Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword-Chapter 38: Our Chambers City Is Blessed With Talents!
The examiner guided Felix to verify the Flowing Rain Sword as his summon.
The authentication confirmed that his weapon was a soul-bound manifestation, not as mere external weapons, not an external artifact or borrowed relic, but it instead possessed an energy that matched the summoner.
The process was quick and easy, so it didn’t take too much time.
After they were finished, the examiner said, "Your beautiful sword has been recorded as a contracted armament entity, rather than a contracted beast pet.
In other words, you, I mean your sword follow a different statute than beast tamers. It’s called the Manifested Armament Control Statute."
"Manifested Armament Control Statute?" Felix furrowed his eyebrows and tilted his head in confusion.
"Yes. Beast Tamers fall under Beast Regulation Act while in your case fall under Manifested Armament Control Statute. Both remain under Association oversight but are tracked in separate divisions.
The division who supervises the Manifested Armament Control Statute has just been formed and Master Vey is actually the supervisor.
Anyway, as for the Manifested Armament Control Statute... Well, I’ll just tell you the six main purposes of the statute."
She paused for a while as she searched for something on her phone.
She said, "the statute regulates public safety, combat authorization, energy misuse prevention, weapon evolution oversight, mental stability monitoring, and black-market weapon experimentation suppression.
That’s it. If you want to know more about them, I’ll give you the link later, so you can read it.
We should now proceed to step 2."
The examiner led Felix and others to a different room, where other examiners were already waiting for them.
They beamed a smile at Felix and chatted for a while at him, but they didn’t last long as their whole attention was captured by the exquisite sword in his hand.
Felix merely grinned in response as they proceeded to step 2.
The examiner that accompanied them stated that the step 2 was a structural analysis of the sword.
The examiner that waited for them earlier had already prepared a technology they called Weapon Diagnostic Scanner.
Truth to be told, Felix was quite reluctant to part ways with his sword for a bit as he placed the sword inside the Weapon Diagnostic Scanner.
His sword seemed to be uncomfortable too, causing Felix to keep comforting him as he peeked at the examiners to hasten the process of their structural analysis of his sword.
As the other examiner stared intensely at the result in front them, their eyes widened.
Their body trembled for quite some time, causing Felix to be quite displeased at how slow they proceeded.
When they were finished, the examiner beside Felix gestured for him to grab his sword and Felix didn’t dilly-dally.
He comforted his sword ceaselessly, knowing that his sword was just uncomfortable after sensing how reluctant Felix appeared earlier.
Felix glanced at the examiner behind him, who was facing in front of the technology that showed the result.
The result was slowly being printed.
Once it was finished, they grabbed a single piece of paper and hurriedly walked towards Felix.
"Everything is above our expectations! This is your first summon and yet it has already achieved the Unique rank after it has been restored by Master Vey. Furthermore, its manifestation stability is superb, it’s completely submissive to you despite you’re on the Awakener rank.
Its energy conductivity is quite huge—it’s also at the peak Unique rank level compared to other beasts. It’s just a shame that you won’t fully be able to summon a hundred percent of its energy, but once you reach the Beast Tamer Lord rank, you’ll be able to do so.
However, this also means that you have the soul capacity to reach the Beast Tamer Lord rank or possibly higher!
Our Chambers City is blessed with great talents!"
The examiner who reported the result was huffing heavily.
The examiner beside him rolled his eyes and grabbed the piece of paper from him, knowing there was still another evaluation criteria he had not reported yet.
He read it and his eyes widened.
He trembled.
"Y-Your sword... It already has the sentience of a teenager. It’s already on its rebellious stage. However, from the emotional capacity we’ve detected, it’s completely loyal and reliant to you. In other words, we’ve concluded that it won’t form rebellious thoughts at all.
At least, not anytime soon..."
Felix smiled. He brought his sword closer to his face and communicated with him, praising him.
The leader of the examiner, who stood beside Felix, grabbed the latter’s shoulder and praised him.
"Congratulations, it went well. Thankfully."
Felix glanced at him and nodded. "Yeah, thanks by the way."
The examiner chuckled and said, "I’ll also be giving you good luck since the third step involved your assessment, the five-aspect assessment specifically designed for you."
The examiner then pointed at the chamber where there was a training dummy inside.
Felix was quite surprised. He smiled and nodded.
He communicated with his sword mentally.
"Are you ready to show off? I’ll also give you a surprise."
His sword simply hummed in excitement as a form of response.
The examiner then led Felix to the chamber.
They entered inside as the examiner glanced at the paper on his clip board and said, "We’ll be testing your strength, speed, stamina, mental state, and skill efficiency. There is also the armament resonance rate, but it will be based on how you fare through the overall tests."
Felix smiled and nodded.
He took a basic stance and glanced at the training dummy.
The training dummy was, in fact, a beast.
Felix was quite familiar with the beast since he studied the Beast Encyclopedia thoroughly.
A Frostpelt Lynx. Its skills are Frost Claw and Silent Pounce. It also adapts to cold easily.
Aside from their skills, Felix was aware that Lynx was agile and deadly with its attacks.
Even so, Felix wasn’t worried.
He believed it was the perfect opponent for him.
The examiner glanced at Felix and smiled when he noticed how intense his gaze directed at the lynx.
He thought. If it’s a real lynx, it might have already been intimidated.
An Awakener rank intimidating a Rare rank beast?
No one would dare to believe it.
He tossed the unnecessary thoughts at the back of his head and said to Felix.
"First, put your sword into your scabbard. We’ll test your draw speed. Only draw when the lynx’s claw is about to reach you."
Felix nodded. The moment he pushed the sword on his scabbard, the lynx leapt towards him...
