Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 93: Threat To Their Kind
Darius stared at the massive Orc in front of him, prepared for anything that might happen in the next second. He was unsure if it would be a fight like the other Orcs.
’The feeling from Orc is strange. I can tell it is not normal by looking at it.’ Azree broke the silence in Darius’s head. Our young warrior was looking at the beast in front of him, still not ready to make the first move.
Ignor took a step back, gripping his axe firmly, he launched a strike powerful enough to shatter anything blocking his path.
"Here he comes!" Darius smiled as he jumped out of the way. The blow was enough to even cause another earthquake.
Our young warrior picked up Ve’xa, he swung the blade immediately trying to cut the Orc, but Ignor blocked the strike.
"It will take more than that to hurt me, human." The Orc pulled the blade of the sword, dragging Darius with it.
Darius braced himself for the impact. Once he was close to the beast, he took his stance. He turned to the Orc, he wasn’t about to let it walk away without getting hurt.
"Eat this!" Darius took a deep breath.
[Wrym’s Roar Activated!]
Letting out one of his most powerful attacks, it was enough to make sure that he wasn’t going to be the one losing there.
"Shamman’s Barrier!" The Orc cast a protective spell, protecting itself from Darius’s sonokinetic attack.
Darius’s eyes widened when he saw that the Orc was not a mere opponent but something that he would need to be wary of, and also make sure that he is not going to give it an opening to hurt him.
"I knew something was off about this monster!" He jumped back, cracked his knuckles, and charged up the gauntlets. "Now, let’s go!"
Ignor charged at Darius, using his club, he tried to strike our young warrior. But Darius evaded all his attacks, he moved smoothly across the battlefield. His gaze fixed on the Orc as he looked at an Orc corpse.
"That might work," He lifted his hand, pulling a dead Orc’s club to his hand with his telekinetic abilities. Ignor saw what he was doing.
"You don’t seem to understand, do you, warrior?" The Orc raised his club, about to strike Darius to the ground, but our young warrior managed to stand in time.
"I am the last thing you will see before you die!" The Orc roared as it brought its club down, and Darius blocked it. The clash sent shockwaves across the forest, and the ground beneath them shattered due to the massive energy they were giving out.
Darius had a smile on his face, he was not sure if he had felt like this in a fight before, aside the first time he faced Pryion. Looking at the Orc, he knew that there was something more to it. "You know what they say about big opponents like you?"
"What?!"
Our young warrior moved one of his legs as he drew his left hand back, "They fall harder!"
[Phantom Strike!]
Darius struck the Orc warrior with one of his powerful telekinetic punches, it sent the Orc falling back. Darius got this footing, he leaped into the air, looking at the beast, and he was trying to see if he would see anything that would be an opening for him.
"I don’t think this monster has an opening for weakness, Azree." Our young warrior landed a few feet away from Ignor, he was not even ready to look at the monster with a normal eye.
’Everything has a weakness, no matter if it is a god or even a great creature.’ Azree quipped, ’You just need to make sure that you would find a way to take it down, even if it would mean that you are going to be taking hits.’
Darius was looking at the monster, he could see that it was getting back on its feet. He looked on the other side, he saw Ve’xa and the red Cobra blade, with a flick of his wrist, and the swords hissed off the ground, streaking into his hands like a silver streak of lightning.
Our white haired warrior smiled. He was looking at the Orc. "Why don’t I strike till I make my own opening?"
Ignor was back on its feet, looking at Darius with pure rage in its eyes. "You are one formidable warrior, I wonder how long this will last for you?"
"I can last as long as you can, you are just a big bag of fat!" Darius dashed for the Orc; his speed was still the same, and he was trying to make sure he would rapidly attack to get an opening.
"Foolish human!" Ignor used its club to strike the ground, it instantly froze everything in the close region. "Dominos Orcania!"
Darius froze in place. It was something he couldn’t even predict that the Orc would use something like that.
"I can’t move my body." Darius could only speak as he watched the Orc coming close to him while pulling the club.
"Try not to die from this, I would love to play with you." Ignor raised his club, delivering a bone-shattering strike on Darius. The blow sent Darius flying, his back breaking trees as he crashed through the forest.
Ignor placed his club on its shoulder, it was looking at the warrior as he kept breaking into trees. It was about to go for him when he spotted Ve’xa on the floor.
Intrigued by the blade, Ignor went down to touch it. Almost immediately, when its hands were close to the blade, Ignor was taken to another dimension. Confused, the Orc warrior turned to see if it would figure out what was going on, standing behind him was a man with white hair like Darius, the only difference being that the man’s hair covered his shoulder, almost touching his hide.
"What is this?" The Orc warrior asked, looking at the man, who was still looking at the being in front of him.
The man’s eyes suddenly flickered open, revealing a pair of majestic red eyes, and coming from his back was a radiating golden aura. The pressure was enough to kill anyone weaker.
Ignor took a step back. He was looking at the man, but then suddenly the man began growing in size, his body deforming as his body seemed to be transforming into something else.
Ignor could hear bones readjusting as he saw the being he thought was a man transform into a massive Dragon standing 500 feet tall. The Orc warrior couldn’t even move anymore, looking at the Dragon in front of him, and knew if he did anything to anger it, then he might just lose his life there.
The dragon let out a powerful roar that seemed to shake the entire dimension. Ignor took another step back as he watched the dragon shift its attention to him. The dragon let out a roar before trying to eat the Orc warrior, but then Ignor dropped Ve’xa on the floor, and he was taken back to the forest.
Ignor looked at the blade, then he looked in the direction where he had hit Darius. Tightly gripping his axe, his face darkened. "That human must die before he brings about our end."
