Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 146: Flower of Flames
Elias observed the woman one last time. She didn't look like she wanted to stop him in the first place. She truly allowed him to leave, even though the others around her looked a little unconvinced.
He turned his back on the group and walked out of the hall, using his Student Badge to find a route to take him back.

Unlike before, he wasn't as lost, as he realised how useful the academy badge could actually be. He soon found himself out of the place and on the street.
"This is going to be a long trip back." Just looking at the holographic map of the Academy, he had a headache. The Academy was like a world of its own, and currently, he was in an entirely different continent of this world.
Even if he was to fly at his fastest Speed, it was going to take at least half a year for him to return to his residence. Fortunately, there was a shortcut.
Just ten kilometers away, there was a portal door which could be used to shorten the distance.
"Shouldn't you have asked her for a return scroll? We came here because of her after all," Astralious appeared next to Elias and reminded him.
"Hmm?" Elias came to a sudden stop, just remembering that it was also a possibility. If there was a scroll to bring them here, then there was definitely a scroll to take them back.
He rubbed his forehead, wondering if he should go back to ask for a scroll. But the thought of going back made him hesitate.
"It's just ten kilometers. It's not worth asking her for a favor."
In the end, he gave up on the thoughts and continued towards the Dimensional Gate. "Also, it's not often that we will get to walk in the heart of the Creator Class. Right?"
"That's also true." Astralious nodded, and followed Elias, keeping his hands in his pocket. "If you are going to stay here, then it's as important to know your enemy as anything. After two weeks, you would have to interact with them."
"Though, which agreement do you think she was talking about?"
"I have zero clue. I'm just as curious as you, what kind of agreement could I even have with her when I didn't have any strength or value?"
"Who would know if not you? You just want to hide it from me, don't you?"
"I am not even going to try to convince you. I would rather conserve my energy," Elias opened a portal and brought out another packet of chips, and started eating on his night walk back.
"If she is serious about the so-called deal, then she will find me back sooner or later. Until then, I will probably be finished with my trip to earth."
....
Back in the hall, a boy asked Sarah, "Why didn't you force him? Is it just because of his family?"
"His family might be strong, but they are not strong enough to intimidate you, right? Isn't your family stronger than theirs?"
"Do you think I would be this careful if it were just his family backing him? That's not enough for me to make a deal with him, but the real people behind him..."
Sarah gazed at the contract paper and the pen that was still left on the table, untouched.
"The people behind him? If it's not his family, then who is it?" The boy frowned, a hint of unease crossing his face. "This is getting more complicated than I thought. What should we do next?"
Sarah didn't answer. She stood up and raised her right hand, making the contract paper and pen vanish.
....
After walking for over an hour, Elias finally reached the closest Dimensional Gate.
He tapped his Academy Badge to the Dimensional Gate to activate the portal. Once again, numbers appeared before him, but only a rare few were lit up.
Most of the areas were off-limits for him, even more so than for the second-year student who had used his badge to guide him back.
This time, Elias wasn't as ignorant as before and knew exactly which number to press to return. He raised his finger, about to touch the number.
His finger drew closer, but just as it was about to make contact, a loud bang echoed from somewhere nearby.
The explosion was accompanied by a trembling of the earth and even the Dimensional Gate, which made Elias press the wrong button.
He didn't open the door that connected to the wrong place. Instead, he looked back toward the source of the explosion.
He saw smoke rising into the sky, accompanied by a cloud of flames, not far from him. A few seconds later, there was another explosion and an even bigger cloud of flames rose in the distance, covering an area no smaller than a city of earth.
"Is someone fighting?" Even though he was standing far from the site of the explosion, he could feel the surroundings getting warmer.
"That's quite destructive for people who are supposed to create."
"Did you think the Creators were weak? Just because they are not as destructive as those from the Destroyer Class doesn't mean that they don't have their own firepower. If anything, they have a huge advantage over people like you."
"The advantage that they don't need to take a life to become stronger?"
"Hmm? You know about it? And here I thought I would have to explain it again."
"It's not hard to guess." Elias turned back towards the door and pressed a different number, connecting him back to the right place. "If they were like us, things would only be worse."
He opened the door, finding a portal that had stabilized.
"Don't you want to check out the cause of that explosion?" Astralious asked.
"It has nothing to do with me. If it's really a battle, it would be a hassle if I went there." Elias stepped forward, his foot barely touching the portal when he felt the surroundings becoming visibly colder.
Specks of snow started falling from the sky, which made him glance back again. This time, he didn't see the flood of fire. Instead, he saw a frozen sculpture the size of a city that was made by freezing the flames.
