Leveling Technology To Save Humanity-Chapter 79: Khelt kin’s Decision - 2
Chapter 79: Khelt kin’s Decision - 2
Understand MY ASS!!!
"Sirs..." He began. "I have a question for you. So long as I’m a military official, I cannot touch this matter, right?"
Everyone frowned, not knowing what he was asking the obvious. Still, they nodded that he was right.
Gahwakakakaka~
Khelt Kin’s burly laugh engulfed the scene. He was laughing hard with one Giant hand over his eyes and another on his belly.
"Good... Good..." His voice now dropped with spite. "I never knew this is how my promotion to the next of my career will unfold."
Khelt Kin didn’t make it difficult for his superiors, knowing that even he might do the same thing if he didn’t know the secret information he was now privy to.
His thin lashes slowly fluttered as his gaze scanned each person here. "If that’s the case, then I quit!"
WHAT?
Everyone almost fell off their seats.
What the hell was this bastard talking about?
They understand what each sentence he said meant, but how come when out in a sentence, it didn’t make any sense at all? freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Khelt Kin smirked carelessly.
The world was fucking coming to an end. So who the hell cared about a damn job position?
Khelt Kin knew that after the Flood, the world’s power would shift.
The Big 3 might be on-top now, but it’s hard to say where they will fall after the Flood. However, Geldhan Village and Gwintia Country will definitely be on top... So you see, it’s pointless to stop this battle.
"Sirs, I say this with the utmost seriousness. I will continue protecting that village, not as a military personnel but as a civilian... so you see sirs, I QUIT... and just a heads up, expect that my men, will also be quitting"
....
6 hours later, Khelt Kin had left the military station and was now on a military chopper, escorting him out.
So what if he Quits or Defects? Because of his current high ranking position, he can never just go off like a rat in a sewer.
The respect he commanded even now, was uncanny. The word had long spread like wildfire, with countless people buzzing his phone like crazy.
"You old bastard, what the hell were you thinking?"
"Are you insane? Madman! Madman!"
"You know you can’t fight it. So why go so far?"
"Bahahahah, Old friend, I admire you. You really know how to make a point."
....
Talks like this was all he heard.
Again, those superiors who initially called him for THE TALK, had long asked for others to request that all military personnel stationed in Geldhan village, depart and head back.
They were shocked to realize that these Military personnel also decided to quit and stay back in order to protect Geldhan village.
[Superiors]: ’_’
What’s going on?
Didn’t they say Khelt Kin’s forces were among the strictest and most disciplined military officials one could find?
So how come they were blatantly disregarding an order from their superiors?
In truth, in other times, they would have definitely obeyed, no questions asked. But after coming to Geldhan village and sensing the strangeness of it all, they realized that perhaps something big was about to happen.
All Khelt Kin told them was that the world would soon change and Geldhan village must be protected no matter what storm heads its way. In their minds, some of them even think a nuclear war is approaching.
Everyone has random guesses in their hearts, but have never spoken another word about it to anyone, especially their families.
They more than everyone else knew the importance of keeping military secrets away from civilians. So the moment they were told that Khelt Kin chose to leave the army and protect Geldhan village, they knew it must be far more serious than anyone can imagine.
From what they understood of their Leader—Khelt Kin—he must have tried to tell the higher ups about the matter over the days and weeks. But they must not have believed him, leading to him talking it up on his shoulders.
Anyway, staying here was far better than in the army because number 1: the Food made them stronger. They could feel it in every fiber of their being that their attributes were slowly but steadily rising.
Number 2: they believed their leader and the Kin family. If their leader said jump, they would jump. If he said crawl, they would bloody well do that.
Number 3: they felt they must be on a nation changing mission that can only be done by them. So if they pull out now, what happens then?
The more they thought of things, the more they felt they made the right choice.
[ Dad, what’s going on? ] Khalea was questioned, hearing the news hours later.
Khelt Kin felt warm. He held the phone by his ears, laughing heartily, no stress visible on his face. "Hey, it’s just as you heard. Your old man has decided to give everyone what they want. After all, with the end of the word coming, why do we have to care so much about these matters?"
What? The end of the world is coming?
Those escorting him on the chopper felt their hearts throb manually. .their ears were perked to the skies and their faces were pale and chalky white pale.
Help! What did Khelt Kin mean by saying the world was coming to an end? Like an Apocalypse?
Zombies?
Could it be that the higher ups knew something they didn’t?
No! When thinking of it, maybe Khelt Kin was purposefully fired and staged this entire thing just to go prepare for the Apocalyptic era.
Hey, what is it? A nuclear war? A meteorite on its way that will vaporize all humanity?
Dammit!
Spit it out now because their poor hearts can’t take it anymore.
Those whose tasks were to only escort Khelt Kin and return, suddenly felt their bodies grow 10 times heavier. Their minds were spiralling maniacally and their butts were twitching in their seats.
Come on man, speak up! Why do you keep talking and leaving things hanging? Can you just say what specific disaster will mark the end of the world?
Zombies, aliens, outer space rocks, or Nuclear wars?—Which was it?
