Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 148: Forbidden Existence
"A fracture in the sky?"
The scene left almost everyone aghast, especially the students of the Academy that had gathered nearby. The attacks of the Professors were not just reflected, but they were also strengthened when fired back.
The long fracture in the sky even created a hole in the protective layer of the realm, allowing the students to see the outer space through the cracks.

The Professor reacted quickly, and started healing the spatial fracture, giving it their all.
"Why do they look like they are more scared of the fracture than anything else?" Elias mumbled, watching the Professors trying to repair the fracture, even if it made them go pale with the exhaustion of their own life force.
"Isn't it because they truly are scared?"
"What's so scary about losing the protective layer for a short time? It's not as if there would be some grand threat right outside the realm. The Academy should have long taken care of the threats in the surroundings."
"That's where you are wrong." Astralious crossed his arms, looking at the fracture in the sky with squinted eyes. "The Academy is established in the realm between dimensions. They use specially created routes to enter and leave the realm."
"A variable spatial fracture in the sky is no different than a spatial tunnel that might connect to any random dimension in the universe. If you were in their place, would you be fine with such a variable at your border?"
The Spatial Fracture was slowly closed with the combined effort of the Processors. Within a few minutes, no more than a finger sized crack was left in the sky, which was also on the verge of closing.
"Looks like it's over," the nearby students sighed in relief with the crack almost healed.
"I wouldn't be that certain," Astralious thought differently, his voice growing more solemn.
"What do you mea-" Elias tried to ask, but he couldn't even finish his question when his heart skipped a beat, feeling an overwhelming aura that descended from the small crack.
The aura was only growing stronger, with something on the other side of the crack approaching fast.
"Elias..." Astralious mumbled, watching the nearby students falling to their knees under the overwhelming aura. Even Elias was having a hard time staying standing, his blood vessels bulging as he struggled to resist.
"What?" Elias asked with clenched teeth, as he summoned the Sword of Harbinger and stabbed it in the ground to use it as support.
"I think we should start praying that the crack closes before that thing gets in," Astralious said, gulping heavily.
"What if it doesn't?" Elias asked, even though he already knew the rough answer.
"If it doesn't close, then we would all die. Out of all the places in the universe, this fracture had to connect with..."
The Professors also felt the aura, and a rare few recognising it. Their bodies were already overwhelmed, but the aura made things even worse.
The spatial fracture that had almost closed, started getting bigger instead, with the force to close it growing weaker. A few Professors coughed a mouthful of blood, their struggle to close the portal growing even stronger.
"I think we might truly be screwed at this point," Astralious whispered with a hint of despair in his voice. "Well, there goes my dream of having a second life, and eating delicacies of this world. It was good knowing you..."
"Can you stop being so pessimistic? We aren't dead yet."
"It's only a matter of time. Because if I'm right about the thing on the other side, then nothing in his academy can stop it once it passes through."
"Is it some kind of monster?" Elias asked, still having no idea just what was approaching. As long as that thing wasn't within his sight, he couldn't even use his Analysis on it.
"I don't know." Astralious answered, making Elias look weirdly at him.
"How can you know that it's so dangerous, but not know what it is?"
"Because not a single person who saw that thing, managed to return alive to tell about it. There are only stories about it, and that aura matches those stories very distinctly."
"Should I be happy that I would finally get to see what no living thing had seen yet?" Elias rubbed his forehead, with the aura growing even stronger.
The thing was clearly far, yet the aura that he felt had already surpassed the aura of his father that he had felt before.
"How did you manage to connect to the forbidden place?" A man roared, bringing Elias out of his daze.
He looked above, and saw that two more people had arrived. One of them was the Dean of the Academy, but the second person was none other than the man who had tried to kill him.
The man bit his thumb, and tossed a drop of his blood at the portal. He brought out a treasure of Chronos, and connected it with the blood drop, increasing the speed of the spatial fracture closure.
The Dean also used everything that she had. For the first time, Elias saw the panicked face of the Dean while her forehead was covered with sweat.
Fortunately, with the help of the man from Chronos, the Dean was able to increase the closure of the fracture. Within ten seconds, the fracture was forcefully closed and the spatial tunnel to the forbidden place was closed.
The horrifying aura disappeared, and the students were freed from its grasp. Still, a lot of them had already passed out, lying on the ground.
There were only a few who were left standing, albeit barely, their bodies drenched in cold sweat. Elias was no different either.
"Should we really be relieved? If that thing is so strong, can't it still open a portal from his side?" Elias asked Astralious, while the other students had started cheering for the Dean.
Astralious wanted to say that it was impossible, but even he couldn't get himself to utter these words with how many impossible things he had seen happening already.
