Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 80: Dangerous Consequences
Harbinger’s eyes widened, not from his words, but from the sensation creeping up her arm. The moment Elias touched her, a coldness began to spread from his fingertips.
It was a sensation that was far more terrifying than anything. It felt like her very existence was being unraveled, thread by thread.

She quickly released his throat and tried to move back, but Elias didn’t release her hand. His grip was like that of a beast, with a strength that shouldn’t have belonged to one person.
"The existence of a fable is very interesting. The longer you survive, the more dangerous you become. Someone like you shouldn’t have been on the outskirts of this land. Were you waiting for the children?" Elias asked as he landed on the ground, still holding her wrist.
The void emanating from him grew stronger, consuming her arm at an alarming rate. Already, it had reached her elbow, turning her flesh dark.
"What... what are you?!" Harbinger screamed, her voice filled with a fear she hadn’t felt in centuries.
Her wings flapped furiously, trying to lift her higher, to escape, but it was no use. Elias remained grounded, like an unshakeable anchor in the ocean.
She didn’t understand how Elias was able to erase her existence to this extent. He didn’t even have a Soul Pet yet, so how was this possible?!
Only a fable could completely erase another fable from existence, which was why Soul Pets were a necessity for the Destroyer Class. If it wasn’t for the Soul Pets, she wouldn’t have been suppressed by the person that had destroyed her world.
Still, that person didn’t let his soul beast devour her; instead, he trapped her in the Land of Fables. She was trapped in this world, like the other fables, suffering while fighting for survival.
They were just materials to be used as whetstones for the future generations of Destroyers. It made them even more hostile towards the students that entered the Land of Fables.
If they became someone’s Soul Pet, then they were going to be forced to face other Fables. Either they were going to die in the process, or they would have to take part in the destruction of other worlds. None of them wanted that, especially not to work for these Destroyers.
If it had been up to them, they would’ve killed all the students that ever stepped foot in the Land of Fables. Unfortunately, they didn’t have such freedom. They were tied by certain rules that made them unable to do certain things.
The stronger fables were restricted to certain domains, and they couldn’t break free from those domains in the Land of Fables. Only when the students entered their domain did they have the freedom to do anything that they wanted.
Only the weaker fables were allowed to roam free without any domains. She was one such existence that wasn’t trapped in a domain and could move freely.
Despite that, she had been extremely cautious throughout the years, as many of the students that entered this land were like monsters.
To protect her existence from other fables, she had ensured that she didn’t enter the forbidden regions of the Land of Fables, where more powerful fables, those that were born in higher worlds, resided.
Throughout the years, she had survived by feasting on the weak fables, all so she could one day be strong enough to break her shackles.
After suffering in this land for hundreds of years, she finally felt like she was strong enough. Despite that, she didn’t feel confident enough to hunt the students near the forest of fables.
She stayed slightly farther from the forest, waiting for stray students, thinking that it was better to hunt them one by one. That’s when she saw the jet, she grew interested. She thought she had received stray prey.
She was supposed to be able to destroy them easily. They didn’t even have a Soul Beast to erase her existence. At worst, she could just escape if she couldn’t win.
At least that’s what she had thought. So how was it possible? How was a human devouring her existence? It should’ve been impossible for anything other than a stronger fable.
Just what kind of a monster had entered the Academy this time, that could erase a fable without a Soul Beast? She was sure that she was going to die if she didn’t free herself right now.
No matter how hard she struggled, she couldn’t free her from Elias’s grip. In the end, she grabbed her shoulders and ripped that arm off, separating another part of her existence and sacrificing it for her freedom.
She didn’t waste a single second and started flying back, as she transformed into her beastly form of a lion-like creature with wings.
The only difference was that she was missing one of her arms even in her beast form. However, even that arm which was separated from her body, had started transforming into the beastly claw.
Once a part of her existence was erased, she couldn’t heal it anymore, at least not until she devoured other stronger fables.
She didn’t have time to think about her arms anymore. She simply wanted to run away from the monster that could erase her existence. She had truly thought that she was a predator here, but the equation was turned on its head by this human.
She wasn’t certain about the bizarre abilities that he had shown. Even if she was stronger, she didn’t want to fight.
Elias watched the Harbinger fly away, while the decayed arm of hers turned into the purest form of fable’s essence, condensing into a small berry shaped sphere.
"Please don’t run. I promised someone your life, as a farewell gift for him. It would be unfair if I break this trade after taking his body," Elias said, as he ate the small condensed sphere.

Meanwhile, the real Elias was still trapped in the mirror, looking at a blood red screen.
