"No need." Chi Lian waved off her brother’s suggestion. "If it is anything like the video of that arson, whatever he has was broken into parts and stored on devices that could not be hacked. They are probably switched off and buried somewhere...maybe under water or deep in a mountain. Even his accomplice has not shown their face. Deliveries of these phones are made from city to city, no fingerprints on the boxes. Complete anonymity."

She had not met a smart criminal in a long time and Huo Yanzhou intrigued her.

"Can’t you hypnotize him?" Zimo asked.

She shook her head. "I sent in someone to try and apparently, Huo Yanzhou has strong counters. He spouted some bullshit and sent Spider on a wild goose chase. I don’t want to make this complicated by doing unnecessary things. All we need is the video. We can afford to pay for it. It is not like I plan to be buried with my money anyway. I might as well use to punish that bastard for traumatizing my daughter, almost killing her, giving my husband a heart attack and preying on my daughter."

"And the tears you cried." Zimo mentioned. "Not to forget the pain the family suffered."

Chi Lian hands tightened around the edges of the counter. Money did not matter, vengeance did.

Mo Liang was lucky that his issues with Mei Mei were so publicized that they could not kill him off or disappear him randomly without raising eyebrows.

But maybe in a few years, they could revisit those options.

"Get me the last video by tomorrow and lets wrap this up." She told him. "The trial will begin after we return from the trip to Australia. That is only three weeks away."

Zimo nodded and then both of them returned to Mei Mei’s house, smiling anew as they joined the great outdoor bake off.

Chi Lian’s sharp eyes did not miss the sight of a maid secretly tossing a package of chocolate chip buns over Tangning’s fence. They were from the batch that was slightly burned and declared not perfect by Madam Feng.

She had asked the maids to dispose of them.

A small roll of cash was tossed over Tangning’s fence and it fell on Go Go Squid’s back. The maid snatched it up quickly.

The whole things made Chi Lian laugh. It really seemed like an illegal transaction!!

At the space camp, Mei Mei had thrown the first Fun with Whiskers day. Most guests, were dressed in clothes with characters from the animations. Others were dressed in costumes, store bought, custom made or home made. Stalls were selling merchandise with images of Whiskers and other characters from the animations.

The mascots were dancing on a grand stage or playing with children. Others were just mingling randomly with campers.

It was a festival of food and fun.

All of Mei Mei’s friends had showed up to support her, as well some family members that she specifically told not to show up.

Mei Mei was not watching the fun or the stage performances. She was watching something else which was disturbing. The unraveling of a scheme which involved an actress named Ji Weiwei and her step sister.

The fight had started twenty minutes before she arrived and it was still going on because both sides refused to cool down.

Thankfully, it happened out of the entrance to the private celebrity lounge so the only spectators were employees and the celebrities around that were interested in other people’s drama.

Zhilan was the one catching Mei Mei up on what had caused the fight.

"Ji Weiwei’s younger sister Ji Wanwan who is her step sister sold her information to Weiwei’s boyfriend in the past." Zhilan whispered in a voice filled with enjoyment. "So, he would show up everywhere she was and pretend it was a coincidence. He followed her everywhere she went and got jobs on every crew she filmed with.

He manipulated all the people around her like her manager and assistant. He stalked her and infiltrated her world and tricked her into dating him."

"It sounds like a horror movie passing for romance." Meihua commented.

Mei Mei and Zhilan looked up, both did not expect Taiyuan and Meihua to find them eating melons [watching drama unfold].

All four women turned their heads at the sound of a slap.

"Why did she slap her?" Meihua asked.

Zhilan lowered her voice and replied, "Apparently, after getting with Weiwei, the man turned around and chased Wanwan too."

Mei Mei’s eyes widened. "Wait, so he has been dating two sisters?"

Zhilan nodded. She had been there from the start of the fight because she was dropping off a friend of hers that happened to be a famous singer.

She had witnessed the first scene which happened to be Ji Weiwei catching Ji Wanwan and the boyfriend kissing right outside the door to the lounge after he dropped her off.

Ordinary people were not allowed to come to this floor or the lounge but assistants and managers were allowed to drop off their celebrities or pick up their personal items. Some of them even delivered food or snacks. That is how those two had reached the lounge.

The boyfriend had already run away, leaving the two sisters to face off. Ji Wanwan ended up revealing the fact that she had been the one that pulled the strings to get the relationship started.

"What a mess!" Taiyuan shook her head.

"Tsk, tsk, it gets worse." Zhilan said. "They both just found out that the man is a con artist. He took money from his ex-girlfriend to chase Ji Weiwei while pretending to be a poor man. Then he accidentally revealed the fact that he was a second generation heir of the noble Duan family."

The women all turned to Meihua.

She shrugged. "Why are you looking at me? I am a Rong, not a Duan. I am also sure that whoever you speak of is not from their family."

"It could be a distant relative or like they just discovered, a fake." Zhilan told them. "Anyway, he used money he got from Weiwei to chase Wanwan. In the end, he conned them both out of twenty six million yuan. If I were one of them, I would be more angry about the money than other things especially if I was Weiwei. She worked way too hard to get where she is."

"I think her reputation is what concerns her the most now." Mei Mei suggested. "This kind of scandal is going to send her into hiding for a while. Enough melon eating, I am sure the peep star will post about it. You are all my employees for the day so let’s get to work."

She had listened to enough gossip from agent Mingzhu to last her through the day.
