Chapter 2222: Chapter 2222: Sacred Wander Palace, Cody Yellow

After leaving the ’Human Demon Holy City,’ Wyatt Barnes headed southward with a group of Human Demon Clan members.

Presently, as the ’relic’ left behind by that human Saint Inscription Master further came to light, more and more members of the Human Demon Clan were leaving the Holy City and heading south.

"This is good... I won’t have to look for it myself."

Observing the large group of Human Demon Clan members leaving the Holy City and heading south, Wyatt thought to himself.

For a moment, Wyatt also followed the group of Human Demon Clan members, heading south.

"Hey! Brother, are you also going to the relic left behind by that human Saint Inscription Master?"

Just after flying a certain distance, suddenly a voice rang in Wyatt’s ears.

Soon after, a person appeared not far from Wyatt, flying alongside him.

"Are you calling me?"

Wyatt slightly turned his head to look at the person staring at him, and asked.

The person who appeared beside Wyatt was a young man dressed in splendid clothes, exuding an extraordinary aura.

For some reason, at the moment he saw this young man, Wyatt didn’t feel the usual ’disgust’ when he encountered Human Demons, instead feeling a sense of ’familiarity.’

This feeling was as if the person standing before him was not a Human Demon, but a ’human’ just like him.

"Yes."

The young man was handsome, and his smile gave off a ’boy-next-door’ charm, utterly different from the Human Demons Wyatt had encountered so far.

Out of curiosity, Wyatt’s Divine Sense quietly extended outward.

Only to discover:

Though the young man’s body also contained a rich and pure demonic energy, there was not a trace of Demon Race bloodline within him.

He seemed entirely human!

This distinction was entirely different from the Human Demons Wyatt had probed before.

When probing those Human Demons, besides finding rich and pure demonic energy within them, he could also detect an equal mix of Demon Race bloodline and human bloodline.

But now, the bloodline within this well-dressed young man was utterly pure human, just like him.

In other words, this young man in splendid clothing was a pure human!

"What’s up?"

Wyatt looked at the young man, asking.

"Brother, it seems you’re not one of us from the ’Sacred Wander Palace,’ right?"

The young man asked with a smile.

"Sacred Wander Palace?"

Upon hearing the young man’s words, Wyatt raised an eyebrow and asked, "You... are from the ’Sacred Wander Palace’?"

Previously in the Human Demon Holy City, Wyatt had heard of ’Sacred Wander Palace’ more than once.

Sacred Wander Palace, being one of the ’Three Palaces’ within the Human Demon Clan, was as renowned as the ’Crimson Flame Palace,’ the place where he had arranged for Keer and the others to stay, both being among the top forces within the Human Demon Clan.

Within the Human Demon Clan, the Sacred Wander Palace was also seen as an ’Odd Species.’

Simply because within the Sacred Wander Palace, from the Palace Master down to the ordinary disciples, all were ’human!’

To be precise, all were human Demon Cultivators!

Looking across the Human Demon Clan and the entire Demon Race in the Exiled Land, nine out of ten Demon Cultivators with pure human bloodline were in the ’Sacred Wander Palace.’

Sacred Wander Palace was established after the first Era of Human Demons.

At that time, a group of Demon Cultivators followed the Demon Race back to the Exiled Land, and some Demon Cultivators gathered together, forming a cohesive force.

This force had a very strict rule:

No matter who, they could only unite with fellow human Demon Cultivators; if they united with Demon Race, they would be expelled.

Precisely because of this, within this force, there were only Demon Cultivators with pure human bloodline.

The reason the Human Demon Clan was ostracized by other Demon Race groups was largely because of this force, because the Demon Cultivators within this force had no Demon Race bloodline and were purely human.

Because humans are inherently more gifted than the Demon Race, this force rapidly developed and grew in the Exiled Land.

Up to today, it has become a pillar-like powerful force within the Human Demon Clan!

And this force is precisely the current ’Sacred Wander Palace.’

"Sacred Wander Palace was the last of the ’Three Palaces’ within the Human Demon Clan to reach the Lower Domain of the Martial Dao Sacred Land... Many Human Demons speculated that Sacred Wander Palace chose to leave the Exiled Land for the Martial Dao Sacred Land after securing a foothold because they didn’t want to slaughter their kind, and yet couldn’t openly oppose the entire Human Demon Clan."

If there was one force within the Human Demon Clan that Wyatt did not oppose, it would be this ’Sacred Wander Palace.’

Simply because it did not partake in the slaughter of humans!

Additionally, because the people within this force were all of pure human bloodline, just like him, the only difference being they had received Demon Race heritage as ’Demon Cultivators.’

"Hmm, I’m from the Sacred Wander Palace... My name is ’Cody Yellow.’ How should I address you, brother?"

The young man in fine clothes looked at Wyatt Barnes and asked.

"Wyatt Barnes!"

Wyatt Barnes wasn’t in disguise now, nor did he intend to hide his identity, so he spoke directly.

"Wyatt Barnes? That name... sounds somewhat familiar..."

Upon hearing Wyatt’s words, Cody Yellow was initially taken aback.

Then he smiled and greeted Wyatt, "So it’s Elder Brother Wyatt... Elder Brother Wyatt, I feel like you’re a bit different from other Human Demons, very much like someone from our ’Sacred Wander Palace.’

Although Cody Yellow didn’t intentionally probe the bloodline within Wyatt’s body, he spent his days interacting with people from Sacred Wander Palace, as well as other Human Demons. Over time, he could naturally sense the difference between ’humans’ and ’Human Demons.’

From just outward demeanor and the subtle aura emitted, he could tell Wyatt was a pure human.

Of course, he could also faintly detect the strong and pure demonic energy on Wyatt’s body.

Therefore, he could be sure:

Wyatt was not a human from Martial Dao Sacred Land but, like him, a Human Demon cultivator from the Exile Lands.

For this reason, although the name ’Wyatt Barnes’ sounded familiar to him, he didn’t think of humans from Martial Dao Sacred Land, so he couldn’t possibly uncover Wyatt’s true nature.

"As far as I know... in the Exile Lands, it seems like it’s not only your ’Sacred Wander Palace’ people that have pure human bloodline, right?"

Wyatt said.

"That’s true."

Cody Yellow nodded.

Though ’Sacred Wander Palace’ gathers most of the Human Demon cultivators with pure human bloodline in Exile Lands, there are still some with pure human bloodline scattered outside.

And in the Exile Lands, such cultivators are hardly accepted by other forces of the Human Demon Clan, and are most likely to be ’Loose Cultivators.’

Of course, such cultivators are very rare.

That’s why he took the initiative to greet Wyatt, considering him a Loose Cultivator with pure human bloodline adrift outside.

"Elder Brother Wyatt, I’m planning to go see the relics left behind by a Saint Markings Master from the human race... If you’re heading that way too, how about we go together?"

Cody Yellow looked at Wyatt and asked.

Before Wyatt could respond, he added, "Don’t get me wrong, I definitely have no ulterior motives against you... I just usually interact with Human Demon cultivators with pure human bloodline who are from our Sacred Wander Palace. It’s rare to meet someone like you, a ’Loose Cultivator,’ and I’m especially keen to converse with you."

"No problem."

Wyatt felt no hostility from Cody Yellow and could tell he was a person of decent character, so he agreed without hesitation.

Moreover, even if Cody had any intentions against him, he wasn’t afraid.

Cody Yellow’s entire cultivation was only at ’Saint Immortal Third Form,’ posing no threat to him.

And so, Wyatt gained a travel companion.

Along the way, Cody Yellow was mostly the one initiating conversation.

Through Cody’s words, Wyatt also learned much about the Human Demon Clan, especially regarding Cody Yellow’s ’Sacred Wander Palace.’

During this, Cody also asked about Wyatt’s ’background.’

Wyatt opportunistically claimed that he was a ’Loose Cultivator’ from Exile Lands, always alone.

Cody Yellow, who already assumed so, didn’t doubt it.

"Elder Brother Wyatt, if you’re interested, you could join our ’Sacred Wander Palace’... As long as one has pure human blood, our Sacred Wander Palace generally wouldn’t refuse."

Cody Yellow said with a smile, "Personally, I believe joining our Sacred Wander Palace has nothing but advantages... Of course, it still depends on what Elder Brother Wyatt thinks."

"I’ll consider what you said."

Wyatt nodded, then continued, "However, the top priority is the relics left by the Saint Markings Master! If you know where that place is, let’s hurry over."

"Elder Brother Wyatt, you almost made me forget... I know that place; let’s rush over there!"

As Cody Yellow finished speaking, he suddenly accelerated, his body moving like a flash of lightning.

Initially, he didn’t speed up much to accommodate Wyatt.

But when he noticed Wyatt keeping up effortlessly, he accelerated further.

After several accelerations, he realized Wyatt was consistently maintaining an easy pace beside him, which surprised him, "I didn’t expect this Junior Brother Wyatt’s strength to be impressive too... Seems like I can try to move at full speed. If he can’t keep up, I’ll slow down."

With that thought, Cody Yellow fully unleashed his strength, moving at full speed.

His speed was more than double that of the previous moment!

Originally smugly thinking he could leave Wyatt behind, Cody Yellow was suddenly dumbstruck when he heard the whistling wind next to him.

"This..."

Cody Yellow noticed:

Even at full speed, Wyatt was still leisurely keeping pace beside him, not even breaking a sweat, looking entirely relaxed.
