Elias tossed the device into his temporary storage, making it impossible for the other side to contact him without his permission.

"Are you really planning to go there?" Astralious asked, wondering if Elias was serious, or if he had just bluffed to throw the other side off his trail for a little while.

"I was sent here to collect a Soul Beast for myself. Even if I don’t need it anymore, one might come in handy in the future. And now that I have my cheat back, what better time is there to do it?"

Elias had initially planned to enter the Central Region to find a Soul Beast to remove his corruption. But even then, he had never planned to enter a place like the Shadow Domain.

He had believed that all his tricks had become useless since weapons were useless in this world. But the realization that Astralious had given him made him realize that he wasn’t as helpless as he had initially thought.

While he still had access to his temporary storage, it was better to put his resource to good use.

At present, he didn’t really need a Soul Beast to neutralize his corruption, as that had already been removed by his body. But still, he felt a Soul Beast was something that could be handy for him. His father also had one, after all, which was even stronger than Astralious.

"Is that really the reason?" Astralious asked. He didn’t know why, but he felt like it wasn’t the true reason behind Elias’s actions.

If he needed a powerful Soul Beast, then he could always go for the old man in this domain. Why did he need to go to a more dangerous place like the Shadow Domain?

Even if he had weapons, he couldn’t be ignorant enough to believe that they were enough for him to lord over so many High-Tier Fables in their own domain.

He had been with Elias for a very short time, and the boy was still childish in some aspects. But this truly felt out of character for someone like him, from what he had seen so far.

"Did you ever wonder how they managed to find me so fast?" Elias asked, as he watched the first storm slowly weaken.

He walked over to the evolved item that had fallen on the ground. "They seem to have a way to trace me. If I don’t go to them, they will still come to me. This trip has already turned into a trap. So instead of waiting for them to realize what happened here and plan, I would rather go to them myself."

He picked up the sniper rifle, noticing new marks that had appeared around it, brimming with the dense essence of a fable born from the death of millions.

"That doesn’t make sense. So what if they realize what happened here? The stronger fables can’t leave the domain. They can only send mid-tier fables, which you can easily deal with." Astralious frowned, almost certain that Elias still wasn’t being completely honest with him.

"But mid-tier fables aren’t good enough. At this point, I’m feeling a little greedy," Elias exclaimed after a brief period of silence. "Even if they tried to kill me, they can only send mid-tier fables. They are good materials, but I want more. I want stronger fables..."

He was sent here to find a Soul Beast, but things had changed. The things that were supposed to become Soul Beasts had turned into a very useful material in his eyes.

"If mid-tier fables can make these things so strong, then what about a high-tier fable? So I want to take advantage of the fact that they are trapped in their domain. In any case, they started it first."

He removed the safety lock on the sniper rifle that had evolved for a second time, this time with a fable’s life essence.

He raised the sniper rifle, aimed it into the distance, and pulled the trigger.

"Bang!"

A bullet, now imbued with the essence of the slain fable, tore through the air, leaving a visible trail in its wake. It seemed to bend space, distorting reality for a fleeting moment.

The bullet travelled from one tree to another, leaving a fist sized hole in every tree that it struck with a single shot. But the bullet didn’t stop. It only disappeared from Elias’s view, going farther than his expectations.

"Don’t you think you’re taking a little too much risk? Don’t forget that my life also depends on you," Astralious finally said, his voice a low rumble in Elias’s mind.

"High Tier Fables can’t be compared to mid-tier ones, as they have already reached the realm of proper manifestation." He further stated, not wanting to take any unnecessary risk for Elias’s greed. "They are the apex predators of their domains. Even with your impressive weapons and strange abilities, you are still walking into a den of lions."

Elias lowered the rifle, and tossed it back in his permanent storage, before moving on to the next item that had completed its evolution.

"Lions, tigers, it doesn’t matter," Elias replied, his voice calm. "They’ve marked me. They want me. And now… I want them. I want to see what kind of weapon a High-Tier Fable can create. I want to see the limits of what I can achieve."

He glanced back at his temporary storage, a mental inventory of the raw materials Leo had gathered, only to be taken by him. He still had plenty of bullets, and a few other, more… experimental items.

"Besides," he added, picking up another item that was much larger than even the sniper rifle. "I’m not going in unprepared. Their weakness will become my strength."

"Hah, you’re not going to listen to me, are you? If I wasn’t trapped here, I would’ve forcefully stopped you from doing something like this. But it looks like I’ll become no more than a spectator. Either I’ll watch you destroy yourself, or I’ll watch a miracle…"
