Living Only For Myself: Make Those Who Hate Me Regret It-Chapter 143: Can’t You Just Stop Finding Ways to Make Him Angry?
Remembering Shen Chen’s teasing, he began to slowly peck at Xu Su’s lips. As he kissed her, he murmured hoarsely to the dead-drunk girl, "Be this well-behaved after you sober up, okay?"
’Stop trying to find ways to make me angry, alright?’
’That Xi Zirong...’ At the thought of Xu Su allowing another man to call her Susu, Zhou Mochen’s eyes turned cold.
He was genuinely furious. He couldn’t even stand for her gaze to linger on someone else for a moment.
Let alone a male classmate who called her so intimately and obviously had designs on her.
Zhou Mochen gazed at the girl’s sleeping face, his heart aching with a bitter pang. Though he knew she couldn’t hear him, he continued to coax her softly, "Be a good girl, baby. Don’t make me angry. Don’t use other men to make me angry."
Suddenly, an idea struck him. He pulled her phone from Xu Su’s pocket. Phones in those days had no pattern locks, fingerprint sensors, or facial recognition.
The moment he had it in his hand, Zhou Mochen began scrolling through her contacts, then moved on to her text messages, reading them one by one.
Zhou Mochen felt no guilt about invading her privacy. A hidden rage had been simmering within him ever since he’d seen the incoming call from Xi Zirong, and he had been desperately suppressing it.
He searched Xu Su’s phone from top to bottom, only to find that Xi Zirong wasn’t the only male classmate’s number she had. It seemed he really was just an ordinary classmate.
Zhou Mochen’s tightly furrowed brow slowly relaxed. He was almost amused at himself for getting so flustered just because the girl had answered a call from a male classmate.
He returned the phone to her pocket. Seeing how drunk she was gave him a bit of a headache. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
’Taking her home is out of the question. When she wakes up and realizes I took her home and met her parents, there’s no telling how angry she’ll be.’
’Taking her back to school is even more out of the question. School starts tomorrow, so if I took her back to sleep in her dorm tonight, she wouldn’t have to get up early.’
’But I can’t rest easy. How could I possibly feel at ease leaving her alone at school when she’s this drunk?’
’Besides, Xu Su has warned me repeatedly not to show up at her school. How could I dare take her back without her permission?’
After weighing his options, Zhou Mochen wrapped her in his coat, swept her up into his arms, bid a quick farewell to the others, and left.
Shen Chen followed close behind. He had come to Chang City to hang out with Zhou Mochen, so naturally, he stuck with him.
Zhou Mochen shot Shen Chen a look of disgust and ordered, "Call for a driver."
Both of them had been drinking and couldn’t drive.
The hotel had designated drivers on call. By the time they reached the entrance, one was already waiting for them.
Zhou Mochen climbed into the back seat with her in his arms, unwilling to let go for the entire ride home, his loving gaze never leaving her.
Shen Chen was genuinely stunned by how whipped his friend was acting. He pressed the button for their floor as instructed, unable to resist teasing, "You like her that much? Well, she’s drunk. Perfect time to get the deed done. Trust me, you won’t be so clingy after you’ve slept with her."
Zhou Mochen gave him a chilling look that immediately silenced Shen Chen, who could only glare back in silent protest.
"Don’t lecture me with your playbook, Shen Chen. Can’t you see how much she detests you?"
Shen Chen laughed, half in anger and half in amusement. "I’m just looking out for you," he said. "Don’t tell me you like her so much you can’t even bring yourself to touch her. If you don’t, who are you planning on saving her for?"
With his arms full, Zhou Mochen could only lash out with a kick, his eyes turning frigid. "Don’t ever say that again."
Shen Chen dodged it nimbly. "Alright, alright! Can’t even talk about it. You go on and be a saint. Watch over your precious little girl."
The elevator doors opened. Zhou Mochen walked straight inside without stopping to take off his shoes, carrying her into the master bedroom.
Xu Su was surprisingly well-behaved when drunk. She didn’t cry or make a fuss, nor did she feel sick to her stomach. She just slept peacefully.
After taking off his coat, Zhou Mochen got into bed as well. He pulled her tightly into his embrace, kissing her with great restraint.
He would be lying if he said he wasn’t tempted by Shen Chen’s words.
But he didn’t dare.
He really, truly didn’t dare...
If it could be said that Zhou Mochen feared nothing in heaven or on earth before meeting Xu Su, then after meeting her, he had plenty to be afraid of.
His greatest fear was that she would stop talking to him forever. His next greatest was that she would deliberately make him angry, especially by using other men to do so.
He hadn’t thought this way before, but this Xi Zirong fellow was appearing far too frequently.
Every time Zhou Mochen even thought of the man’s name, a wave of vexation washed over him.

Perhaps because the alcohol had been high-quality, Xu Su woke up without a splitting headache. She did, however, have the aftereffects of a blackout—no memory whatsoever of the night before.
She sat up in bed and looked around the strange yet familiar room. ’Have I been reborn again...?’ she wondered.
’Could it be? Have I been reborn to the time after the college entrance exams? Right when I just got together with Zhou Mochen?’
It wasn’t until she saw the coat laid out on the bedside table and pulled her phone from its pocket that she confirmed she hadn’t been reborn.
Her hungover brain wasn’t working quickly. The room was quite warm, so Xu Su didn’t even bother with shoes, opening the door and heading straight out.
The first person she saw was Shen Chen. He seemed to have just woken up himself. When he saw Xu Su come out, he raised an eyebrow, gave her a once-over, and remarked, "Aren’t you going to get changed?"
Hearing the commotion, Zhou Mochen emerged from another room. His hair was still wet, suggesting he’d just gotten out of the shower.
When he saw Xu Su, Zhou Mochen’s brow furrowed. He strode over and swept her into his arms. "Even with the heat on, you should wear shoes. And there’s a guest here, don’t walk around in your pajamas."
The "guest," Shen Chen: "..."
Xu Su was carried back to the room and set down on the sofa. Zhou Mochen retrieved a pair of pink slippers from the bedside, then knelt and put them on her feet.
Watching the man put slippers on her feet, Xu Su looked down again at the pajamas she was wearing. As the reality of the situation finally sank in, her expression changed drastically. "Zhou Mochen! Did you change my clothes?"
Zhou Mochen looked up at her and said reassuringly, "I had the housekeeper change you."
"..." Xu Su pressed her lips together, her expression turning foul.
’With his freakish possessiveness, would he really let someone else change my clothes?’
Xu Su silently cursed the alcohol for causing all this trouble.
Feeling utterly dejected, she said, "Get out. I need to change."
Zhou Mochen stood up and smiled at her. "Your clothes have been washed and dried. There are new toiletries in the bathroom, and if you want to shower, there are fresh bath towels, too. Take your time. It’s still early. I’ll take you back to school after breakfast. We have plenty of time."
Xu Su had just checked her phone—it was only a little after five in the morning. She had no idea why these two were up so early.
As a thought struck her, Xu Su’s head snapped up. "Where did you sleep last night?"
Zhou Mochen froze, then, as if afraid she’d get the wrong idea, he explained earnestly, "Don’t worry. I didn’t do anything. Trust me."
’I’d be able to feel it if he’d actually *done* anything,’ Xu Su thought. ’But as for the rest... I completely blacked out. I have no memory at all...’
"..." Xu Su listlessly pointed to the door and repeated, "Please get out. I’m getting changed."
