Legend of Dragon Son-in-law-Chapter 2129: Interception and Assassination
Mount Baiyun.
The moon hangs high.
At the peak, a man with disheveled hair holding a wine jug stands with a sword planted before him.
Behind him, dozens of people stand.
"Master Trent, is your information accurate?" someone asks.
"There’s less than five minutes left until the time you mentioned."
"But right now, there’s no sign of anyone."
Everyone expresses their opinions one after another.
"Based on my investigation and the accounts of many people, I can deduce that Julius Reed is extremely conceited. Someone so proud wouldn’t lie; such people love to act openly and fairly." Trent Marsh raises the wine jug, which seems empty.
"Ah, good wine, the moon. To have such an opponent truly is one of life’s greatest fortunes." Trent discards the wine jug, still sitting on a rock, and raises his head to gaze at the moon in the sky.
Not a cloud in sight.
The starry sky is brilliant.
"Is there any news on the matter I arranged for you to investigate?" Trent wears a white shirt with the top few buttons undone.
On the bottom, just yellow work pants and leather boots.
The blade of the sword planted before him glints coldly in the moonlight.
"Master Trent, we’ve been searching everywhere for Silvio, but there’s been no news. Someone wondered if Silvio might..." The martial artist behind hesitates to speak.
Silvio is the nominal king of the Ten Thousand Mountain Alliance; no one dares to speak such treasonous words as saying he’s dead.
"He wouldn’t be. Silvio isn’t so easy to kill. Keep searching; the world is ours now, how could we not find out? Even if Silvio really encountered misfortune, you still have to find out for me, understand!"
Trent squints his eyes and slowly stands up. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
Because he sees a black dot.
Drawing closer from afar.
And the sound starts to appear as well.
"Master Trent, rest assured, we will intensify the search for Silvio. Wherever Silvio is, whatever happened back then, we’ll figure it out clearly!" the people behind quickly agree.
"The person I’m waiting for has arrived."
Trent pulls out the sword from the ground, eyes fixed intently on the airplane.
The information received says Julius Reed is on that plane!
Behind Mount Baiyun is a foggy region, where nothing can be seen.
Any aircraft passing through here must fly at low altitude.
Sure enough, the plane’s altitude starts to decrease.
"Julius Reed, we’ve finally met." Trent’s right hand grasps the longsword, sprinting out wildly!
He runs faster and faster, finally stepping on a rock and leaping into the air!
Boom!
His right hand directly grabs onto the bottom of the plane!
Trent thrusts the longsword into the airplane, his entire body leaps up, shattering a window and entering the plane!
As the plane flies so fast, Trent almost loses his grip.
He hasn’t been here for thousands of years, technology advances rapidly.
Such speed of planes is unimaginable in their era.
But upon entering the cabin.
Trent is stunned.
Inside, it’s completely empty!
No one at all!
"What’s going on!" Trent squints his eyes and slashes the door leading to the cockpit.
He’s a martial artist and can sense other martial artists’ presence.
But now, he feels there’s nothing on this plane!
Ding!
At the moment the door is shattered.
Inside the cockpit, a red bomb countdown has just ended.
"Unmanned?"
Trent squints his eyes, slices open the plane, and leaps out!
Boom!
The plane explodes in the air!
The violent impact fiercely pushes Trent out!
"What’s going on? Is Master Trent dead?"
The martial artist atop Mount Baiyun is dumbstruck seeing this.
Plane exploded?
This high up.
Such intense flames, it’s probably impossible to survive, right?
"What do we do, Master Trent is dead, we can’t be without a leader, let’s choose someone to be the boss."
"Democratic vote, one person one vote."
After the explosion, the martial artists start calculating their own plans.
And on a tree miles away.
Trent breathes heavily, his clothes completely torn.
Even his face is blackened.
"Julius Reed... you are no gentleman!" He clenches both fists, cursing in anger!
As a top martial arts expert, to act so dishonorably!
"This vendetta, I must avenge!"
Trent lies on the tree, slowly closing his eyes.
...
Gonzalez City.
A supersonic plane lands at the airport.
Then, they get into a black car.
The car heads directly to Itai Huntington’s international building.
After arriving, the group disembarks.
"Holy Lord!" The Emperor has already been waiting at the door, he and Aron Jackson quickly step forward and respectfully say: "Everything is ready, please rest, Holy Lord."
"Hawthorne speaking?" Julius Reed glances around, not finding the real king of the Military Department, Hawthorne.
"Hawthorne is on the way," the Emperor explains: "One of Trent’s men wanted to pledge allegiance, we thought to wait for your arrival before deciding, so we asked Hawthorne to watch him. Upon getting the news of your landing, Hawthorne is already on the way."
"Is Quella Radcliffe well?" Julius Reed’s voice softens noticeably when mentioning Quella.
"According to your instructions, we haven’t disturbed them," Aron smiles mischievously.
The Holy Lord has arrived, Gonzalez City has hope again.
"It’s too late, and we have many things; tomorrow I’ll visit them," Julius Reed says and strides into the building.
Just in case someone is watching outside.
When Dragon Dance passes, Aron and the Emperor are both surprised.
"Know why we didn’t inform Lady?" Aron chuckles.
"Haha, understood! Understood! The Holy Lord has many affairs and is quite tired." The Emperor and Aron share a knowing smile and quickly follow.
Forty-fourth floor of the building.
It’s very spacious here.
Julius Reed sits in the center, Dragon Dance on the left, Shadow Kims on the right.
"Let go of me! I want to see the Holy Lord!" A voice comes from the corridor.
"I’m taking you to see the Holy Lord. Hey, I’m very reasonable. Just make a request, I can basically satisfy you."
"Rubbish! You’re Hawthorne, but today I made a heap of requests, only you fulfilled the one where you might as well torture me to death! Scoundrel!"
"Haha, since you request this, I’ll satisfy you."
"Ouch..."
Half a minute later.
White Dragon is pushed into the room.
"Are you the Holy Lord?" When he sees Julius Reed, his heart suddenly tenses.
"That’s right, I heard you’re here to pledge allegiance?" Julius Reed glances at Dragon Dance, who responds with a look.
"Yes, I don’t want to mix with Trent anymore; I want to join you." White Dragon feels very nervous; he only heard of them before, now it’s his first time seeing the Holy Lord.
"Continue," Julius Reed gestures.
"I killed the president of the Martial Arts Association, as my pledge! Additionally, I cooperated with you to lure Trent over and then eliminate him!" White Dragon speaks passionately, continuously pondering how to make his words seem real and not reveal anything.
Beside him, Dragon Dance slightly frowns and shakes her head at Julius Reed.
"Beat him!" Julius Reed points at him: "Beat him to death!"
