Life Simulation: My Talent Is Wool-Chapter 25: Camping in the Dungeon
Removing the eyes from the Brugnar was the most disgusting part of the hunt, but it was worth a lot of money, even with disgust, they had to do it.
It was almost like removing a ball from a deodorant. Sticking a knife in the side, they had to apply a little force, and then, the eyes popped out.
Cutting the eyes out, they stored them in plastic bags, then, inside a backpack.
"It’s really very disgusting." Luan commented.
Catharina simply kept a cold expression without saying a word.
And, then, she removed an eye, making blood spurt onto her hands, but she didn’t care. Even some splashes fell on her veil.
"If you want, you can remove the veil." Luan said: "Only when we go out, you will need to put it on again."
"It’s all right, I want to get used to it." She replied.
Luan didn’t insist.
...
The next target were two red Brugnar.
On purpose, they avoided larger groups of Brugnar.
The reds are the males, and they had a weaker defense than the females.
Luan’s damage power is very insufficient, if they were blue, he wouldn’t risk without Catharina’s help.
"Now!"
Following the same strategy, his shout called the attention of the Brugnar.
"KEkekeke!"
A hideous little laugh came out from the Brugnar’s lips. Their long arms were raised.
In the last second, like a soccer player, he did a perfect spin, bypassing the Brugnar without being hit, staying behind the creature, and with the gloved hand, attacked right in the neck.
*POW – CRACK!*
"Pfft—" Moments later, a jet of blood squirted from the Brugnar’s lips, falling hard forward.
Catharina was even simpler.
Her hand was like a scythe. She simply dodged and with a cutting sign on the neck, with her nails sharp as a razor, decapitated the Brugnar.
The Brugnar’s blood was moss green. The headless brugnar looked like a fountain from a polluted river, until it started to fall, and the ’Baque’ of its body falling to the ground was heard.
The head was caught by Catharina before falling to the ground with one hand and with the other, she simply removed the eyes with the tips of her fingers with sharp nails – one by one. Then, she threw the head to a corner as if it were an old worthless ball.
Going to the backpack with the eyes, she opened it after wiping the blood from her hands and eyes, then, simply placed it inside the plastic bag.
Luan finished collecting the eyes seconds later.
’This time, I managed to finish with a single attack.’ Luan thought.
...
For the next five hours, Luan and Catharina hunted Brugnar.
It was difficult to find small groups, because of that, they got more tired searching than hunting.
In five hours, they successfully managed to kill 81 Brugnar.
It was equivalent to 16 silver coins and twenty bronze ones.
"The Brugnar don’t go to mountainous areas." Luan pointed out: "Let’s go there to rest."
"Yes." She nodded.
After five hours, it was difficult not to get hungry.
...
At the top of a mountain, there were already some groups of hunters, eating and talking.
Each group had a tent set up and, they were around a campfire. Some roasting meat, others simply warming themselves by the fire while eating dried meat, hard bread, among other things...
Luan chose a spot for him and Catharina.
It was a more secluded area.
Although exchanging information might be important, everything he needed to know, he had already managed to collect outside the dungeon.
"I killed 39 Brugnar, and you?"
"Dude, don’t even ask me, otherwise I’ll get angry."
"Hahaha! Was it that bad?"
"Sigh... Yes, it was."
While setting up the tent, even though it was a bit distant, it was still possible to hear the others’ conversation.
Many knew each other. This became evident when the conversations became more people even outside their own group.
Some groups joined together at camping time and started talking cheerfully. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Ignoring them, Luan finished setting up the tent.
Catharina gathered the dry twigs and made the campfire.
To say that they didn’t attract attention would be a big lie.
After all, Catharina’s outfit aroused curiosity. And, even with that disguise, it was easy to imagine that she was a great beauty.
Since there were more men than women, it was normal that some had some ideas, but none of them were bold enough.
First, they were two. Second, precisely because they were only two, but not even a little injured, it left those who had some idea cautious.
Even among Lv1 there are disparities.
It’s like a firearm. Although the .22 and .38 caliber are both revolvers, there is still a glaring difference in the matter of power between them.
"What do you want to eat?" Luan asked her.
Catharina thought for a bit, touching her lips with her index finger, then replied: "How about we eat a piece of the Lv2 bull meat we bought in the city?"
"Sure, I also want to try that." He agreed with a smile.
This meat was three times more expensive than the meat he bought from Bear in the village. There are several reasons for the price to be higher, but at the end of the day, that money was something he had been saving with the purpose of helping him level up. And Lv2 wild animal meat was essential.
Another reason for him choosing this city. Although it’s not like Russia on planet Earth, it was still a very cold place.
Here he could sell the wool for double – even triple, depending on the time of year.
...
The smell of the meat roasting made not only his stomach rumble, but Catharina’s as well.
Swallowing dry saliva, he started drooling even before it was ready.
’Damn, I’m almost dying of hunger just from the smell...’ Luan thought.
