone to prove itself and its abilities.
This scene made Bai Wushang’s already restless heart thump rapidly.
Several words sprang to his mind, and kept coming and going.
“To save, or not to save?”
