He looked at the map and he couldn’t help but ’Hm?’ in confusion.
"Is the map blank for you too or mine is just broken?" Sean asked the others who also had their maps in their hands.
Lucas took note of how it was blank for everyone and tried to get the description of the map.

Lucas didn’t answer and simply showed them with his hands.

He tore the piece of paper in front of everyone’s horrified and surprised gazes.
"WHAT?!"
"Read the description." Lucas just said without taking much of their reaction. He went and spoke the word ’Map’ in his mind in hopes of not having messed anything up in the process.
And to his delight, a hologram screen opened in front of his eyes.
Lucas saw a map panning out in the whole screen from the center as if it was copying the whole layout just when he opened it.
He saw the whole layout with widened eyes, his way of telling the other without speaking that it had worked pretty fine.
Lucas saw the river flowing horizontally from end to end.

"Do we take that it worked fine?" John asked with a smile thinking of how Lucas was just too flabbergasted from what he was looking at.
Lucas just nodded in return which made the others do the same, they tore the maps and opened the system in order to look at it. All had different reactions.
’Hm?’ Lucas looked at the many green flashing dots on the map, they were everywhere and about 100 in the whole map.
"Our shelter is one of the territory options! What the heck?!" Sean screamed which got everyone’s attention.
Lucas was looking at the same thing, he saw the blinking light right on the shelter which by the way, showed clearly on the map that there were some buildings there.
"Shit… this is going to attract many here," Lucas said with a grim expression.
"Isn’t that good? More people means better development." Sarah said with a serious face.
"You are halfway right, Sarah. But this can have both bad and good implications. Some very bad people can come to us which will only worsen things."
Lucas’s eyes flashed with darkness as he thought of some random bitch killing his loved ones to get the shelter they couldn’t. He felt threatened.
John noted this development and didn’t say anything, it was as if he wanted some measure to see these things through that were not even developed right now.
"I clicked on the blinking dot and it asked me if I wanted to take this place?"

Lucas heard him say and clicked on the button too. Texts came in front of the dot asking him a question he had been waiting for all this time.

Everyone waited while John checked everything again. His eyes darted everywhere making Lucas sure that he was looking at the previous holograms and this one at teh same time.
There was an option to open everything consecutively that Lucas liked to use. It made it feel sciency and sci-fi.
"Take over definitely means becoming the leader…" John muttered and his eyes went up.
It was obvious who he was looking at.
Lucas saw the same situation yet again as everyone was staring at him in approval.

He clicked on the take-over option and the map closed. Lucas looked at things changed pretty quickly.
"WHA?!"
A white light fell on the shelter which made them all blind for a while. Lucas could feel the light graze on his skin with panic as it was the same as when his shelter used to level up.
In a few seconds, the light faded and Lucas looked at everyone safe and sound in front of him with relief.
He looked everywhere and saw that the shelter was completely fine.
And then, the moment came when another hologram opened in front of him.
[Congratulations! You have taken over a territory!]
[The layout on the map in yellow is now your full territory!]
