Lewd skill in a filthy world-Chapter 79. The explosion
Chapter 79: 79. The explosion
"Would you like something to drink, Master? Coffee? Tea?"
The voice was soft, feminine, almost too human to belong to a system.
Darren reclined lazily on his bed, one leg draped over the other, his eyes locked on the blue translucent screen hovering in midair. He barely glanced at the figure standing nearby as he replied,
"Just water, Lira. Cold."
His eyes were glued on the battle between Gegee and Shin.
The system girl walked across the room, her dainty steps barely making a sound on the marble floor. She moved toward a sleek fridge seamlessly built into the wall, and opened it to retrieve the water.
After killing countless players and leveling up almost daily, something had began to change in Darren. His system was overloaded, flooded with EXP not only from direct kills, but also from his servants—those who’d tried to flee. Many had attempted to follow Akira’s path of escape, but most were now dead, wiped out by his newest skill.
Back then, bright red warnings had flashed across his system interface:
[ERROR: Power Level Exceeds Authorized Threshold]
[WARNING: Skill Acquisition Rate Anomalous]
[INITIATING COUNTERMEASURE: SYSTEM MANIFESTATION...]
Right after that, a translucent holographic figure began materializing beside him, glowing, featureless at first, before slowly stabilizing into the form of a girl.
That was how it happened.
The system, in an attempt to suppress the rapid growth of his power, took human form. A walking failsafe. A living regulator.
No one else could see her. She existed only for him.
He gave her a name: Lira.
She returned to the bed and handed him the water, her face blank. He took it without a word, taking a slow sip as the screen in front of him zoomed in on Gegee’s fight, filtering through multiple camera angles.
Lira sat beside him, legs crossed like a loyal servant awaiting command.
"Her betrayal level has reached 44%, Master. Shall I trigger the Mark of the Forged?"
"No. Let’s watch a little bit more."
And with that, he continued to watch the live fight from the comfort of his bed.

Meanwhile, with one clone hidden for safekeeping, Gegee moved—one clone holding twin Uzis, another circling around to find Shin from the back. She made two more clones and sent them scaling the taller buildings in different directions, so they could spot Shin from a higher ground.
And since her consciousness shifted from one clone to another, that only meant all her clones had become her eyes and ears—giving her total leverage on the battlefield.
From behind shattered bricks and cracked-up walls, Shin crouched softly, moving quietly. He knew hiding wasn’t ideal—he had to fight—but charging in blindly when guns had now entered the equation... yeah, that’d be suicide. He didn’t want to risk it.
So, all he could do now was listen. Rely on instinct to handle surprise attacks.
Or at least, that’s what he thought—until one of the walls in the building he was hiding in shattered to pieces, dust and debris falling onto him. Behind the wreckage was Gegee.
Shin took a few cautious steps back, his gaze fixed on the enemy in front of him.
"There you are..." Gegee whispered darkly, her voice sugar-sweet and unhinged.
"It’s no use hiding. I see everything."
"Yeah, right..." Shin hissed, wiping blood from his face.
He bent low, grabbed a jagged brick, and hurled it toward her.
She tilted her head, dodging the attack with unnatural ease, and immediately picked up two stones of her own from the ground, mimicking his move like a sadistic reflection. But hers came faster and harder.
He dove. One missed. The other cracked against the wall beside him, sending splinters of concrete into his side.
He ran. Slid into cover behind a low, ruined structure, but from his rear came another clone, the one with guns and it released a storm of bullets in his direction.
He rolled over the ground, one bullet grazing his leg. He muffled the scream by biting his lip, feeling the pain explode through his nerves. He dived behind a rusted vehicle frame, zigzagging, adrenaline flooding in his body. Bullets trailed behind him like angry wasps. One missed his head by a breath.
He sprinted, ducked, then threw himself headfirst through the glass pane of an abandoned shop before stumbling inside.
It had stairs.
He climbed up, stumbling with his injured leg leaving trails of blood behind him. He reached a door upstairs, shoved it open, and closed it behind him.
He held only a single dagger now. The other had been lost when he tried to throw it at Gegee earlier. And this one? It had slight cracks running down its blade, showing it could shatter at any moment. That’s why he’d been pestering Sylvia to reforge them for him.
With trembling hands, he bit down on the leather strap of his crossbag and stabbed the dagger into his wound. The blade pierced with a sick squelch, and he yanked it out, scooping the bullet with it.
The metal clattered to the floor, wet with blood.
"Playing hide and seek, aren’t we?" Gegee’s voice echoed from the wide-open shop below.
He ignored her, using a bit of healing magic to numb the pain and stop the bleeding.
After using Slave Leash, which had consumed a generous chunk of MP, and casting Heal twice already, his MP had dropped dangerously—now a little below half. He needed to conserve what was left.
He had a plan... one he wasn’t even sure would work. But he couldn’t pull it off alone.
He wondered—had his earlier summon really failed?
He gritted his teeth and pushed himself up, hearing the soft clicks of heels coming up the stairs.
He gripped his dagger tightly, moving behind the door and waiting—ready to end her if she stepped in.
The soft clicks stopped when they reached the door.
Then fell silent.
No words. No sound. Not even a breath.
He swallowed a lump, his gut twisting, his thoughts racing.
What the hell was she planning now...?
The room had no windows facing the stairs, just one on the far side. He peeked through it and spotted a clone perched atop a nearby building, staring straight at him.
"Damn it..." he cursed.
She was tracking every move.
She wasn’t coming in. She knew he was waiting to ambush her. freēwēbnovel.com
But the silence... the stillness...
It made him uneasy.
Then, from the ground, he heard Ado’s voice booming in desperation.
"No!! Don’t do it!! You’ll kill him before I get my revenge—!"
Before Shin could even process what was coming—
Clat... clat... clat...
A soft metallic sound rolled across the floor.
Something small. Something round.
A grenade.
Shin’s eyes widened.
"Oh... shit!!" he rushed toward the door, reaching for the knob.
But the door slammed harder—held shut from the outside.
She was there.
He didn’t even have time to attempt to throw the grenade back.
BOOM!!!!
The explosion tore through the room.
