Bang~

Bang~

The old man was still hammering metal, trying to create something. He suddenly stopped, and looked to his left. He could see that a battle was taking place within his domain.

"That weapon? Isn’t that the weapon of that girl?" he frowned, sensing the presence of a weapon that was extremely familiar to him. In fact, he had helped in the creation of that weapon.

A weapon of a fable was not something that could just be taken from them. Even if they died, their weapons simply disappeared with them as they were connected to their existence and life.

These weapons weren’t like the weapons of humans, that could change hands easily with each battle. His face was filled with confusion, as he couldn’t understand how that was possible, despite him being a high tier fable.

"Old man, someone is fighting. Could it be them?" A young woman stepped out of the small hut, also looking in the direction of the battle.

Even though the battle wasn’t loud, it involved mid tier fables that were the strongest existences after people like that old man. Their battles made her feel a chill and suppression.

"I will go and check!" she suddenly said, and started running towards the direction. The old man finally moved, and appeared before her, blocking her path.

"You will get hurt if you go there. In any case, you don’t have to worry. The people that you saved have already left this place. The people involved in that battle are just some unruly fables. That human has nothing to do with them."

"But even if they are fables, isn’t it bad if they fought? They will get hurt." The woman looked at the old man with eyes filled with innocence.

"They won’t get hurt. They are just playing around and having fun. If you go there, you’ll disrupt their fun. Won’t it make them sad?" the old man asked. "You just stay here. I’ll go there and make sure that nothing bad happens. If it’s me, they won’t even notice it. It won’t spoil their fun. Isn’t that better?"

He didn’t give the woman any chance to speak, as he disappeared. At the same time, multiple metallic pillars came out from the ground, all around this area.

A magnetic field flickered between the barrier, before a barrier rose up, surrounding this hut and the woman within, to ensure that she didn’t rush out to get herself hurt.

The old man rushed to the sight of battle, hearing the sound of battle becoming even more intense with each passing second. There were many painful groans that couldn’t escape his senses that were accompanied by occasional explosions.

The old man made himself invisible, as he reached the sight of battle. He didn’t interfere, and simply watched the gruesome scene, standing next to a tree, supported by it.

The scene of battle was just as gruesome as he had expected. There were many fables lying on the ground, split in multiple halves. The remaining ones were attacking Elias at the same time.

The old man felt like this might be the end of the battle, as the enemies had already familiarised themselves with Elias’s attack patterns, getting out of their initial shock.

Even though Harbinger’s weapon was strong, it wasn’t completely invincible. If it was, then the girl wouldn’t have to act so cautious all this time. The people that were left in the battle were the strongest of the group, especially one particular woman.

"Did you think that one powerful weapon is enough for you to stop us? If we weren’t told to catch you alive, then you would’ve been already dead! But that is fine. It’s enough playing around!" The woman exclaimed, as she raised her hand, revealing the dagger that she was hiding behind her back.

She tossed the dagger at Elias, a weapon that was comparable to the sword of Harbinger. At the same time, the others also attacked Elias, targeting his arms and his legs to ensure that he didn’t die in the attacks.

There were just too many attacks for Elias to stop with his sword alone.

"This should be the end." The old man said, almost able to predict what was going to happen. The only weapon that was targeted at his vitals was the dagger.

Elias had no choice but to use his sword to block the dagger, but that was enough for the other attacks to target his limbs and make him unable to fight.

If he tried to stop the other attacks with the sword, then the dagger was going to hit him. There was no way out for him.

The old man didn’t intervene, since Elias was going to survive in the end. Moreover, it wasn’t his battle. Even if the battle was taking place within his domain, he had no interest in saving anyone, especially someone who might have a hand in Harbinger’s death.

They had saved him once. It was already enough. There was no need to go to fight for him, since he didn’t know who had sent the other side here. If they entered his domain, then they couldn’t be from a weak faction either. It was just too much of a hassle to intervene.

He had simply come to terms with the things that were going to happen, seeing that there was no other choice for Elias. However, what happened next, made him frown.

Elias didn’t try to block the dagger. Instead, he used the sword to block the other attacks that were aimed at his limbs. The dagger simply came for his vitals.

"Foolish!" Even the old man couldn’t control his shock at such a foolish decision. Was this boy really a fool? Did Harbinger die at the hands of someone like him?

It was only when he saw what happened next that his shock turned into disbelief. Elias reached out his bare hand to block the dagger, while the sword blocked the other attacks.

"Confirm Merger." He heard the words that were spoken by Elias, albeit faintly.
