Live Strong in the Wilderness-Chapter 361: The Disappearance of Xu Yi
"Xu Yi, where are you going?" Lu Ke asked as she saw Xu Yi climb onto the Black Qilin.
"I’m heading to the depths of the Desert to capture a Fierce Beast; we can’t keep attacking the Black Qilin all the time, right?" Xu Yi said, patting the Black Qilin, which had been attacked several times today.
"That’s too dangerous! Let me come with you, I have a Thunder Strike Gun," Lu Ke insisted, unable to let Xu Yi go alone.
Xu Yi hesitated for a moment, then extended his hand towards Lu Ke.
With the Thunder Strike Gun, things would indeed be much easier.
So, Xu Yi said a word to Zhou Chun, then rode the Black Qilin deeper into the Desert.
Thanks to his Spiritual Vision, Xu Yi could still see clearly.
Lu Ke sat behind Xu Yi, holding onto his waist.
The pitch-black night made her grip him tighter.
The Black Qilin sped on at a tremendous pace, sprinting at full speed.
The scents in the air were making it excited.
The thrill of a night run, something it hadn’t experienced since being tamed by Xu Yi.
After half an hour, the Black Qilin brought Xu Yi to a group of animals. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
These animals were small, like desert foxes, and perfect for experimental targets.
"Use the second setting; I’m afraid the third could kill them," Xu Yi said to Lu Ke.
Lu Ke nodded, then took out her Thunder Strike Gun and set it to the second level.
Xu Yi jumped off the Black Qilin, ready to charge in after Lu Ke fired and capture the Fierce Beasts.
Xu Yi’s light beam fell directly on the Fierce Beasts.
Then, Lu Ke fired several shots in succession.
The Fierce Beasts were indeed weakened significantly; the second setting of the gun had no small effect, knocking them down directly.
However, they were not dead.
So Xu Yi acted decisively and rushed forward.
After catching one, Xu Yi quickly took out a rope to bind its mouth.
Lu Ke, holding the Thunder Strike Gun, kept her eyes on the small Fierce Beasts she’d knocked down. Any that tried to get close to Xu Yi were quickly shot.
Xu Yi captured three in total, then tied them up and took them back to the camp.
Although it was after 11 PM, few people were asleep.
Everyone was racking their brains.
Without entering the Jungle Area, there was no way to successfully complete the 100-day survival challenge.
"Xu Yi, did you just bring back Fierce Beasts?" someone with sharp eyesight exclaimed in surprise.
Xu Yi really took action, going directly to capture the Fierce Beasts.
That’s the attitude needed for research—only then can better experiments be conducted.
"Yes, I’ve left two for you to use, don’t kill them too quickly," Xu Yi replied, leaving two behind and taking one back to Zhou Chun’s group.
Zhou Chun’s group and those with tents set their tents up as well.
After all, without solving the issue of the Fierce Beasts’ Defense Power, it’s unlikely anyone would take action soon, so setting up tents allowed them some private space.
"Brother Xu, Sister Lu, you’re back. I’d like to use our points to exchange for a book. Do you agree?" Zhou Mo asked as Xu Yi and the others returned.
"Exchange for a book? What book?" Xu Yi was curious when he glanced at Zhou Mo.
They only had 31 points left, not enough to exchange for much.
Exchanging for a book now seemed odd to Xu Yi.
However, speaking of books, Xu Yi also planned to borrow Zhou Mo’s medical book.
With his current foundational surgical knowledge, he needed a cover. Zhou Mo’s book would be perfect.
"The Mixed Element Skill." Zhou Mo scratched his head after saying it.
"What?" Xu Yi was taken aback. Mixed Element Skill, what’s that?
No wonder Zhou Mo scratched his head after speaking; he knew it was awkward to mention.
"It’s an ancient Qi Gong I believe could help us. The Eighteen Forms of Body Strengthening are great, but they seem to be missing something. Brother Xu, don’t you feel this planet has Spiritual Energy?" Zhou Mo continued, getting bolder with his thoughts.
"Maybe we’re really able to cultivate true Qi Gong here?" Zhou Mo looked eagerly at Xu Yi.
"Jerry told me he’s recently been practicing Tai Chi and finds it much more effective than the Eighteen Forms of Body Strengthening. So, I want to try the ’Mixed Element Skill’," Zhou Mo finished, looking at Xu Yi without further comment.
"You’ve convinced Cheng Jie and Liu Li?" Xu Yi glanced at Zhou Mo.
Zhou Mo nodded, his eyes still filled with hope.
"Alright, you still have your medical book, right? Give it to me," Xu Yi said, understanding Zhou Mo’s reasoning.
After all, this planet was entirely different from their own world.
Spiritual Energy?
Perhaps it does exist?
It was only 31 points; they couldn’t do much else, so letting Zhou Mo try wasn’t out of the question.
Qi Gong?
Xu Yi touched his nose, thinking perhaps he should give it a try as well.
Isn’t the Body Refining Technique also a very mysterious Cultivation Technique?
It can quickly enhance abilities, just like those ’Qi Gong’ techniques.
"Thank you, Brother Xu," Zhou Mo said happily, handing his medical book to Xu Yi.
"It’s too ridiculous; Xu Yi really agreed to let Zhou Mo exchange for ’Mixed Element Skill’?"
"Are they turning the wilderness survival into a Spiritual Energy revival?"
"Did I open this the wrong way, what’s this ’Mixed Element Skill’?"
"Xu Yi is being reckless. Even though it’s only 31 points, they could still exchange for small tools."
"Why does Xu Yi want Zhou Mo’s medical basis? Self-study?"
"Shouldn’t we be curious how Xu Yi will research the Fierce Beasts he captured?"
"I feel like Group 12 isn’t normal anymore; many want martial arts secrets now."
"Isn’t it because of those Fierce Beasts with such abnormal Defense Power? Science couldn’t solve it, so they’re resorting to mysticism."
"Wait, where did Xu Yi go?"
"What the hell, he was just next to Lu Ke a moment ago!"
"The medical book is still on the ground, but Xu Yi has vanished. This is too creepy!"
"Xu Yi, Xu Yi, where are you?" Lu Ke picked up the book from the ground, shouting.
Because Xu Yi had disappeared, right beside her.
With Lu Ke’s shout, everyone quickly gathered around, asking what happened.
Learning that Xu Yi vanished in an instant, with just the book he was reading left on the ground, the word ’teleportation’ popped up in many minds.
How could Xu Yi suddenly disappear if not suddenly teleported by the organizers?
