Domineering Mr. CEO and His Impudent Love-Chapter 2337 - 43: You Two Should Have a Deep Talk
Director Henson shouted excitedly, and David Redington’s deep ink-blue eyes only flicked with a hint of confusion.
He just... actually reached out to support Leslie Howard.
Clearly last night when this woman told him those words, describing their relationship as ’serving’ and ’equivalent exchange’, he already knew she was a deeply scheming woman.
Leslie Howard was just like Grace Smith in the script, never hiding her ’schemes’, nor concealing her ’ambition’.
She exposed her cunning and her ambition to obtain more and better resources completely in front of David Redington.
And such a woman, happened to be the one David Redington disliked the most.
Though he had no romantic experience, he despised those deeply scheming women who didn’t hesitate to sell their bodies for a higher status.
Just like Grace Smith in the script, he didn’t like such women, which is why he initially wanted Leslie Howard to play this role.
He even once told Director Henson that he believed only Leslie Howard was suitable for the role of Grace Smith.
She simply couldn’t portray the pure-hearted and kind Daisy Smith.
However now—reality was harshly proving otherwise.
Even knowing she was not a ’good woman’, even knowing she was deeply scheming, even knowing he should distance himself from her and stop letting her use him.
Yet David Redington’s hand around Leslie Howard’s waist did not loosen.
"Ms. Redington, yes, what are you trying to do? Director Henson has said, you should let me fall..."
At this moment, Leslie Howard in his arms was not behaving well.
She curled her dazzling red lips, her slender almond-shaped eyes flashed a light, and she coyly looked at the man holding her without releasing his grip.
She even maliciously, with a hint of glee in her eyes, whispered so only the two of them could hear, "What, could it be that you’re reluctant?"
It was clearly not flirting, but rather a malicious slight.
Yet, as she tilted her head to look at him, her gleeful and proud expression fell into David Redington’s deep blue eyes, with no sense of repulsion or dislike, only revealing a charming cuteness.
This strange yet unfamiliar feeling made David Redington inexplicably reluctant to release the large hand resting on the woman’s soft waist.
He turned his gaze, his expression indifferent as he spoke to Director Henson: "Alan Moore may be serious and detached, but aside from that, he is also a man who grew up receiving higher education.
As a gentleman, he couldn’t possibly watch Grace Smith hit the corner of the table and ignore it. It doesn’t fit his character, and it’s too damaging to his integrity."
Leslie Howard couldn’t help but feel embarrassed for David Redington.
Clearly, he was reluctant to let her fall, yet he gave such a righteous explanation.
It’s unbelievable that anyone would believe it.
However...
"Yes, you’re right, I didn’t think it through. If Alan Moore were to watch a woman fall without helping her, it indeed would damage his integrity. Alas, how did I not realize this... you understand this role better.
Luckily, the camera shot was finished before yelling cut, so we’ll continue this plot. We’ll make a few changes here, Alan Moore saved Grace Smith, and Grace Smith will surely cling to him... you all take a break, exchange ideas to find the right feeling, then directly get into character for free play."
"Sure, I’ll chat with Leslie." David Redington nodded calmly, and with that said, he finally released Leslie Howard’s waist, leading her with him to the lounge for ’running lines’.
Leslie Howard had been in a state of slight bewilderment ever since Director Henson began speaking.
Did David Redington really manage to fool him?
Director Henson, are you blind, how could you be fooled by him with just a few words!!!
