Life In The Limelight : I Married A Gamer Girl-Chapter 10: Whipped and... Whip
Chapter 10: Whipped and... Whip
Kazuma sighed heavily as he collapsed onto the couch, the remnants of his frustrating phone call with their investors still ringing in his ears. It had been a long day, filled with endless back-and-forth negotiations and questions that had tested his patience. His light blue hair was slightly disheveled, and his light blue eyes were weary.
Masako noticed immediately. She had been sketching character designs at her desk but quickly set her tablet aside when she saw his face. "Dear, are you okay?" she asked softly, walking over to him.
Kazuma smiled faintly, trying to mask his exhaustion. "Just a rough day, sweetie. The investors wanted a lot of clarification on our timelines and budgets. Nothing we can't handle, but it's... draining."
Masako knelt beside him, her golden eyes filled with concern. "You've been working so hard lately, dear. Let me do something for you. I'll go to the store and grab groceries so you can rest."
Kazuma shook his head gently. "No, Masako. You've already done so much today. I can handle it."

"But, Kazuma—"
"Sweetie," he interrupted, placing a hand on her shoulder, "I mean it. Just stay here and relax. I'll handle it, okay?"
Masako hesitated but eventually nodded. "Fine," she said, her voice soft. "But only if you promise to let me do something special for you later."
Kazuma chuckled, leaning forward to kiss her forehead. "Deal. Now, let me grab the list, and I'll be back soon."
While Kazuma was out, Masako decided she wasn't going to just sit around. She wanted to surprise him with something that would lift his spirits—a cake. Her golden eyes sparkled with determination as she pulled out the ingredients, tying an apron around her shapely figure. "This will be perfect," she said to herself, already imagining the smile on Kazuma's face.
What she hadn't anticipated, however, was how messy baking could get. By the time the cake was cooling on the counter, Masako was covered in flour, bits of batter, and—most notably—white icing. She had been trying to decorate the cake, but somehow, the icing ended up smeared across her arms, her cheeks, and even her chest. She looked down at herself and laughed softly. "Well, this didn't go as planned."
A mischievous idea popped into her head as she glanced at the clock, realizing Kazuma would be home any minute. She didn't bother cleaning herself up, deciding instead to let him "help."
Kazuma walked through the door, carrying the grocery bags with him. He immediately noticed the sweet aroma of freshly baked cake filling the air. "Masako?" he called out, setting the bags on the counter. "Did you bake something?"
"In here, dear!" came her cheerful reply from the dining room.
Kazuma followed her voice, but the moment he stepped into the room, he froze. There was Masako, standing proudly beside a beautifully decorated cake. However, what caught his attention wasn't the cake—it was her. She was covered in white icing, her chocolate brown skin streaked with the sticky substance. Her golden eyes gleamed playfully as she stood there, completely unfazed.
"Welcome home, dear!" she said brightly, holding her arms out as if showing off her masterpiece—or herself.
Kazuma's face turned bright red as his light blue eyes darted between the cake and his wife. The way the white icing clung to her, particularly across her chest, made his mind wander to far less innocent places. He cleared his throat, trying to compose himself. "Masako... what happened?"
She grinned sheepishly, brushing a strand of dark brown hair out of her face. "I was trying to make you a cake, but, uh... things got a little messy. I think I need some help cleaning up, dear."
Kazuma's blush deepened, and he struggled to find the right words. "You... you could've cleaned up before I got home," he muttered, his voice flustered.
"But where's the fun in that?" she teased, stepping closer to him. "Come on, sweetie. You've had a stressful day. Help me out a little, won't you?"
He sighed, shaking his head with a small smile. "You're impossible, you know that?"
"And you love me for it," she said with a wink.
Kazuma grabbed a wet rag from the sink and returned to her side. Gently, he dabbed at the icing smeared across her cheeks, his light blue eyes softening as he worked. "You really went all out, didn't you?"
"Of course," she said, her voice quieter now. "I wanted to do something special for you, dear. You've been working so hard, and I just wanted to make you smile."
He paused, meeting her golden gaze. His heart swelled at her words, and his blush softened into a warm smile. "You don't have to do all this for me, Masako. Just having you here makes everything better."
Her cheeks flushed slightly, and she smiled back. "Well, I wanted to anyway. You deserve it."
As he continued cleaning her face, his hand hesitated when it came to the icing on her chest. His blush returned full force, and he cleared his throat. "Uh, Masako..."
She giggled, noticing his hesitation. "Oh, come on, dear. You've seen me before. Don't be shy."
"That's not the point!" he protested, though his light blue eyes betrayed his embarrassment. Carefully, he wiped the icing off her collarbone and the top of her chest, doing his best to keep his focus.
Masako, however, couldn't resist teasing him. "You're so cute when you're flustered," she said softly, leaning forward to kiss his cheek.
Kazuma sighed, though he couldn't hide the small smile tugging at his lips. "And you're adorable, even when you're covered in icing."
Once she was cleaned up, Masako hugged him tightly, resting her head on his shoulder. "Thank you, dear. I hope the cake makes your day a little better."
"It already has," Kazuma said, wrapping his arms around her. "But only because you made it."
Their quiet moment of affection was interrupted by a loud growl from Kazuma's stomach. Masako laughed, pulling back slightly. "Sounds like it's time to eat, dear. Let's cut the cake."
Kazuma nodded, his light blue eyes filled with gratitude. No matter how stressful the day had been, moments like these with Masako made everything worthwhile.
