Jay and Valery entered the hotel and stopped at the receptionist.
"Hello, Sir, Ma’am, welcome to Royal Hotel. What can I do for you?"
"I booked a room here. The name is Valery Tale."
Valery didn’t waste any time and said her purpose.
"Okay, ma’am, please wait a minute."
After a while, the receptionist handed a key card to Valery.
"I have confirmed your booking for a deluxe room, ma’am. Here is your room key."
Thanking the receptionist, Valery took the key card and started walking to the elevator.
From behind, Jay followed her quietly as they entered the elevator.
However, Jay’s mind is far from being silent.
’A deluxe room? That’s worth ₱20,000! Tsk, Valery is really willing to spend, huh.’
For a normal worker, ₱20,000 might already be their salary for a month of two. And that is not even the most expensive room here in this hotel!
From that, you can see just how expensive this place is for the common people.
While thinking about some useless things, the elevator started rising before soon stopping at the 6th floor.

The elevator door opened and Jay and Valery walked out to the corridor.
Stopping in front of room 606, Valery opened the door using her key card.
Ka-Chick!
Pushing the door open, Valery walked inside.
"Let’s go inside!"
Hearing her invitation, Jay pulled the luggage behind him and entered the room.
As they came in, they were welcomed by the mixture of white and beige tone of the room, giving off a clean and cozy feel to it.
The white walls and mostly light brown items in the rooms look really relaxing, like a refreshing coffee in the morning.
Beside the entrance, the bathroom door also appeared in their sight.
Taking a peek inside, Jay can’t help but nod in satisfaction. The bathroom is clean and complete with premium toiletries.
There’s also a separate marble shower and bathtub inside.
Then moving further inside, the main room came into view.
A large soft bed could immediately be seen.
Then around the room, a 50-inch flat screen smart TV, a sofa, a spacious executive desk, a small coffee table, and a lot more things could be found.
The more Jay looks, the more satisfied he is.
For Jay, this is the first time he came into such an expensive room.
That’s why he can’t help but take a look around curiously.
As for Valery, it is apparent in her casual appearance that she didn’t really take this place seriously.
Dropping her body down on the soft bed, Valery let out a relaxed voice.
"Finally~ I can finally lie down. The aircon also feels so cool."
Valery enjoyed the cool breeze from the air conditioner and even closed her eyes for a moment.
Seeing her relaxed attitude, Jay placed the luggage on the side and said,
"Aren’t you a bit too relaxed? After all, you’re with a stranger here."
Hearing his words, Valery sat up and looked at him seriously.
For a short moment, the air inside the room went to a still and the two looked at each other.
After a while, a smile broke into Valery’s face.
"What do you mean by stranger? Even if this is the first time we meet in person, I’ve been watching you since you started live streaming."
"To some extent, we are already considered friends, right?"
Jay paused for a second before shrugging.
Next, Jay sat down on the sofa and the two of them chatted for a while, getting to know each other.
Jay learned that Valery is the same age as him so their conversation went smoothly.
Being both college students, the two mostly talked about their university life.
After a while, Jay asked, "So, how long do you plan to stay here in Olongapo?"
"I’ll be staying just for 5 days. I just wanna relax and have fun right now since I’ve been really stressed with all kinds of stuff back home."
Valery said, lying down on the bed, staring at the ceiling in a daze.
Nodding, Jay asked, "For those 5 days, I don’t think I’ll be able to accompany you the whole time."
It’s only March at this time and Jay still has to go back to school.
Today is Monday.
Originally, Jay had class and needed to go back to the university.
But after informing his professors last night about what he and his family just went through, his professor told him to take a rest for now and come back once he’s better.
Jay is of course thankful to this.
With the permission from his professor, he doesn’t have to rush back to Iba.
However, Jay still plans to go back by Wednesday because it’s already midterms.
That’s why he wouldn’t be able to keep Valery company.

"That’s okay, I can go around and visit some places on my own."

"Anyway, how about we go out now? We can’t just spend the day here, right?"

Seeing how energetic she is, Jay smiled and got up.
"Alright. Let’s head out then!"
The two of them left the hotel and were once again exposed to the intense heat of the sun.
Thankfully, before they left the hotel, they already booked a ride through the app.
So when they got outside, the car was already waiting at the entrance of the hotel.
Inside the car, Jay and Valery chatted and laughed.
Since MS mall just experienced a terrorist attack, it is obviously still closed.
That’s why Jay and Valery destination this time is Atale, another big mall in Olongapo.
Royal Hotel isn’t that far from Atale, making the journey really short.
When the car stopped in front of the mall, Jay and Valery stepped out and headed inside.
While walking, Valery said, "Since it’s already almost noon, let’s go and have lunch first."
Jay didn’t have any problem with that and agreed.
