A series of pages, which almost seemed to have come to life, began to float and surround the Ashura.

"What the hell is happening?" she asked herself with confusion.

But before she could perform any command to finish them off, the reality around her began to blur.

As if the images surrounding her were losing quality.

What was happening?

In reality it was simple, the truth is that just as the pages of each book could create a phenomenon according to what was written in the book.

The pages could also enclose an individual within a fantasy.

Which was curious since it would be like putting someone in an artificial environment and then in another.

Little by little reality itself was becoming blurred, transmuting into a new tangible fantasy.

Caligo blinked with some confusion.

The environment had changed now.

A putrid smell reached the demon goddess of tyranny's nose.

The atmosphere was heavy, the air was dense, humid and hot.

Meanwhile, the floor seemed to sink under her feet, as if it were quicksand.

She had been transported to a swamp.

"How unpleasant," the Ashura commented as she began to float above the mud, as if disgusted to touch the ground.

The Ashura rose above the trees, taking a look at what surrounded her.

An extensive and lush forest, which extended as far as the eye could see.

Between the distant mountains, one could observe how it was getting late, tinting the sky orange and golden.

Though phenomena like that weren't going to move the Ashura, who was only looking for Anansi's whereabouts, without success.

"Where the hell has that coward gotten herself into? Did she just lock me in here without more?" the Ashura questioned as she observed her surroundings irritated.

The Ashura, who had begun to get excited about the combat, felt that move by Anansi had cut all the battle's atmosphere.

She felt angry and irritated by that move she considered cowardly and pathetic.

"What a crawling bitch," she growled, when she finally convinced herself that Anansi wasn't in that place.

But just upon saying those words, a creak was heard.

Upon turning down, where the sound came from, she saw it, movement.

One of the trees had deformed and stretched, transforming into a kind of giant root that grew toward the Ashura, seeking to catch her.

"Pfft, seriously? This is your trick? I think you underestimate me," the demon goddess of tyranny affirmed, as she watched with boredom how that root tried to reach her.

The Ashura, without much difficulty, pointed at the root with her finger, from which came a concentrated Azoth ray that made the root explode.

"Pathetic, if that's all you have, forget about winning," the Ashura commented with total condescension as she saw how more roots tried to reach her. "Burn."

She ordered, upon doing so, reality itself bent before the Ashura's will.

Blue flames manifested on the roots trying to reach the Ashura, turning them to ash.

"I suppose my only concern is how to get out of here, it seems as if she locked me in, but to what end? Does she think she's going to defeat me here?" the Ashura wondered with curiosity.

It was true, as a strategy, that idea was terrible.

After all, the Ashura's plan was to buy time to be able to generate more Azoth.

"Wait... It can't be," at that moment, the demon goddess of tyranny realized what was happening.

She wasn't producing Azoth at that moment, her core wasn't creating it as it should be.

For some reason that place prevented the Ashura from creating Azoth.

"What the hell!? Damn bitch! So that was your plan from the beginning, right?" the Ashura commented aloud, with clear annoyance in her voice.

The Ashura had understood Anansi's plan.

Lock her in that "crystallized fantasy" without being able to generate Azoth, while the witch forced her to use the reserves she had to destroy the attacks.

It was a prison that would end up leaving her without energy.

The Ashura sighed upon understanding it, it was a much more dangerous place than it seemed.

"I suppose I'll have to destroy this world completely," she commented quietly, without noticing how a thorny bramble wrapped around her ankle. "What?"

Before she could react, the thorny bramble moved like a whip, sending Caligo's body downward with overwhelming force.

Caligo's body crashed against the ground forming a huge crater and soaking the Ashura in mud.

"Ewww, how disgusting," the demon goddess of tyranny commented as she stood up in that mud puddle, all soaked and dirty.

That had been quite humiliating for her, but above all, quite disgusting.

"Tch, I don't know how I can get distracted so easily," she complained as she began to levitate again. "Clean yourself."

The Ashura ordered.

Upon saying those words, the world obeyed, and the dirt contaminating Caligo's clothes and skin disappeared.

However, in the seconds that took, all the earth beneath the Ashura's feet vibrated.

In a few instants, the earth around her turned into a deformed mouth, made of earth, mud and torn roots.

This enormous mouth didn't take long to close on the Ashura, wanting to devour her.

Seeing how the earth engulfed her, the demon goddess of tyranny didn't take long to act.

"Explode," she ordered, and upon doing so, the mouth exploded from inside out, bursting like a water balloon. "What a repugnant and stinking tactic."

The Ashura growled, as she saw how several roots began to twist in the ground and pounce on her.

The roots creaked as they headed at vertiginous speeds directly toward the Ashura.

But she, with a bored face, didn't seem to feel threatened by those attacks.

Perhaps because to her they weren't a threat.

"Divide," the Ashura ordered with indifference.

Upon doing so, the roots divided as if they had been cut by hundreds of invisible blades.

But that didn't seem to stop the swamp's fury.

The ground began to rumble, and in the distance, she could see how gigantic wooden serpents began to rise, almost as tall as a mountain.

The giant wooden serpents were coiled around her.

They stretched and looked at the Ashura through their nonexistent eyes.

The demon goddess of tyranny wasn't intimidated for a second, she simply raised her hand.

"Come! I'll show you what true power is," the Ashura announced with confidence.

The wood creaked forcefully, rumbling in all the space.

The gigantic serpents twisted menacingly, their gaze fixed on their prey.

The Ashura on the other hand was with her hand raised, observing those creatures with utmost attention.

Above the palm of her hand a large mass of Azoth began to gather, as if she were preparing to do something.

But the serpents didn't seem willing to wait for the demon goddess of tyranny to finish with her plans, and one of them lunged toward her.

Its speed was such that moving caused a shockwave, apparently its size didn't make it slower.

However, there was no way something as ridiculous as that could impress the Ashura.

"[Go mad]," the Ashura ordered coldly, she didn't even deign to give the serpent a look, she simply spoke as soon as she heard something approaching.

Upon doing so, the serpent stopped suddenly, remaining still like a statue, to finally emit a scream that resonated throughout the swamp.

The serpent twisted, turning back, lunging at another wooden serpent, biting its neck.

Seeing that, the third serpent lunged at the first, trying to stop its madness.

The three colossal serpents began to fight each other, while the demon goddess of tyranny continued with her business.

The demon goddess of tyranny seemed very concentrated, but suddenly, a malicious smile drew on her face.

She had noticed something she didn't expect, but at the same time was very good news for her.

"Heh, I suppose it was obvious, but for now, I'm going to focus on getting out of here," she mentioned quietly, as the Azoth mass began to shine and adopt form.

The Azoth concentrated at a point, adopting a texture similar to glass, and the form of a sword.

The Ashura held between her fingers the sword's handle, which upon decomposing light formed a rainbow inside it.

It was a sword of extreme beauty, but also very dangerous.

It was a sword composed of concentrated Azoth.

Azoth is the essence of chaos and disorder, it destroys laws and matter alike, being concentrated, that effect can increase much more.

Since this was an artificial reality, a simple shell, the Ashura knew it would be simple to break, at least using a weapon like the one she was using at that moment.

With delicacy, the Ashura began to lower the sword, while its edge cut through reality itself as if it were a sheet of paper.

Reality's very veil was cut, leaving a fissure through which to escape.

"I see, it was much simpler than I thought," the Ashura commented, as she turned to take one last look at the swamp. "Goodbye forever!"

She shouted, as she entered the fissure.

However, what awaited her behind that fissure wasn't freedom.

But another prison.
