Ling Tian Sword God-Chapter 653 - 651: Victory_1
Boxing is not just about Barbarian Power!
Although Zhuoma had great strength, it was just that—raw physical power.
Realizing this, Nina's mind brightened as if she'd had a sudden epiphany.
"Go back to where you belong, trash!"
Zhuoma had already thrown a palm strike, its immense Palm Power about to hit Nina right in the face.
"The one who needs to go is you!"
Nina suddenly swung her fist. In that instant, she mimicked the motion of a tiger's punch. The surrounding momentum seemed to be drawn to her, all converging into this single punch.
BANG!
With a loud explosion, Zhuoma's strike was shattered, and she was sent flying in an instant, knocked out cold by a single punch.
"So strong!"
Even Nina herself couldn't believe that such a powerful punch had come from her own hands.
"We won!"
A look of ecstasy flashed across Wutugu's face. Defeating Zhuoma meant entering the top three, which in turn meant Nina wouldn't be stripped of her position as successor. It had all happened so suddenly.
"That's impossible! She must have cheated! With her abilities, there's no way she could've beaten Zhuoma!" Alagu yelled from the sidelines.
"Haha, cheated? I didn't see Nina cheat. So many of the Elders didn't notice it either. How did you, Alagu?" Wutugu sneered.
"I suspect she took some banned substance! Otherwise, everyone knows Nina's capabilities. Her performance just now was completely different from the Nina we knew. Are you telling me her strength improved to this extent in just one month? Who would believe that?"
Alagu's expression was incredibly dark. He had intended to use this opportunity to strip Nina of her position as clan successor and even impeach Clan Leader Wutugu. However, events had spiraled beyond his expectations: his daughter had lost. It was simply impossible!
Hearing Alagu's words, many Elders of the Barbarian Tribe nodded. Indeed, a month ago, Nina was merely a beginner, ranking among the weakest of the young Barbarians. Now, however, she was undoubtedly a top contender of her generation.
Such a drastic change inevitably bred suspicion.
"Nina has always been a genius. She just happened to have a breakthrough recently."
Wutugu himself didn't understand why Nina had suddenly become so strong, but he certainly wasn't going to back down. Perhaps Nina truly was a genius.
"Such coincidences don't just happen! The contest is over, Wutugu. Call your daughter over. One examination will reveal the truth!" Alagu's gaze fell upon Nina, who was walking towards them from a distance, his eyes flashing with speculation.
Not far off, Nina saw the expressions on Alagu and the others' faces, and her own small face grew solemn. She knew these men must have noticed something.
Her gaze drifted towards a rooftop to her right. About a kilometer away, a faint, indistinct figure could be seen. Seeing that silhouette, Nina's heart settled considerably, and she strode forward.
"Nina, my precious daughter, you did brilliantly!"
As soon as she stepped onto the high platform, Wutugu gave Nina an approving look. He had faith in his daughter's character; she would never resort to using banned substances or do such a thing.
"Father, I did it."
At this moment, Nina felt incredibly proud. She remembered how many people had looked down on her in the past, but now, she had defended her status and dignity with her own strength. All of this was thanks to Ling Chen.
In her excitement, Nina was also filled with immense admiration for her young master. She knew that while she possessed a talent for cultivating Martial Arts, without Ling Chen, she could never have reached her current level in such a short time.
"Nina! How did your strength suddenly increase so much? Tell us, did you resort to any underhanded tricks?" Alagu harshly questioned before Nina could say more.
"Used underhanded tricks? Do you have any proof?"
Nina, as the Clan Leader's daughter, wouldn't be so easily intimidated, especially since she had a clear conscience.
"Then how do you explain this sudden surge in your power?" Alagu stared intently at Nina. "Nina, if you confess now, at most, your achievements will be nullified. But if you stubbornly refuse to admit it and I find out the truth later, the consequences... won't be so simple!"
"Alagu is right," a Barbarian Tribe Elder spoke up. "Nina, as far as we know, due to your innate constitution, your strength has always been much less than your peers. This has been the case for a long time. Yet, the Nina we see today is clearly far stronger than before."
"Hmm," another Elder added, his expression grave, "Nina, if you can't provide an explanation, I'm afraid it will be very difficult for us to believe you today."
"Since the Elders are so eager to know, I will tell you."
Nina was neither servile nor overbearing. Ling Chen had already told her that this matter couldn't be hidden indefinitely.
"The strength I possess now isn't because my physical power has increased, but because I have learned another kind of power."
"Another kind of power? What power is that?" The Barbarian Tribe Elders all frowned.
"True Qi."
Nina raised her palm, focused her mind, and circulated her energy. Suddenly, wisps of azure light gathered on her palm.
"True Qi? You mean the kind of power that outsiders use?"
Even Wutugu was surprised this time.
"That's correct."
Nina nodded.
"No one in our tribe knows the method for True Qi Cultivation, nor do they wish to. How did you learn it?" Wutugu asked in astonishment.
"This matter... it all started when I found a secret manual."
Nina adopted a thoughtful expression and began to recount the story Ling Chen had instructed her to tell. In essence, she claimed it was a stroke of immense luck, a fortunate coincidence, and had nothing to do with Ling Chen. After all, if Ling Chen were implicated, things would become complicated. Many members of the Barbarian Tribe were deeply hostile towards outsiders, and if they learned of his involvement, it would undoubtedly cause considerable trouble.
After Nina finished her explanation, the Barbarian Tribe Elders fell into deep thought, their brows furrowed. What Nina said sounded rather far-fetched, yet it wasn't entirely impossible, making it difficult for them to refute. But if her story wasn't true, then what was the reality? Where did Nina's strength come from?
"So that's how it is! As expected of my, Wutugu's, daughter! Even her luck is so outstanding," Wutugu chuckled, patting Nina's small head.
"I don't believe it! How can there be such a coincidence in this world? There must be something else to this! Nina, how audacious of you to lie in public!"
While Wutugu believed Nina, Alagu firmly did not. His eyes were dark, and his voice stern.
"Insolent!" Wutugu erupted in fury. He let out a sudden roar, and a terrifyingly vast and powerful wave of energy surged from his body, causing the surrounding air to visibly distort. "Alagu, I have tolerated you for far too long! It's clear you're merely jealous because my daughter performed outstandingly and defeated yours. Stand down immediately, or don't blame me, the Clan Leader, for personally suppressing you!"
