Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 144: Sign
"Please stop being stubborn!" Jason pushed the door back. "I insist."
"Can you stop trying to force me?" Elias frowned, watching the boy being so stubborn, despite being in an area that belonged to the Destroyer Class.
"I am not trying to force you. I just want you to have a meeting with her. At earliest, you might be back within an hour. I even brought a Portal Scroll to make the trip faster for you."
The man revealed a scroll which was made from an old piece of paper. Even without using Analysis, Elias could feel spatial fluctuations around the scroll.
"Have you thought about it?" he opened the scroll, revealing a formation carved in it. Without even waiting for Elias's answer, he tore the scroll.
"There is nothing to think about it," Elias sharply answered, watching the spatial energy surround Jason. If the man was interested in returning, then he had no problem with it. Just that he wasn't going to return with her.
At least that's what he had planned until Jason did something that he hadn't expected. He released the door, and instead his hand rushed like lightning, grabbing Elias's wrists.
The spatial energy that had covered Jason, spread out and covered Elias as well. Elias didn't have a chance as he found his surroundings turned white with the portal scroll taking effect.
He disappeared, along with Jason. The door slowly closed on its own, with no one to hold it open. The owner of the house had left the place, leaving only Lyra behind.
"What do you think you are doing?" Elias pushed Jason back, sending him flying straight to the wall behind him.
In mid-air, Jason regained his balance. He increased his weight, and landed on the ground before his body could crash on the wall.
"He's a feisty one," Jason patted his shoulders, not offended in the slightest as if he was just dealing with a child. But deep down, he was still a little shaken, feeling pain on his chest due to that push.
He shifted his gaze off Elias and looked in another direction. He placed his hand on his chest and respectfully bowed. "I haven't disappointed you, my lady."
Elias also glanced in the direction where he was looking, noticing that he wasn't in his house anymore. Behind him, there was a fifteen or sixteen year old girl, sitting on a couch with a drink in her hand.
Around her, there were a few more youngsters of the Creator Class, all looking in his direction.
"Are you Sarah?" Elias asked the woman that looked to be the center of attention. He also used Analysis at the same time, to see just what kind of existence that woman was.
"Hmm?" He didn't even need to wait for her answer, as his brows rose. The status screen of that woman truly felt out of this place.
Even though she was only fifteen years old, all her stats were at least twice as strong as the High Tier Soul Beast. She was also on her fourth evolution, which alone made her feel dangerous.
Even the weakest person around her was on their third evolution, including Jason who walked back to her.
"He was refusing to come with me. So I had to force him. I hope you don't mind." Jason said, stopping before the girl in the center of attention.
The dark girl placed the drink to the side and stood up, her height being comparable to Elias, despite her being a few years older than him.
Jason was expecting praise after successfully bringing the person that Sarah wanted to meet. He even thought he might get some reward.
Slap~
A loud noise echoed across the entire hall, which made almost everyone present here raise their brows.
"Huh?" A hand imprint was left on Jason's cheeks, as he looked in disbelief. He felt a burning sensation on his face, which was as much from the slap as it was from embarrassment that it had happened publicly.
Instead of being rewarded, he was slapped by that woman? He found it hard to believe.
"Who do you think you are to force him?" Sarah asked, her voice so cold that it made Jason shiver. This was the dignity of a fourth evolution creator, the best of the Third Year in Creator Class.
"D-did I do something wrong? You asked me to bring him to you. He kept refusing, so I had no choice," Jason tried explaining, but his words seemed to fall on deaf ears as Sarah simply walked past him.
The dark haired woman stopped before Elias, who was just as confused as Jason, if not more. Just who was this girl? If it was a trap for him, then why was she hurting her own people?
"I apologise for the way you were brought here. It was truly not my intention," Sarah told Elias, her words giving an impression that she truly wasn't lying.
He couldn't feel even the slightest bit of hostility from that girl. Despite that, he didn't lower his guard.
"Is there something I can help you with?" he asked, maintaining a calm exterior despite the turbulence in his heart.
"Only you can help me," the girl said. She waved her hand, and a table came flying straight to her.
The girl brought out a pen, and a blank paper. She placed the paper on the table, and the pen on the paper.
"Please sign it."
Elias observed the paper and the pen, none of which appeared ordinary. His first instinct was to use analysis, and what he saw left him even more confused.
